Even 5 years later...LOVE THIS. Beautiful...
I'm 65 and just stated watercolor and ink painting on yopo. I love it. Now you have opened a new can of worms lol. I don't draw very good but I can sure doodle. Thank you so much for sharing this amazing gift you have. Hugs from NC.
I spray my ink picture with krylon and let it dry, before I doodle! It keeps the ink from coming off and then you can use almost any pen to doodle or write on it! 😊
which krylon product do you use?
@@katebates3423 I know this wasn't a question for me, but I use Krylon Sealer for my watercolors. It also works on alcohol inks. I use it for charcoals and graphite pictures. The stuff is great.
@@kathrynwoodell6928 what about rustoleum crystal clear
I tried krylon workable fixative and it took the color of the alcohol away as did it when I tried clear acrylic sealer by Patricia Nimocks. Mod podge has a matt clear acrylic sealer. So I tried that. Not as speckled as the other two, however my micron pen smeared.
Which Krylon?
When I was a lot younger with better eyesight I did a lot of doodling. In fact back when I had a paying job we would have weekly meetings. That was a big doodle time for me. Never got in trouble as I was able to doodle and participate. Meetings were the bane of our work lives and seldom added any benefits. Love your work on Yuppo. I have tho pads of Yuppo and am going to get some out with my alcohol inks. You really inspire me!
Wow!! First time seeing this kind of art and I love it. That's absolutely amazing and beautiful ❤
The colors are like fairy art or something, the colors are unbelievable.
I found myself smiling for the 1st half of the video, during the ink application. Thank you, I'm still smiling
Yay! my mission is accomplished. thank you so much for this sweet comment, Andree.
"A little bit shy"...that's an understatement LOL! I have everything I need to get started yet they're still sitting there waiting to be uncapped. Thank you for the inspiration...absolutely gorgeous pieces!
OMG!!! My feet are tapping the floor too. I dusted off my little bottles and went to the store to get more! Thank you for inspiring me with something new-ish... love this!
I get such a kick out of hearing your reactions because they express how I feel on the inside when I experience the joy of art. I also loved watching your bold & brave experimentation with the medium. I am working on letting go of my fear of using my "expensive" supplies on methods when I don't know how they will turn out. I need to just play -- exuberantly! You have inspired me!
what a wonderful comment! this makes me so happy... to know that i have inspired someone to let go and embrace the joy of creating without fear. wishing you endless hours of pure creative pleasure!
I absolutely love your videos! Love how excited you get sometimes. Makes me laugh. Learning so much! I'm a total beginner to art. Retired nurse and always wanted to take art classes. Thanks so much!!!
This is just WOW! I've only recently been introduced to your work and I've been sitting here watching you paint and doodle for what seems to be hours. So much better than housework. Keep up the glorious work x
thank you and welcome to my channel. i get what you're saying about housework !!!
You're video has been the best I have every watched. The different techniques finally show me how it's done! Thanks
In Wanderlust Azoline a french artist used alcohol inks. She used Archival inks to stamp. It really is something to practice. You gave me many ideas.
i like the blue and green watercoulour in your outro vid, i also like the contrast between the leaves and black curved lines, reminds me of stained glass windows, really vibrant art creationsceecee!!
I used to reward myself with following a video of yours after a hard day's work, but now I do it as a morning meditation. :) Thanks for being so lovely!
Based on your beautiful Video I ordered alcohol inks and started today with some creations ... I am so thankful that you inspired me ! I love the outcome of my cards....And I start doodleing .....soooooo amazing ! Thanks so much !!!!!
Yay! Have fun!
I found it mesmerizing to watch...meditative almost. Very nice.
You are the funniest ever!!!......I like how you incorporate humor with work professional master pieces........ Your work is so "splashtacular" colorful and beautiful......."oh how I love"
You're the real deal - just loving what you're doing and being generous....
Your creative juices were definitely flowing
Cee Cee,
This tutorial is extraordinary. The flower garden is totally captivating.
Such talent and skill.
So inspirational.
Thank you.
Gorgeous! And I love how excited and happy it makes you! 😍
Memorizing. Stunning work of art.
Those colors are life
Saw this today July 21, 2023. Beautiful. I’m a card maker and just getting into intuitive art. I’ve been reluctant to use alcohol inks ( in my stash). Thought they were messy not only to work with but to look at. You turn the messy inky blobs into beautiful flowers and leaves. Now I want to give it a try. Thanks CeeCee for sharing your gift on you tube!💛
I stumbled upon this video & am so happy that it found me! This method is so much cleaner than the way I once did a similar process with water colors & India Ink pens back in the 1960's! Since this winter will be long & cold, I know what I'm buying to get me through it & keep my creative side happy & away from the idiot box (tv)! Thanks for sharing- Loved watching the process & the testing of the products was really helpful to avoid wasting money on pens that smear!
ahaha, the idiot box is absolutely right! glad to be of help. enjoy the ART time and have a wonderful week!
