It’s been a couple years since you made this video, so you may not see this comment. It was such a joy to see you doing “slow“ artwork. We are entering a scary time with AI and I am just happy to continue the tradition of doing “slow” art. Hope you are continuing to go strong.
I have been in a creative block because of the boundaries put upon us, and rules and limitations have crept into my psyche, making me feel closed inside and out. I have a feeling that this way of painting will not only relax me, but make me look at creating in a whole new freeing light. This is lovely, and the background music is perfect. As a child I use to ask my mom to make a squiggle on a piece of paper and I'd see what I could make out of it. I remember it being so much fun, and challenging. I am so glad you brought forth this memory that I'd forgotten. I may use it again. Mom is 93 now and to make something beautiful out of something she started would be not only a challenge, but putting a piece of her into my art. Thank you so much.
I am your most recent fan. Your work is a discovery for me. It is so fresh and free. I love it. My favorites doodles are your birds. Thank you for sharing.
⭐Wow, I LOVE this painting and all of what you so gently do, invent in colours and share from a place all uniquely your own!!! Beautiful!!! THANK YOU !!!💜
I used to get a lot of satisfaction and that happy place as a child when I discovered the joy of doodling...thanks for reminding me how beautiful it is...can't wait to get back to it...
I watch your videos for the beautiful art, the peaceful inspiration and you. Thank you for working through the hard times and being the light for us as well.
I would not have picked those colours... And I would have been a fool for not choosing them. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT! IT IS BEAUTIFUL 😍. So inspiring; thank you CC!😊
I knew this was an essential video to download. Driving my car yesterday, I played only the audio. Just that was a southing tonic, enough to concentrate on your expression of treating one's self well; being kind, going (literally!) with the flow. Thank you.
I remember as a kid, we would make big scribbles all over the paper and then color all the spaces in! I forgot until you mentioned it! They can be simple (only 5 or 6 spaces) -- or very complicated - scribble all over page over and over! It is GREAT for any age! I suppose that it would work in Black and white too! Great for bored kids!👏👏👏👏👏👏💗💗💗💗💗
I love your shows they are very creative very soothing and you make me want to just draw and and enjoy the art of painting and paint thank you very much for taking the time to share your talents with us we really appreciate it have a wonderful day.
I can see a pelican, a chicken, a fly and a snowwoman feeding her baby. I love this painting and it's wonderfully meditative. Thank you as always, Ceecee
Thank you so much. You're very creative. This is exactly what I needed to see and hear. I will try and be brave with my watercolours and doodling. Thanks
Watching u over and over again. Your design sense is remarkable! I try so hard to “lighten up”….. what a struggle! Thanks for the continued inspiration!😊
I’ve read that anything that you do that is repetitive but requires concentration is a form of meditation. It quiets the mind and reduces anxiety. Doodling, painting, knitting... anything like that! Thank you for continuing with your videos and sharing your thought process, CeeCee! Stay well
👌🤩 Thank you for sharing! Such valuable info for one of an artist's most difficult times. Some ways I have found over the years to pull myself out of a deadlock- • Shut off the TV and any other visual distractions and put on some music. • Paint color swatches of colors you haven't used in awhile. • Take several different shaped brushes and make brush imprints/marks on scratch paper. • Open a magazine or dictionary and paint the first word you see in a monochromatic style. (Forces your mind to open up to new possibilities.) • Paint a color triad chart using three colors you've never combined together before. Hope that is some additional help to anyone stuck in blandville. 😂 Thanks again! ☺️👍
Dear Catherine, I knew there was a reason I was drawn to you and your art, it's not just what you do, it is also your complete honesty. You have saved many lives, not too much pressure, lol. You will always find a way when you are honest. Thank you my dear for sharing. Sherie Rodrigues from Australia. 😘
Cee cee you are sharing your inner thoughts, talents, feelings and creativity. You are so genuine and helpful to so many people. A true artist! Thank you for your honesty.
Aside from your wonderful & creative art expression, I enjoy your soft voice, honesty and that on your channel, you spend most of the time creating & painting. Most other similar sites spend too much talking, either before during or after. You strike the perfect balance and it's much appreciated. Nice music as well! Thank You, Claudia🐝
artists are always sensitive. You are right. When I have negative thoughts attacking, I tell myself-it is normal reaction because this pandemic is very different, I am not the only one. Even now, it is still challenging for me to open the door and go out. You are very talented, your arts always comforts me. Thank you. And please just keep going. Love your attitude and arts.
thank you so much for your kind words, angel. and i understand about opening the door.... it is quite scary for me too. but we will see this through. wishing you a peaceful and creative week.
