I don't understand the "dislikes" on anyone's tutorial video. What is there not to like? I ask that as a serious question. This is your style, your personal work, if someone doesn't like it, move along. I just don't understand why someone would unlike it. I thank you for your tutorials. I wouldn't even know where to start if people like you didn't offer these how-to videos. I can develop my own style later, but I have to start somewhere, and I'm thankful that people like you are willing to offer this help. I'm inspired by what appears to be the ease of water colors.
Just found this video now. I am in awe of your work. I have just started doing some watercolour painting now at the age of 70 and today tried your flowers from one of your videos. (It was one with easy flowers) I was so surprised that I could paint them. Thank you so much. You cannot believe how happy you have made this old lady, especially with all the stress over the last year. I live in South Africa so can't get all the pens you mention but will do my best with what I have. I am so excited with all the videos I have to watch of yours now.
I agree with how helpful this video is. I am 78 and am returning to watercolor after many years. I’ve learned that I love using a flat brush. There’s something very liberating about this teacher. Thank you CeeCee.
@@gmax758 I am 72,and so excited to add watercolor painting to my well of creative pursuits. I am living my best life ever with time to do what delights and brings me joy. Thank you for these lovely and instructional videos that give me the inspiration to create. You are a wonderful teacher and I thank you for sharing your gift of watercolor painting. Much gratitude!
I love the doodled book marks. They stand out remarkably. Thank you so much, CeeCee. You are inspiring.
Yes, I still read books, and so to my friends. They love getting bookmarks and yours are a great inspiration. Also, sometimes I cut out book quotes (Google book quotes), and glued them onto the back. Things like “reading to the mind is like exercise to the body“ thank you ceecee!
I vote for the doodled portion of the painting! I think the doodles catch your eye and bring everything to life.
Doodled or not, each individual one has its own charm. I love them all. Thank you so much for the inspiration.
They're absolutely beautiful! I love them both. I'm pretty new at watercolor painting and have never seen your technique of wetting the back of the paper and taping it to glass. I'm also trying to loosen my paintings up a bit and this is so helpful. I'm definitely going to give this a try as a few last minute Christmas gifts. Thank you so much for sharing!
I absolutely love both styles, but the doodled ones are my favorite! Thank you for sharing your talent!
They are both beautiful! I LOVE the doodled bookmarks best! Thanks for this tutorial!
I love the result. Love both with and without doodling.
Beautiful. I love both the doodled and the non- doodled. The loose florals have a lovely relaxing sense attached. 💐
Wow Catherine!!! This is amongst my favourite YT vids. I play it over & over because you make gorgeous art that your kind & patient tutorials make it easy to follow & practice with. A huge THANK YOU:)!!!
Thank you so much. My heart raced when I spied a new video from you. I’ve watched EVERYTHING you posted a few times, at least, some a lot. ♥️
I always love your doodles, they add so much character to your work :) I would enjoy seeing more watercolors enhanced with doodling!
Can't decide! They are both beautiful in their own way. Thanks for demonstrating.
"WOW"
BEAUTIFUL...
I am so glad I came across your video...
This shows just how you take different pens and
accentuate each painting strip. "Amazing"
Thank you so much for sharing these technique(s).
That is a really smart trick/tip! Wetting first, that is. Thank you so much. And, your painting is so beautiful!
Both are stunning but the doodled bookmarks won my heart! I appreciate your art tutorials! Please keep the “camera rolling!”
I LOVE the doodled flowers, 2nd from the end is my favorite. Hard to choose as I love them all and they look so great together! Ohhhhh...love the orangy red/green ones too! Love them all! ❣ ❣ ❣
Absolutely love them. I’m a new painter and can’t wait to try these out. Thanks for sharing!
I love this type painting! Your tutorial is exactly what I have been looking for. Thank you!
I love both but if I have to pick one I would say the non-doodle are my favorites! Thanks for sharing
Only discovered your channel this week and I absolutely love it. I also really appreciate how you explain everything, consequently I'm having a go after a very long time. So thank you very much X
I love this style of loose abstract florals. The technique is so pure, so simple. The result is astounding!
I liked all the final result results. Each one created subtle differences in the final painting/bookmark. Thanks! ❤😊
Just lovely. What a great approach and tutorial. I cant pick which I like better. These are both fabulous.
Love your paintings.....I feel inspired to give it a try....I am a card maker....but these are sooooo pretty....love the way you trimmed them to be bookmarks and then showed them on a white background with spacing!!!!! thank you for the inspiration!!!!!!
Just beautiful! I think the doodled ones just have the edge and yes I still read books - I love the feel and smell of them.
I love them both equally. You made them look so easy, easy enough for a beginner so I'll give them a try! They will be perfect for a friend who is an avid book reader. Thank you for sharing your talent with us!