Love your carefree, no limits, let's see attitude. This is when I am at my happiest doing art. Thanks for all of the techniques.
Yes! like-minded artists. thank you and have a wonderful day!
+creationsceecee ....This art piece is absolutely spectacular!!! I literally felt your excitement and was smiling ear to ear when you were still in the creation mode and dropping alcohol ink onto your Yupo Paper!! ☺ I just adore working with my Adirondack Alcohol Inks....they are SO MUCH fun! I haven't tried doodling on them yet...but you have inspired me with this piece!! Thank you for sharing Catherine!! ☺
so fun! and turned out beautiful
I was never excited about alcohol inks until I saw this video. It amazes me how much color complexity you were able to achieve with just three bottles of ink and rubbing alcohol! You’ve really ignited my imagination, CeeCee. Thank you so much!
That is really neat. Love this stuff. Love that Flower you cut off. It's so pretty.
I am so glad this popped up in my feed. Thank you for keeping it around :D
I love the 3 parts - mount them together in a tryptic. They are gorgeous!
I love your expressions of joy when you create. Makes watching a How to Do video way more fun!
I love the colors and how they blend and move.
Thank you for a great video! I have alcohol inks and yupo paper and have been wanting to try this. You've inspired me :)
First tutorial I have see on alcohol inks and I really enjoyed what you did. Thanks.
That tutorial was awesome..the best I have seen thus far...
This piece turned out so beautiful
You're demo is great! Lots of great tips. The result is absolutely beautiful!
I enjoy your excitement when you see them blending. It's beautiful work and all from just playing. Very cool and nice..
Wow! I just happened upon this after using yup paper in a watercolor class. I LOVE your work!!
How exciting! It's like magic. Never knew about alcohol inks. It's similar to acrylic pouring but totally different..
your work is amazing!! i am a multi media artist, however, have been a bit discouraged using my alcohol inks. the information you share and show has inspired me to try again! this piece you designed is BEAUTIFUL!! thanks so much for sharing your talents.
This is one of the best tutorials I've watched on Alcohol inks and Yupo. It gives me more courage to try some new ideas. Thanks for your gift and for sharing.
I love them all! The middle one with the bubble you said you might fill in is my favorite spot on the picture! Since you first made it, it looked like a bubble and I hoped it would stay as it was! Thank you for such inspiration and encouragement!Beautiful work!
I agree!
I love this technique. It’s like looking for shapes in clouds. You have inspired me. You are a doodler extraordinaire!
Absolutely love your work. Just Beginning the alcohol ink videos. Love the travelers notebook covers!
WOW!!! that is soooo gorgeous!
I have some alcohol inks and yupo paper sitting around for 3 years ... it's time I got them out and have some fun just like you do. :)
I absolutely love this! I’ve seen Vicky Papaioannou touch the sticky parts when it’s not completely dry, with a foil sheet. It looks great to have the foil in all those random spots and really highlights the piece. I really want to try this doodling over the color. Thanks.
I love it, very vibrant colors
I really enjoy working with alcohol ink and like you, I love doodling. I get lost in it, very zen for me. It's how I relax my mind. I've learned so much more from you and am inspired to get going on it again.
yes, we all have our happy place in art, don't we?! have a wonderful weekend!
Hi CeeCee, great great tutorial! I truly enjoyed it and the final result is beautiful! It was so therapeutic to watch you playing with inks and rubbing alcohol, and of course doodling. Thank you so much for this video 😄😄

VERY VERY BEAUTIFUL AND I HAD A GOOD TIME TOO LISTENING TO YOUR JOY OF CREATING AND DISCOVERING,THANKS
I so appreciate seeing you express your joy for your art!
Absolutely love you work and you enthusiastic attitude while you work!
Beautiful hand writing
Absolutely amazing. I've never seen anything like this done with alcohol inks. I make a lot of backgrounds, but have never thought of turning them into pieces like this. So beautiful. Thanks for the inspiration.
I loved your video. I have not tried this. You have made me braver to attempt it!!! Thank you.
I have used alcohol inks for years but you have inspired me with new ideas..thank you so much.
awesome! glad to hear that.
Cece, great video. I love your work! I’m new to alcohol inks but am a Zentangler. I look forward to combining the two.
How fun to learn and watching you create.
Mesmerizing! I am a color lover! Excellent video CeeCee!