Is this considered abstract art? What other titles would you give to it it? I’ve been attracted to doodles since I was very young. Before we had iPads or iPhones, I would doodle when under extreme stress, which helped me greatly. My shapes were more sharp than curvy, which I believe indicated my level of stress. I only used one black or blue ink pen. I am looking forward to doodling again and adding more shapes, textures and colors - and mediums, of course. Thank you for sharing your art. Blessings!
You are communicating with heart relevance! You have helped me A lot with depression, getting inspired and not feeling so alone. Much of what you say is meaningful, memorable and very wise. I love your statement "... Who am I to argue with gold." That is packed with meaning on many levels!💜 Thank you for all this!!! Namaste🙏
Wish you would do a video explalining the watercolor sets you enjoy the most. Some watercolor sets can be pretty expensive. Love the Payne's grey! Thanks!
I don't usually comment publicly and lord knows there are great comments here I just want you to know Imma grateful for your lesson today. I'm beginning and not loving my work so am fearful and thus unproductive when I know in my heart of hearts this is what I want to do. Self sabotage? Looking forward to implementing these tips in these crazy times and hopefully can come up with something I like. Thank you again and stay safe always
Susan, I appreciate your comment. Just know that we all have been there -- the self sabotage, the inner criticism, the "re-do" as i call it. i still do it from time to time. but now when it happens, i have put the tools in place to get me out of that mindset. those 5 questions are truly pinned to my board by my desk as a reminder to help out when things happen. trust me when i say this: you are not alone with these thoughts. the trick is to keep going because that is the only way to see progress and create in flow. please be tolerant and nice to yourself and have a wonderful week!
A big thank you, Cee-Cee, from Scotland, where summer is over and winter with its long, dark days are on the horizon. Your video-ed demonstrations and gentle words and manner help one who lives alone to manage and cope with the long 'ground hog' days of isolation and lack of physical contact. In April, hidden away by Covid restrictions, I made the decision to cast inhibitions aside and to start trying to paint. I'm so glad that I did. I have found the mindfulness of your kind of "doodling art" so absorbing and recuperative, particularly when I'm rudderless and feel all at sea. It really helps. And I've discovered that I LOVE golds! ☺️ Be gentle with you. Keep painting. Keep safe. With love. 😘
I was so inspired by your video I did my first doodle last night and my son loves it I’ve given it to him as it’s his 30th birthday today - he saw a seahorse!
Freedom tress free great in doling. I enjoyed watching your lovely doodle. It reminds me the way I let go in my own doodling. Love the gold. Nice touch. I need get out my own and paper and just start my own dooling. Thank you.
Like that you talk and teach, nice having a window into your thought process with up and down daily struggles to make art. I'm new to this art form but fast falling in love with it. Thanks for helping me move forward with art and similar life struggles. In a nut shell +++++++ U rock
I watched this when you first posted and am watching again as I needed to change my mood and thought process!!! It is inspirational all over again!! Thank you!!!
I recently started painting with old eyeshadows & no longer need. They make great colors to work with sponges or sponge brushes. Not to mention the little tin holders can be used over again.
I just came across your site and I need this at the right time to encourage my creative side to come alive once again since my husbands death five years ago and at 78 yrs of age my sight needs redirection . You are fun and creative I enjoy your personality .
Jan, i am so sorry for your loss and send a big hug of comfort. so many people are choosing art as a form of redirection (love that word!) and i hope it will provide many joyful moments. wishing you a beautiful and creative week!
Your doodling caught my interest I have always love to doodle and I look for an object or more and paint them or pencil them in. Thank you for your reply.
Wanted to say 2020 wasn't my worst year the world basically has experienced what I have and so many who have been sick most of their lives. That being said in the times I rediscovered myself love for art again and a job working from home that year. Basically, working on healing. Your channel I discovered recently I absolutely love your style, genuine nature and personality. I appreciate your insights greatly. So, thank you.♡
Trying to break my slump. 2 days in a row for the first time in a long time! Not much but it's a start. These ideas were super helpful and your art is always delightful to watch unfold!
Just found you! Been searching for me once again. I’m a watercolorist and love to get caught up in my own lines and colors. BUT had a knee injury. Couldn’t get to my studio. Watching you create in a small area motivated me. Thanks for letting me watch you create.