They are all gorgeous. I could not possibly choose which is my favourite ❤️
Love both, so pretty and they have such flowing energy! You have a beautiful, soothing voice. Thanks for sharing your creativity.
Absolutely love this technique and can’t wait to give it a try! Especially like being able to create bookmarks as they make fun gifts and gift cards! I love your “doodle” paintings the best! Thank You! 🧑🏼🎨🎨
👩🎨
They are beautiful i love both the doodled and non doodle ones the combination pink and golden yellow is so pretty
I really liked how the painting grows, with layers of watercolor. It really comes alive with the doodles ! I Like the gel pens added to the picture. It makes everything pop ! It's fun and you really can't make a mistake. Thank You !
I love them both, you have really inspired me to paint again. Thanks for sharing.
I loved the bookmarks all set out in a mix of doodled and non doodled - like a triptich or multipanel . very inspiring, thank you.
Absolutely beautiful video!! As a first time viewer I’m mesmerized by both your dispersing of colors and with such a light touch. I’m also thrilled with your voiceover tips, guidance and encouragement.
This is exactly the kind of style I’d like my watercolor paintings to convey. The doodles add such a nice touch and dimension. I’m so glad I found this video and I can’t wait to try to recreate my version of your lovely and beautiful painting!
Your work is outstanding! It's a joy watching you work. Your vision and creativity is exceptional !!!
Love them all but love a good line and wash. You make it look so very easy. Will be a good “warm up” session for me when I’m tentative about painting, putting too much pressure of myself to get it perfect. Perfection can come from being completely carefree and loose! Thank you!!
These are so whimsical and fun, Cee Cee. Thank you for sharing your skills!
Beautiful! I love the watercolor + doodles ❤️ Thank you for another inspiring video.
Omg. Your artistry and workmanship. I envy you. Thanks for sharing. Doodle all the way
I actually love both and I like them in alternate strips on the white background. It adds to the impressionistic feel.
These are so beautiful. My favorite are the doodled ones. I just love the details. Thanks for sharing your talent.
I'm a doodler myself so I'm drawn to those but those red ones are stunning!! Love watching you work.
These look like fun to make! I like the non-doodled ones the best, but the doodled have a touch of whimsey to them that I enjoy. I'll give these a try!
Definitely should be in your top 5 videos-this is something anyone can learn to do-the best warm up exercise and also a great way to use up extra paint if you like to keep a “clean” palette between sessions! Love 💕
I love the doodled ones--the doodling adds a different layer of interest and talent. I love the idea of a library person giving out the bookmarks! I think any patron would be thrilled to have one.
Thank you for sharing. Water coloring can be intimidating, but you make it seem so easy. Beautiful
Your sooo inspiring! These turned out beautiful. I really like your doodling, it adds a whimsical feel. Thank you so much!
It's difficult to say which one is more beautiful. Both are amazing
Just gorgeous as always, CeeCee. You make it look effortless and the results are always spectacular!
I've been watching you for months and last night I finally sat down and made this, it turned out great!!! Thank you.
I love both but prefer the doodled ones. A very inspiring tutorial indeed. Hopefully when I try my hand at this, I'll get a similar amazing result. Thanks.
I added my comment BEFORE I watched the doodling. I LOVE the doodling so much. I am self taught and have also made a bunch of bookmarks from “ failed” paintings but nothing to compare with yours. Thank you so much for all your wonderful ideas!
I love this video! You have inspired me to give it a try. I would love to learn how to paint and you make this look like something I could start with. Your teaching style is low key, relaxed with the needed detail for a beginner like me. I love the doodled and the non doodled with their different look. Thank You!
I really enjoy watching you create beautiful pieces of art. You make it look so simple. I like the non-doodled bookmarks the best, although I love your doodling. It looks softer without the doodles, so it really depends on the look you are after.
Wonderful and inspiring, CeeCee!! I like the non-doodled the best. Thank you!! ❤️❤️❤️
I adore the doodled ones!! You've inspired me to get back to my watercolors.... thank you for that.
Love the freedom in this - even when you used your markers, that sense of fun was still there.
Fabulous! Thank you so much for this video, it is very inspiring! I actually really like both, but if I had to choose, it would be the doodled ones. I like the contrast created by the black lines. Looking forward to seeing more!
Both versions are so beautiful, but I absolutely love the "character" of the doodled ones!
Oh my gracious! Lindsay the frugal crafter taught me I could draw and paint, Angela Fehr taught me to loosen up and I have experimented and searched and here you are! Here I am and I feel amazed at what you showed me that I can do. I did and can't wait to share these lovely bookmarks. I used some 'Honey shimmer colors because I am into sparkle (subtle) and it takes a while long to dry. I am in awe of you and all the other ever giving artists on RUclips. Like me with my Jewelry making, no one does your art quite like you so don't be afraid to share. I humbly thank you, La Jeanne.