Thank you for your delightful videos. You have such a gift for “seeing” things with The painting and bringing them to life with the detail. Can’t wait to try this to technique and experiment with the paints and markers
Love what you do Cee Cee. Can’t wait to give it a try..xx
Gees this alcohol painting would be beautiful framed. You are fabulous at doodling on this style of artwork. I’m going to have to give it a try on larger yupo paper than the small stuff I have. I think you get a better feel for designing (somewhat!) an idea. Fabulous!
Just beautiful... I find it so relaxing watching these videos. And get so inspired thinking I can do it, NOT that easy u really have a eye creating art 🤗. Thank you for inspiring us novices😂
wow! I love it! painting, doodling is my life and you’ve inspired me to add alcohol inks.... great tutorial, kkep up the good work👍
lovely creations Catherine...I made some a few yrs ago & made mothers day cards which my husband sold to all his workmates whose wives & mothers loved
CeeCee - this was fabulous. Very inspiring. It looks like something that will be good not only for my creativity but for my SOUL!!! Thank you for this really informative cllip.
ART is soul-fulfilling for sure. thanks and have a wonderful time creating!
Can't wait to get some alcohol inks!!! I admire your artwork and thank you for sharing. Congrats on your being published.
Beautiful, fascinating, impressive.
I use M. Graham watercolors on yupo and add alcohol. Your tutorial was inspiring.
I’m just starting to doodle on my alcohol ink backgrounds. Thanks for sharing your talents.
I love this video. Thank you for posting. I am an acrylic artist who just found out about alcohol inks. I can't believe I have been missing out! And your video was super helpful to learn techniques. I will be returning to this post a lot. You are so sweet and fun to listen to.
thank you so much, Caitlin. glad you found the video helpful. have fun with the alcohol inks!
Just loved it! Playful and looks great! Congratulations.
I enjoyed watching you play with the alcohol inks. I need to get mine back out. Thanks for inspiring me.
my pleasure. have fun with your inks!
This is lovely therapy! I love to work with ink and details and created the unknown. You are in my heart! Continue doing this. You are great! Thank You!
Isopropyl alcohol has a different effect with alcohol inks compared to when using Blending Solution. Yup on is acrylic based...another RUclips said you can’t tear yup, but I have torn yup so not sure what she was talking about.
Absolutely beautiful creations...thanks for demonstrating your techniques!
Stop excusing yourself.....you are an INCREDIBLE artist!!! These are stunning!!!! Just perfect!!!! I would LOVE to see your art on some notebook covers.....You should send in a copy of these to a notebook company for review!!!! Seriously!!!! Get an agent who only gets paid if you do!!! Or contact the notebook company yourself or have an attorney do so......Anyone....you deserve to have your art on something!!!!!! Just beautiful....So, stop giving yourself and us excuses.....you don’t need any!!!! Be blessed and keep creating the way you wish!!! Break the mold and be unique!!!!
Just when I think that you are finished you add another color beautiful
what you made is beautiful! I love the added drawing/doodling with the black pens. I think I will try this sometime!
Gorgeous. I also love to do this. The results are always so random and pretty. I usually use the Pitt pens and I have also used a white pigma micron. If you leave them to dry thoroughly they don't smudge xx
that's good to know, Lynn. i was afraid i would smudge the lines before the ink had time to dry. that's why i opted for the Microperm. better safe than sorry :-) have a lovely weekend!
What a great triptych!
Oooooooo Thank you so much for the hot tips and the micro perm pen suggestion! Beautiful art work 😍
Loved the video & loved your vibrancy. Thankyou.
I LOVE the vivid colors achieved with alcohol inks and though I have never tried the same technique as You've shown in this video, I can see the process is surely addictive!! THANKS so much for offering such inspiring videos. ~BLESSINGS~
This was so much FUN!! Loved watching you have so much FUN too! Mine always come out looking like a war zone - you gave me some great idea's with the alcohol Ink and brush to get more control. Thanks, CeeCee
So BEAUTIFUL
Love the final product. Great work.
The doodling is really beautiful! I look forwared to trying this techgnique!
Fantastic! Thank you. I have inks and yup just need the medium and I can get started. Thanks for the inspiration.
Thank you so much! The doodling really makes it a beautiful piece!
Brilliant work!
I love your enthusiasm in this piece. I enjoy doodling, when I can't sleep I have a lil book I work in. You make me want to try a couple inks.
oooh, you've given me a wonderful idea. i should keep a little book by my bedside instead of counting sheeps. thanks and have a wonderful weekend!
Wow, just beautiful!
I'm always looking for more freeform alcohol ink painting (as opposed to just lots of circles). I love what you're doing.
Thanks for sharing. It turned out beautiful. I'm so excited to get started with the inks. Looks like so much fun.
I love to watch you work. It's always inspirational! Thanks for sharing.
