I'm a Mom of 15 month-old baby girl and I had postpartum depression. I couldn't find anything that could help me through it easily. And I found you. Now I can draw flowers, write hand lettering, design some simple cards for family. It helped me get through the depression more easily. Thank you for inspiring me !

Hi Le, my mom went through the same, I wasn't even born and she was already mother of three. When my siblings and I grew up she told us about her postpartum depression and how painting helped her through it. Now my house is full with what I consider, my favorite works of art. I'm glad that you, as she did, found a kind of therapy in painting. I'm very happy for you :).

I love your style! At 68 years old and finally retired I have discovered watercolors although I am just starting out. I always loved watercolor paintings and now I am attempting to do it myself. The seventh grade art teacher who gave me a "D" really took away all confidence my whole life! I would always say I wasn't "artistic". Well it turns out I can be! Thanks for the lessons!

I am working on drawing a Christmas-themed floral wreath. I was inspired by watching one of your tutorials on drawing leafs around a circular form. I even followed your suggestions of drawing it on grid paper first. This has been a game changer for me. It helped a lot and I am pleased with how it turned out. I haven't started painting it yet because I need to get some better paintbrushes. Thanks for putting out such wonderful videos that are enjoyable to watch and inspire me to believe that I, too, can paint!

We discovered you while on vacation and just joined you on Patreon this week, setting aside time each week to learn something new from you. we're loving it and keep finding ourselves practicing and doodling and always grabbing our sketchbooks and pens on the way out the door-- just incase we get a spare moment waiting somewhere we're headed! Thank you so much for this beginner tutorial. I just started watercolor painting and I’m loving the loose painting of trees and florals and fields. I feel like I’m painting more of the “idea” of a grove of trees, for example, than an actual grove of trees. I rather like the look. It reminds me of Monet. I love taking a blank page and creating something on it. I don’t know what exactly it will be when I begin but I let it just happen as it will.

I like the floral/herbal/foliage type stuff you do, Shayda. And, I especially like your low-key approach. It's very encouraging.
I'm trying to do Christmas cards, but I need so much practice.

Painting florals for my bridesmaids cards, practicing from your earlier videos. As soon I finish that, I’ll start with Christmas ones. Thanks for teaching so well. Love your style. Hoping that you will show watercolour florals for Christmas 🎄

I'm getting hooked to drawing botanicals and flowers because of this channel!! Makes things so much fun and easier. I'm practicing sketching now but I can't practice watercolor because I want to invest in good materials that will last long and of good quality and I'm still saving some money for it :) Continue inspiring us Shayda with your beautiful works of art! Lots of love from the Philippines! 💗🌸🍃

Oh my goodness if my practice looked like yours, I would frame it and be so proud! You are amazing. I’m practicing Christmas cards. Snowmen, Cardinals on a fence, nativity, holly, and anything I can think of. No success yet but I’ll keep trying. Thank you for your videos. This beginner appreciates you so much!! 🥰

I just added acrylic paint to my bullet journal for the first time! I painted a starry sky. Next month I'm inspired to try watercolor in my bullet journal and paint a sunset

I’m not exactly an absolute beginner yet this video esp the stroke/shape practices was so helpful! Florals are still difficult for me and loosing up my painting is another problem. I too am guilty of “messing” with my florals until they become unrecognizable so I truly appreciated and learned from this video. Also I’ve found using different brushes such as a triangle brush which are rarely shown being used in many videos have helped me with not just florals but other things. So I would love to see some more videos highlighting different brushes and how they can help make florals a little easier. As always thank you so much for ur videos!
