This is stellar! Out of all the beginner-technique tutorials I've seen, this is the best. I especially love how you showed the practical uses, too ~ I've never seen someone do that before. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much!!!! I realize there are many videos on this but I always wanted to make a comprehensive list of my favourites for you all and also honestly for myself 😊 just to “think through” this all at once. I had fun recording it and I am happy to hear you enjoyed it! 💕
@@AnnaBucciarelli I just love videos like this. While I'm about 2 years in now, I'm still at a beginner level ~ I can't get enough of tutorials like these and I'm *EXTRA* glad you did one, too. For yours to be the best out of all the ones I've watched... I tip my cap, many times!
@@AnnaBucciarelliI just found your channel. Your informative, detailed explanation and calm voice encourage me to watch and practice watercolor painting. It has been a while since I did.❤
Thank you! Your guidance on drying times/paper wetness and paint characteristics (transparent/granulating, staining/non-staining) are especially helpful.
You are a wonderful teacher! This exercise is so helpful. I have had problems with ratio of water and paint. I now realize how important a block of good paper makes the difference.
TYSM!!! After 2 years, I'm finally able to create art again. I drew my 1 full scene yesterday & I just sat down to paint It's for Kansas day so I have our native plants, wildlife as well as our other state symbols. I have both a sunrise & a lake, so I have an immediate use for many of these techniques. Thanks again.
Hi Anna, Just wanted to let you know that I followed your suggestions and bought the size 4 and 16 Escoda Mimak Synthetic paint brushes and the Arches 💯 percent cotton, hot pressed paper and used them to create my illustrations. They came out soooo NICE. My daughter came in and complimented my images. Thank YOU soooo much 🤗. Keep up your wonderful tutorials.
Anna Bucciarelli! You are a treasure! THANK YOU for sharing your art wisdom and exceptional techniques with the world. It's truly a pleasure to learn from you! Not only are you a GREAT artist -- you are an exceptional teacher as well. I'm so excited to take ALL of your classes.
This is helpful. I have learned that timing is extremely important and many artists don’t share how long to wait before applying the paint. It’s nice to hear how long to actually wait. Thank you!
I love these “skill” tutorials. When it goes up on Patreon I shall have a couple of good practice sessions. I would so love to be able to progress to painting from my own photos but I really struggle with the composition. Maybe a more in depth tutorial on that 🤷♀️😊.
Thank you for this fantastic tutorial ❤..I’m so out of practice with my painting as I’ve had a long break due to work being done in the house and my stuff was all packed away..I’m going to practice this today 😊
I truly believe you are the only content creator on RUclips that would never need to ask a single time for even a single person to subscribe! anyone that comes across this content is going to subscribe immediately
From an ADHD'er that can't focus very long, these mini snapshot techniques in each square is insanely perfect for me. Thank you so much - Subscribed (obviously! Lol)
Thanks for this beautiful, graceful tutorial! The wet on wet effects are truly magical. One other technique that comes to my mind is to sprinkle colors with a brush on a wet color layer. A little bit like blooming but smaller.
Thank you so much for this! I need to take photos of some polymer clay projects and wanted a very soft background, but not just one color. I want some texture and depth. Not being a painter, I had no idea where to start, besides buying paper and paints. Now I have direction and inspiration to get my background papers finished in the next day or two!
You are such an amazing instructor. Your explanation and demonstration are so well thought out and informative. Thank you! I find your finished pieces to be absolutely stunning!
Great demonstration. Thanks. Also, a discussion of papers would be good. My paper was too absorbent and sucked up the color like blotting paper. I'll try again with one of the Fabrianos.
Amazing.... new to watercolour and really looking forward to trying this myself. Took a couple of short courses recently and learned more in this videomthan the 20 weeks I wasted. So happy right now. Thanks.❤
Super 👍super 👏super🙏 I don’t know if you can still read Ukrainian? I’m retired and live in Florida and have chance to learn some painting.what I like it. Delighted to hear you are enjoying the videos. So nice your grandkids are pursuing creative hobbies - it’s so important regardless of whether it becomes their profession or remains a hobbie. I worked a corporate job for 15+ years until stumbling on RUclips and illustration work. All the Ukrainian folk art training I received in Kiev as a child has given me a new career 😊 слава Україні 🩵🧡
Hi Anna, would you like to tell me from which label your colors are, they are having a wonderful bright shining and from which label is the wide brown paint brush? You are making me interested in trying this technics!!!!They are great!Thank you for showing!!!
Sometimes while painting roses, a thin white line magically appears..looks wonderful in emphasising a petal. But I don't know how that happened. What was it I did? Would be grateful if u could explain how to create this.
i didn't get the same results you did for.the 1st, 2nd, 4th, the salt application and the last demo didn't look the same as yours. I used Koi Water Colors on Canson 140 lb cold press paper, would that had made the difference? For even the 3rd sample I had to switch to a small flat brush to get the same effect.
