I love how honest you are Lioba, that you share your mistakes and how you correct them and how you get excited to finish a painting but have to force yourself to slow down. This is so relatable and also reassuring to know that someone as seasoned as you struggles with these things also! Thanks for another great video, I also love the history lessons you include, always fascinating. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Lioba, beautiful painting as always! One thing I learned from your videos is to not give up when something went "wrong" and instead keep going forward. We can always improve our artworks, especially once we allow ourselves to try and combine different mediums. Thanks for the great content!
I rarely get the chance anymore, but I love going to museums as well! Thanks for giving us a little glimpse into the maritime museum. It looks so interesting! Also, I'm always impressed when an artist makes their references available for commercial use. It's so frustrating to purchase a pattern, for instance, only to find it has legal limitations. Sharing information is such a valuable way to help inspire artists, both old and new!
Awesome...👍👍 Mam ,please make video on watercolor A to Z tutorial playlist Also which is better than beginners who shifting from pencils to brush paint? Watercolor, watercolor pencils vs poster colour vs brush pens. Which will be better for realistic drawing also? 1) How much sketching skills required for painting? Do we need to outline with pencil 1st? Because I've seen some artist directly draw or paint outline with brush, not with pencil and they trace their pencil outline. It's necessary to trace pencil outline why directly draw outline on watercolor paper? 2) Should I stick with the pencil drawing 1st? Watercolor painting attracts me because realistic look. What is the right time to shift from pencil drawing to brush 🖌️ painting? So please make video on my questions 🙏🏻
Strangely, I find comfort on a fact that I'm not the only one whose painting process is so, for a lack of a better word, chaotic. Seriously, this clip really entertaining and relatable!❤ Also, you're very talented and consistent!
@@LiobaBruecknerno seriously, I think it's very valuable to see that even pro artists may sometimes have a messy work process. All you see on youtube is perfect strokes and absolute control over paint even though we all know watercolor it's not all daisies and sunshine! In this video we can all learn how to deal with the problem we all have. I mean 'I forgot about this part I should have left white" or 'goddamit! I moved my brush one more time and it ruined the shading". We have all been there and it's important to know how to deal with it. Exellent job!
This looks amazing, Lioba. Well done with those luminance pencils. Your explanations are empowering as I’m still apprehensive of painting with watercolors. Prost!
@@Starlitskateboards yes they do fade when you put them in direct sunlight, most collectors put my art behind UV glass though so it is protected as best as possible 🩷

How do you do that line effect from your AI photos? You turn them into linework. Is that just a simple effect added in Photoshop, or?
Yes, it is a photoshop filter!
Would you be willing to list all the materials you use in the video in the description box?
Oh my gosh that is a long list! I have an in-depth material guide on my patreon, if that's something you'd be interested in!
So I herd that alcohol markers fade, is that true? I never used them and didn’t want to spend that kind of money on something that’ll fade
