Hi!. I discover your page today!. What a amazing artist you are! ❤ 🎉🎉🎉 i follow the link in skillshare, bue i cant find you, why? Do you have some course in skillshare? ... anyways i will follow you in patreon. 😊
@@andromeda1980 Awww, no I personally don't have a course on Skillshare, I have tutorials on my own patreon page and hold live online courses 2-3 times per year! :)
"Don't ruin it!" is so real. I always hate that stage in my own paintings but invariably whatever happens at that point, even if it feels out of place when it happens, just makes the piece stronger.
Whether it's the texture of the skin, the texture of the clothing, or the decorative elements of the background, they all demonstrate astonishing delicacy and patience. This is not just a painting, but also an ultimate pursuit and expression of beauty.
It's honestly so refreshing to hear you talking about how much you love your work during the process and a good reminder for me to be gentler on myself. I've turned my creative outlet into an outlet to judge myself as deeply as possible but I'm turning it around! Thank you for sharing your process and including your breaks! 😊
Look like I’m not the only going “hey I don’t have much time” and ending spending the whole week on a single painting going over every detail again and again
As a perfectionist, I've tried to embrace watercolor, because it forces me to give up control. You have to be ok with the imperfections, you can't hide anything with watercolor. It can smell your fear.
Vers interesting to see you work on this painting! I paint mostly with Aquarelle as well (but only animal portraits) but never thought about using colored pencils for details (only used a extremely thin brush for this). I definitely will try this out!
Well done... and I'm glad you are selling your art for yourself... not letting a broker or middleman take away your profits... you deserve the full amount for your efforts...
I aspire to paint with that level of skill. Your tones are the perfect balance of subtle and bold, the contrast is striking and your precision with a brush is the envy of surgeons! Brava!
Wow, this video is incredible! 🌟 Your process of bringing Greek mythology to life through watercolor is truly mesmerizing. The way you capture the ethereal quality of the myths with those colors is just stunning. Can't wait to see more of your masterpieces!
You are as beautiful as ever but you look so much happier after you rest. Love your paintings. If you ever tour in Portland Oregon please let me know. It would be great to meet you. Good luck and take care of yourself.❤❤❤❤❤
Spectacular!!!! You have masterfully taken care of every detail here and the use of colors is incredible. What is the golden paint you add at the end? Beautiful job.... you are gifted!
Incredible skills and gorgeous painting. I love how you mix different techniques! I feel inspired to go and create something now. However, I would never think that she is a Greek goddess, if it weren’t for the title and your explanations. She looks more Nordic??? Her features are very far from Greek beauty standards, I feel. What are your thoughts about that? Should we, as artists, try to depict beauty according to standards of cultures that we illustrate, or should we ignore it completely and just draw what we want? This is a very interesting topic for me and I’m curious about your point of view. Again, thank you for this peaceful video! (English not my first language, sorry for any mistakes)
Actually half way through I had the same thought and wanted to make her a Nordic goddess instead 🙃🙈 but I loved the name Selene so much so I went with this, ultimately as an artist you can do what you want and not every artwork needs to be perfect in every way. ☺️
Hello! This is my first time seeing your art and I absolutely love it! I'm learning how to do watercolor at the moment and I've been wanting to do this sort of style for my paintings because I really like the soft lighting and bright colors and stuff, so I'm really happy I found your channel. I'm hoping watching you might help give me some inspiration and make me a bit less timid about using saturated colors.
Very beautiful! Makes me want to go back to practicing with water colors, I ended up stopping because the paper kept peeling, maybe I just need to let it dry for a bit?
wow. you are so incredibly talented. I LOVE your lil doggie. there are also blackberries. around me in England. easy foraging lol. thank you for sharing your spectacular gift and a snippet of your realm. 💙💙💙
My compliments to you Sir? Brilliant work! These are truly lithography ready! Thank you for sharing! I can only hope to master as you have done! Many thanks!😊
@@LiobaBrueckner So sorry for the delay in replying - the print is amazing and is now hanging up in my bedroom. Thank you for the lovely sticker as well!
The face is masterfully done! Maybe you could improve the background where a lot of cauliflowers happened due to excess water. Respect for the beautiful design.
Hallo Lioba, Wow, sehr gut gemalt! Welches Papier. bzw. Material benützt du denn? Danke für die Antwort!
I'm going into college for the first time to start my first art n design course, I haven't done a lot of art but this is big help to me! I've always struggled with drawing bodies and faces, I sometimes get overwhelmed with which tutorials to follow. Do you perhaps have any recommendations? :)
@@DavidEdwards-e6m when did I ever say I had no previous interest? I said “I haven’t done a lot” doesn’t mean I haven’t done any at all.. I’ve always loved art but life gets busy so I didn’t have time. I did art for many years when I was younger but studies can build up. I believe anyone who feels like they love something whether they have a natural flair or not should try it if they’ve felt passionate about it.
@@DavidEdwards-e6mNever once did that person say in their comment that they didn’t have any interest nor did they say they didn’t have any natural flair. Very odd of you to jump to conclusions like that and also what an incredibly rude and mean comment to make. Painting in watercolour can be like trying to tame a wild stallion! Yes, I too like to use colour pencils for those tighter sections. Fabulous video!

A lot of trial and error with watercolor, to say the least.
I really love the way you layer and allow the colors to blend and move in the background
Thank you so much!!!!
Every artist puts a little of their image in their pieces. This one looks so much like you Lioba, very beautiful.
