I’ve been watching a few of your videos at night when I have a quiet child free moment to myself. You’ve got such wonderful talent. You make something very impressive in such a small amount of time. Thank you for sharing your gift with us. I love the fact you’ve used the translucency of the medium to dramatic effects lost like sun illuminating the petals from behind them. So beautiful. Thank you from Australia.
I just started doing watercolor during the lockdown and loved this tutorial! I'm using it to make a mother's day card for my mom. Thank you for putting these out!!
Really enjoyed this one. Sometimes, you just want to do something simple andplay around with colour as a warm up whilst at the same time, not wasting materials. This is perfect for that. Thanks again
Thank you, Emma, I think I will make a selection of these to have ready to glue to blank cards as needed. I just bought some cotton hot press paper that I think will work nicely.
Hello from France ! I have been watching your paintings since about 2 months and I loved them and it's à very good training for me. Thank you so much. May 12, 2021. Nicole
Hey Emma! I've never seen glazing with transparent colors more succinctly illustrated than your magnificent, beautiful, stained glass like appearance in this video, ANYWHERE! OMG girl! Take a deep bow! Woot woot! Well done! Someone is going to pick you up on this channel and take you places. You're amazing as is your talent. Can't wait to see where you are in a year. Congratulations! Fanna Turano Denver, CO US
Is it really necessary to rudely comment on another person’s allergy or sinus issue? Why, in today’s society must people be so unkind? Whatever happened to “if you have nothing kind to say, say nothing at all?” This gal is very talented, and is kind enough to share this talent with everyone for FREE, mind you. I, for one, appreciate it..
I’ve been watching your instructional beginner videos and have applied your techniques. I’m learning so much and wanted to thank you. I was hoping I could message my miniature 3x2 first attempt at layering petals. 💕
Emma~ I actually found your channel by a fluke. I was looking for something in particular and there was your video painting flowers in layers. . I thought..wow how gorgeous but there’s no way I can do that! I need to paint something that I’ve sketched beforehand, I find it easier, but the final results I just don’t care for. I was about to throw in the towel and give up, but I ended up watching your video. I’ve watched other videos on layering but I just couldn’t relate to what they were talking about.. You take your time explaining what you’re doing so that we can fully understand it. Being a beginner is hard enough, but finding the right teacher well that takes a lot of research. I couldn’t believe it, right in front of my eyes was my very 1st watercolor painting, not sketched, and it actually looked really pretty. Thank you for that because I really didn’t think I would find anyone I could relate to. You’re an amazing teacher, your work is beautiful, and I have my confidence back. I subscribed to your channel and I’m looking forward to watching more videos and seeing my work improve. I belong to a “beginners watercoloring group” and have yet to post anything. I will now. Thank you Thank you💞🌸🎨🌺👩🎨💞
Emma Lefebvre, I’m sitting at my desk sketching the daffodils you’re painting in a video, so I can paint them tomorrow and a notification goes off on my phone. It’s a comment from you. Now that’s perfect timing👍 Today I woke up with a new attitude & perspective about watercolors. This all began (my new hobby), because I wanted to paint something special for my great niece. It’s her 1st birthday on May9th and this is very important to me. Claire passed away the day she was born, and I have something special planned that I want to paint. Also, I’m painting tulips for my niece Taylor (her mom) because I think she deserves something beautiful as well on that day. It has been a horrible year, and painting has actually helped my heart and soul. That’s why the gratitude I have (in finding you) is such a blessing to me💞💞
Emma - these flowers are beautiful! I love how paint with such ease and free flowing technique. I've been struggling with watercolour flowers, but with your great inspiration, I'm going to get my paints out now and give it a go!! Thank you - will continue to watch your tutorials too!
I know these are old videos but I have just started painting and have been watching all of your tutorials. I LOVE this! Is the key just letting the first layer dry completely? Thanks so much!