Thank you for this- I have been in a terrible slump and appreciate this as an inspiration to get my creative juices flowing again. Stay well and God bless you CeeCee
Thank you so much for inspiring me. I have been blocked since March and today I was able to create a piece following your technique. I wish I could send you a picture. Thanks so much.
So much good advice within your videos. Your channel has become my goto place when I am feeling stressed and overwhelmed. It's like therapy just watching you create your beautiful pictures. Thank you so much.
Love this Ceecee, very beautiful and peaceful. You art work are living stories. You soothe the watchers while you work. Thank you for being beautiful you!
I bought my watercolor kit a while ago and had no idea how to use it. I discovered you tonight...so happy! Now the fear has gone away and I can tell you tomorrow will be colorfull! Thank you so much for sharing your tips with us, now I must get gold 😂 🤗
Ceecee, You have talked about gold so much and I finally found some while visiting Memphis. I want to tell you what I tried, I did a wet on wet wash of gold all over my paper before painting abstract art. It turned out just beautiful! Thank you for sharing your style, I love it!
I have been watching your videos every now and then, between all the other different types of art mediums videos, and I always seem to come back to yours. I have my own channel, have been working with everything from acrylic pouring to watercolor to resin and woodworking, etc. but am so frustrated with myself and my artistic progress... I think things to death, overcomplicate things, try to work with too many mediums at once... my mind never wants to give me a break! I just tried encaustic this past week, after years of wanting to ty it, and was actually sorely disappointed, which disappointed me terribly. I think I am going to now, inspired by your lovely videos and tutorials, work in just one medium for a while, if I can manage to, and try to become better at being less complicated. Thank you for your lovely videos and words.
Thank you! The piece is beautiful, the video is peaceful and relaxing and your words are blessed with wisdom we should always remind. Sometimes we should only go back o basics and enjoy. Keep safe! 🙏
I LOVE painting with you and FINALLY put in my order for the Kremer Gold, Bronze and Siver Watercolors. I can't wait until they get here!!! Thank you so much for continuing to post to RUclips and sharing your talents, your calming way of approaching "painter's block" and sharing your resources with all of us. Going through chemo/radiation 5 days a week can be super stressful and downright scary. You have such a way of speaking to my heart and my muse, that each day I can't wait to come home and paint with you, whether it be an old favorite posting or something fresh and new. You are one of my healing angels!! Thank you CeeCee!!!! Have a wonderful week!!
How kind of you to reply with such encouragement and compassion. Thank you! I've got the 5 tips now and will keep moving forward. Gee the times we are living today can really mess with your whole being. I wish good things and better days on all of us.
Thank you for sharing in words what I've been feeling for months. Living in the burbs of Atlanta, it seems there hasn't been a day of Peace in so long that the idea of sitting down and "creating" something seems as alien to me as the actions of so many of the misguided. Your voice and your work offer such a calming respite from all the chaos. Thank You again for forging ahead! I wish you much Peace!
thank you, David. yes, these are incredibly turbulent times and we need to hold on to the hope that it will bring positive changes for the good of all. our earth needs more understanding and caring and i take wha's happening as a much needed wake-up call on many fronts. we also need to take good care of our creative mind. so if this video resonated with another creative mind, then my day just got brighter. sending good comforting vibes!
Watching and listening was an extremely relaxing experience. But equally a learning experience as well. I am inspired to get out my watercolors. And trust what ever I create will be beautiful to me if no one else. I love your creativity expressions..Lovely..
Many thanks for this video. I do put pressure on myself to create something that I think people will like and understand, (and buy). But I can really get with your abstract doodles, they are so freeing. So that's what I did today and I'm really pleased with the way they turned out. I'll put them onto greetings cards and see if I can convince someone to buy them at a craft fair, if we ever get to doing such things again.
Gracias por compartir este maravilloso tutorial Me inicié hace poco en la acuarela y he hallado en ella un lugar par mi tranquilidad y mi paz. De nuevo, gracias y espero puedas seguir compartiendo tu arte y tu espíritu creativo
I have watched several of your videos. Then I subscribed. Now I have to comment: I do love your videos, I have learnt a lot with them. And you, dear, are an awesome artist; you make look very easy and simple what it is not. Thank you for sharing your art and your knowledge. God bless you abundantly! Much love from Spain 💙🇪🇸
Thank you for your videos. Love your paintings and love to listen to you. I am a beginner. Not even a month in this new journey and loving every single step....thanks to you!