Loved both of them! I really like loose florals, they are my favorites in some cases. Specially for beginners it’s a good way to start! Thanks for your teaching 🌷🌻🌼🌺
Love this!! Both color palettes were beautiful. I think I prefer the non-doodled ones for their simplicity but the others are so pretty, too. Thank you for another great video!
So glad I found your channel. Just binge watching today. Love your style. Can't wait to see more.
They are all beautiful! I would choose a doodle one though. Thank you for a wonderful tutorial!
I love watching you. I know I overthink and try to be too literal with everything I try to paint. I am new to watercolor and your creative style really helps me to see that loosening up and not being a perfectionist will actually help me to open up to discover and enjoy being creative. Bookmarks are great. I still read books too! In this tutorial, I liked the white guache ones best, but I do enjoy your doodles! So fun!
BEAUTIFUL 😍 My favorite were the doodle. So striking with the black but the others were lovely as well.
Beautiful and inspiring. I love the doodled ones.
Loved them all but the doodled ones had wonderful energy for me! Thank you so much!
The very best video I’ve seen to date. Excellent presentation talking over a video. Nothing tedious, no dreadful chat and very careful and measured. And the style and finished product-beautiful. This will be my go to for quite some time. Thank you.
Really nice technique to "underpaint" then doodle in black. Very effective. I'm going to make some of these for my daughter who is about to go off to university (lots of books) ! Thank you for the inspiration : )
Love this!! Both are beautiful, but the doodling draws me in to look closer. Thank you for sharing!
well I am a pen-aholic so I love the doodled ones, but the "plain" ones are also gorgeous! Gosh, I could just watch you all day and paint right along with you, as I often do. Lovely work!
I really love learning how to doodle on my water paintings. Thank you for showing me out side of box, water coloring
I love both but especially the doodle ones. My favorite one out of all of them is the second one from the left in the thumbnail. Very cute tutorial......thank you! 👍💖
I love the process and the end result. Great inspiration, thank you
These bookmarks are gorgeous! My favorite were the doodle ones 😍 I also love the white you added at the end. I read books still as well 🖤
These are so inspiring! Thank you! My favorite are the doodled ones! What a color difference at the end!
Doodles make them pop even more! Wonderful video, thank you!
I agree! I like the doodles. It adds interest to me
Great instruction... thank you so much! I can’t wait to try. Love both but definitely prefer the doodles added. And your sketch doodle...awesome. Tfs 💕
Thank you so much for sharing. I have to say the non doodled was my first choice but looking at them and the doodled I like both very much. You have inspired me to have a try at it. X:)
I love the undoodled ones thank you so much for inspiring us to just have fun with water color!!!! Beautiful
I love how you explain everything so carefully, in such detail. Really useful for a beginner like me. Thank you so much!
I loved watching your process. I like the doodle ones better...I think. Lol. It’s hard to pick...I really do like both..! I’m going to try this technique. Thanks for sharing your talents...
Beautiful. I used to use this technique with my grade 6 students...we used fine tipped sharpies...they were beautiful when all 30 finished paintings were displayed on the bulletin board. I will have to try it again. Thank you.
“Better late than never”.
I love books & I collect a few bookmarks. Thanks for the video. Watercolor has been a favorite pass time bringing my imagination to light. All your bookmarks were great for different reasons, the doodling spoke to me.🌺🌼🌸📚✍️
I can't have a favorite! They are all my favorite. Thanks so much for your instruction!
Oh my CeeCee...these look fabulous!!! love them both but I am leaning towards the doodle florals...love your loose lines!
Absolutely beautiful, I especially love the doodled ones x
I also like them both, I'm just getting into water coloring so I like the watercolor ones without the doodle but they're both amazing I love to read books every night so I love the bookmarks
Absolutely stunning - I am mesmerized while watching you paint - love the doodling
So lovely tutorial, I will absolutely do this for tomorrow. I thinkI will do cards, and maybe even this bookmarks. this was really a great give away tip. So lots of thanks for that .
So beautiful! I like the doodled ones best. Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed watching you create.
The doodled ones, I so wish I could do this.
They're both beautiful... ! Prefer just flowers, no ink! Thank you for sharing your gift with all of us 😄🌴🌺☃❄
You are amazing! I am painting now! Wow. I can’t stop painting. Cards and bookmarks and a few small prints for now. What fun! Thank you.
I like the doodled ones best. I read books too. I prefer to hold the "real" thing when I'm reading rather than to hold a phone or tablet. So I have many bookmarks. Now I want to make my own. Thank you.
I read real books still! Love them both but non doodle is my favorite! So glad to have found your channel!
I absolutely love your work. You make it look easy enough which inspires me to try it myself. Thanks for sharing your beautiful work.
I love them all, I was afraid of the doodling at first but after you did it, WOW what an amazing touch they added!
