I absolutely love this idea I'm brand new to watercolours and I'm already in love with the whole process 😍 thank you for sharing this with us all I so appreciate all the tips and tricks you share with us all ❤️
This is so beautiful, I'm very new to watercolour, 2 months ago I didn't even have the confidence to pick up a pencil, let alone a paintbrush. After some nagging from my partner I've started drawing and attempting to paint. This is most definitely something I will be trying and I've saved the video in my art playlist for my next painting session ❤
Lovely floral techniques! I have worked with a great number of paints and some brands do “jump” across the surface of your watercolor paper! It really depends on how much Gum Arabic as well as Ox gall is in the paints! QoR uses a synthetic wetting agent and is known for the movement of their watercolor paints! If you have any paints that just sit there no matter how much water you use, you can buy a wetting agent Ox gall natural or synthetic and spread it out on your paper or mix it into you color of choice and watch it run! Lovely painting Emma thank you for sharing this sweet painting with us.
Your little one is gorgeous, your paintings are gorgeous, and you are gorgeous! Love your content Emma, I rarely comment but never miss a video. My son is 11 now but I miss when he was that age so he's the one who dragged me out of the shadows and made me comment. Keep the beautiful informative wonderful videos coming please. Thank you for sharing with us!
Thank you Emma. I will try it too. I watched someone elses tutorial and what he addad to get the explosion is a drop of oxgal to your water and then wet the brush in it and your paper and then in the paint. I've tried it and it worked well. I hope I explained well enough 😊
Love your lessons! Your sons are adorable! I look at flowers and landscapes wondering how to paint them in water color. It's a delight. Thank you Emma, you are appreciated very much.
I love this!! ❤ I never had an interest in watercolor, but im so wowed by the ease, simplicity, and beauty of this, that im going to take some time to delve into it. Thank you!
Really fun painting and technique! Loved seeing your little son painting with you❣️When I first started trying watercolor again, your oldest little boy was a baby and I always enjoyed seeing him with you in the beginning of your tutorials.
This looks so loose n relaxing. Perfect for beginners to explore and learn their paints! I am going to do this tonight with my daughter just for something relaxing to paint! Ty!
Wow, I’m going to love to pain this today. Your sweet Baby is absolutely beautiful! And my gosh he’s talking so good for such a little guy! He looks like all my babies looked, blond, blue eyed and ivory skin. I bet it’s hard to paint and get things done right now, you have to be running your legs off keeping up with a baby. I remember the days, I had four little boys and I was so busy, but that was the best time of my life. I really enjoyed seeing him and watching you paint today !
Emma, I enjoyed this lesson very much. Tomorrow I will get out my different brands of paint and test and label them all!! Can’t wait! Now to get some sleep.
I love your tutorials, you have such a calming voice that makes me feel like it's ok that it's not perfect, I'm learning. I have a question. How do you get your colors to remain so vibrant,?. when mine dries it just becomes very pale.
I know that you did this in this video, but I would love if you could talk about how to turn paintings from looking like a motif into a composition, please. BTW love your assistant! Will he share any of his finished work, too? (Loved his excitement when he saw the flower appear.)
I tried this today. I am so disappointed it didn’t come out. This is my first time doing watercolor but I am not giving up and I love your channel. It was not a total failure but did not come out like your. I am using master’s touch and cold press 140 lb.
From my experaments i honestly think some colors have oxgall and others dont or they have some more than others do. Along with pigment weight. Because even qor will have some that really explode and others not so much.
Wonderful! Going to use that for my Mother’s Day cars. Mom will he 99 this year!
I am going to be teaching a watercolor class at a senior center and I think this might make a great warm up exercise. Thanks for sharing.

Great mental health exercise too! Enjoyed that, makes you realise how each brand and colour have their own personalities.
I haven't yet gotten into watercolor but will try this technique. Your son is so cute!
Awe!!! The handsome little guy 💕
Great tutorial!🎨🖌
I’m fairly new at watercolor painting. So this method I’m definitely going to try. Thank you for the tips.
What a great demo. I have only been water coloring for 3 weeks. This is a must try. Thank you.

Lovely. Watching the paints explode is so much fun. Thank you to you and Miles for brightening my day.
Thanks for the info on amounts of water to use in wet-on-wet. It's something I'm working on, and this was helpful.
Miles is so sweet! Your boys are going to be artists when they grow up Emma! This is an awesome exercise! I can't wait to play!🥰🥰

This is a great video Emma. Exactly what I was searching for. Thank you! Your baby is adorable ❤️
I struggle with flowers. Thank you for showing me a simpler way to paint them.
Emma's brushes are a pleasure to paint with. They are one of my favorites. @Craftamo and Emma did an excellent job with them.
Even if it weren’t a great tutorial I’d be liking it for the massive cuteness of your opening and closing!
Love your lessons! Your sons are adorable!

Emma: Link to the brushes you developed w a manufacturer, please? Brushes are critical. Brushes, substrate, media.
Fun! Love your baby’s interest in colors!
Stunning! You always make it look easy
They (Bee Paper) make 140” - 50 sheets 6x9 $20. My favorite of all.
I just bought the 6x9, absolutely love this paper!
My favorite also.
Love Bee Paper. I get 2 pks of 50 sheets 9x12 for $12 bucks on Wal Mart on line. Great for card making.

Excellent! I was trying to figure out how to paint Rock Rose today.
Can't wait to try this how fun! I love w-o-w. Thanks Emma 😊❤
Try Qor watercolors. They are known for their “explosive” quality due to their synthetic oxgall.
Emma thanks for sharing. Your baby is so adorable. ❤❤❤

Love this!!!
You can make butterflies and dragonflies with this method too!
Do you think transparency has anything to do with "explosion"? I haven't researched the transparency of the colors that you have used in your example.
Love, love, love this!❤️
