Trevoh Chaloba is better than Axel Disasi and Benoît Badiashile combined. This guy imposes respect on you in duels and is not afraid to make contact. He makes an undeniable contribution both offensively and defensively. I'm really disappointed with this decision for him.

Very positive from Maresca to change the attacking formation/shape from 3-2-5 to 3-4-3 (diamond). It means he can be flexible and has a plan B. I was worried that wouldn't be the case. It was also positive to see Gusto overlaping wide instead of inverting. It's good to have multiple options.
Yes that was very good to see indeed. Also that he tried a lot of tactical setup for many of the players on this pre-season.
He tried James to invert. Absolutely didn't work and tried different solutions. I think in the future we will see James overlapping when Palmer plays.

If we are going to point out what Mudryk does wrong, then let's also point out what is good. 5:20 Mudryk was excellent in this play, deceiving his rivals with his body movement. He was already thinking about making that pass, which speaks volumes about the improvement in his decision making.

Palmer can only play when Gusto or James is fit to overlap. Caceido can help to overlap too but obviously not as effective.

Colwill constantly moving backwards when the attacker is running toward him, giving the attacker options and space. Last season we saw how he was terrible at closing down and kept ball watching but this on another level. We need to see Veiga as the starter, both Colwill and Badiashile are terrible and costing us the games.
Oh and Marc Guiu needs to stay. We need to create chances for him more.

The same sterling that was the 3rd best player in G/A ratio for Chelsea last season. Why the dislike on Sterling. He is one of the few players that tries to beat and defender and create something for the team and people dislike him for not being Mr perfect.

Running in defender pointlessly, losing the balling more times than any player on the pitch, zero(0) shot on target in a game( happens almost every game). Poor decision making, and let's not go there with the one on ones, barely dribble past the defenders in a game.

Sterling is too stingy for a winger. He only wants to pass the ball when there's no way out. Sometimes to someone who may pass back to you and you can score if all you care about is YOU scoring

Madueke seems ready for regular first team action at RW. Consistently beating players and getting in good crosses. Guiu has shown good positioning. Nkuku & Palmer are undisputable gamechangers. Mudryk was so busy & sharp since coming on. Loved his decisions. Fast & clever. Hope he keeps improving his tactical game, positioning and finishing. He got everything else in spades. He's very raw. But if he's confident & in form. He creates havoc for defenses. Didn't see much of Nicolas Jackson in preseason, but I wish he plays a little direct and quick when playing centrally. He can still turn out to be a highly effective striker.

Right now we just need a solid leader center back who can lead the younger ones to their full potential also a deadly striker who can convert our chances as we have been missing a lot of chances due to lack of a good striker so bring in OSIMHEN 🇳🇬....also I think the signing we are trying to pull off,the signing of Joao Felix will be a good left wing, supporting striker,or a CAM also😌 so I think next season we will finish in a good spot in the table even qualify for champions league🙌🏼 also provide a solid challenge to the league and return to our quality....WE WILL COOK!!!