J'adore! Your style has brought me back to my childhood and my constant doodling! OMG I am almost in tears, its like you have given me permission to continue doodling and see what comes of it...and its ok that I LOVE just blotches of colour...like LOVE....ok now I am in tears...you've opened up something in my soul...merci xo
As a beginner I’m always faced with the decision of what to paint. I don’t feel up to a landscape and making realistic people, animals, or even flowers don’t seem in reach. Your picture in this video gives a wonderful example of how I can try out color combinations and techniques without having to paint something “real” yet still be engaged in the creative process and end up with something I think is pleasing (or something I don’t like and can just chuck). Thanks so much for all your videos and support.
I am learning so much from you. I understand now how important it is just to enjoy the paints; the colours, the shapes and the way they bleed into each other. You are so creative and I think you are helping me to find my creative self.
Thank you for your vulnerability with this video. I struggle with creative flow as well when I get overwhelmed. This was such a beautiful video for me to ponder!
I don't like that you have had to struggle but you came back with a bang. I wrote down your questions to ask my self and know that just getting started is one of the biggest things that helps me. I love to draw and do zentangle and find it so relaxing that I get lost in it and forget the time. Same way with most crafts. Take care and thank you for the prompts. Stay well and the best to you always. Hugs. I love this piece of art you have created !!
Thanks for your beautiful art and heart. I love to hear you verbalize your heart . You have a familiar voice and I feel like I know you even though I don't . Must be the french in us. !!!
It’s been a couple years since you made this video, so you may not see this comment. It was such a joy to see you doing “slow“ artwork. We are entering a scary time with AI and I am just happy to continue the tradition of doing “slow” art. Hope you are continuing to go strong.
This is exactly, what I thought
0😊0😊😊⅓😊
I don’t know what I love more from this video honestly your voice, your thoughts, the painting or the music 🎶. Everything here is just beautiful 😍
That's exactly my thoughts
I could watch you paint all day
I feel so at peace after watching your video. Your art is very soothing. Thank you
I have been in a creative block because of the boundaries put upon us, and rules and limitations have crept into my psyche, making me feel closed inside and out.
I forgot the world for a little while and began to relax in this beautiful process you are sharing. Thank you!
This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever watched. Thank you.
I'm still fairly new to watercolor and thought I wanted to be a purist. You have changed my mind. Thank you for sharing and your inspiration.
Exactly!
That's a lovely piece of art. I enjoyed watching you create. Very relaxing. Thank you.
I am your most recent fan. Your work is a discovery for me. It is so fresh and free. I love it. My favorites doodles are your birds. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much for the inspirational videos! The way you start your painting is a good way to unblock yourself...fantastic!
⭐Wow, I LOVE this painting and all of what you so gently do, invent in colours and share from a place all uniquely your own!!! Beautiful!!! THANK YOU !!!💜

Brilliant, Beautiful, Peaceful, Calming....❤
Thank you as always, Ceecee
... and now a tearful hippopotamus ... perhaps my herbal tea has been spiked!

Welcome to the 4d 5d 6d 7d new earth dimension. If u keep on going then you will surely experience the next level of consciousness. So well Done
I agree!!!
Beautiful video; process well presented and final product is stunning!🎨❤️
👌🤩 Thank you for sharing! Such valuable info for one of an artist's most difficult times.
Some ways I have found over the years to pull myself out of a deadlock-
• Shut off the TV and any other visual distractions and put on some music.
• Paint color swatches of colors you haven't used in awhile.
• Take several different shaped brushes and make brush imprints/marks on scratch paper.
• Open a magazine or dictionary and paint the first word you see in a monochromatic style. (Forces your mind to open up to new possibilities.)
• Paint a color triad chart using three colors you've never combined together before.
Hope that is some additional help to anyone stuck in blandville. 😂 Thanks again! ☺️👍

This is a lovely work of art as well as a great plan for removing the block that sometimes restricts us. Many thanks!
This is beautiful! Very relaxing video. Thank you.
Lovely work effective and free! You rock!!🌟
Always enjoy your art! Thanks for sharing.
Gracias por compartir este maravilloso tutorial
Me inicié hace poco en la acuarela y he hallado en ella un lugar par mi tranquilidad y mi paz.
You can really create something stunning out of nothing at all...I was mesmerized. TFS
I just cannot express how much I LOVE this. So much to praise but my biggest love is the colors you chose for the initial application. Well done!
Thank you! This was so calming and your process was amazing to watch. It’s helped me a lot.
Inspirational video. Great tips to get started. Many thanks, Cee Cee.
Happy creative week to you.
