Hi Steve, I’ve been using S&T for about ten months now after watching Jeff Franks and Tom Saguto (RUclips). I like it and feel it’s much more repeatable. It was great watching you go through the five moves.
I loved you instruction and followed it step by step.....I was amazed how easy it was to convert over to this technique. I have always been able to play golf with my hdcp from 14 back many year's ago to my current 3. The difference in this swing is that it is repeatable and I personally have gained 10 yards with my irons and 25 with my driver. I am averaging 13 greens in regulation......I have two rounds in the 60's this year and several at par.........Oh......I play from the senior tees now.........just turned 70 this week and enjoying golf more than ever....thanks
Steve l went to the range & tried the stack & tilt after seeing your videos & it works really great ..10 balls on each part at the end l was striking beautiful accurate golf shots with all mid irons off grass ..was awesome..thanks so much!!
Watched these three videos yesterday after playing awful at Bamburgh Castle golf club. Hit twenty shots before my round today at Seascale using this method. Played great. Hope it continues. Love how simple you make your teaching Steve.
About 5 years ago I went on a days Clinic with Messrs Bennett and Plummer in Bedfordshire. This system certainly improved my ball striking but as I was awaiting 2 knee replacements it wasn't the best time to try it out. It was a great day and the demo they gave of how to hit, control and deliver the club was simply fantastic. Although there are not many Tour Pros using true S&T there are many, and I mean MANY, that were ringing them up and asking for advice over the phone from them. Some names of these well known Pros were quite surprising. Having seen this video, I think it's now time to re-visit S&T as my knees have been done.
Steve you are a really likeable Scotsman, I can even understand you when you talk. The concept of this swing has changed my game for the better thanks to you. I’m 75 years old and love your personality.. Thanks again Dave. Perth Australia.
I've seen other stack and tilt vids but from the "experts" in the field. Nice to see you discovering it and, in the process, making it very clear what those components are supposed to do. Enough practice. Looks like a good day for a little ski.
Hi Steve, I’ve been working on stack and tilt for a few months now and it has transformed my game. I am much more consistent and feel confident when I’m over the ball. I feel like I can really commit to the shot! I did have a bit of a hiccup on one round, I started shanking the ball, but after the round I found that I’d gotten a little bit upright, to close to the ball, and wasn’t rotating fully. The good news was that I was able to correct it quite quickly and get back on course. I think the simplicity enables you to sort things out quickly. I’m still struggling with my driver but I think I know why so I’m going to work on that. I subscribed to your channel a while ago and I really like your direct and honest approach. A pleasure to watch! I hope you don’t mind me mentioning Tom Saguto, who first attracted me to stack and tilt. He’s very entertaining!
Hello Steve, You did a very fine job explaining stack and tilt Steve. When I get out to the range, I’m certainly going to practice the Stack and tilt golf swing. Thanks for taking the time to explain and demonstrate the stack and tilt golf swing. Peter
Many thanks for putting these videos up Steve.I like your jovial style and easy way of explaining the stack and tilt method.Used it today and shot a 77(12 hcp).Ball striking much improved and my driving was straight and true with far greater distance. If you ever give up being a teaching pro you could always make a living as a Ben Stokes lookalike.
Hi Steve , enjoyed the series . I’ve been playing for a long time now and found s/t is the only swing that is repeatable on the course . I used to be forever trying to find backswing positions and then struggle to get through the shot . Now I trust it and enjoy the results . Happy new year .:)
I know this was a few years ago but I have been working on the stack and tilt for a little while now, and I like the way I hit the ball, have been hitting a little thin, still working my way through.
I was just taught this swing in one single session in Spain, and my chicken wing is gone after years of struggling! However, back in Norway one of the pros at my club said he wrote his masters on how this swing causes left knee injury. Any comments? It seems like many pros are negative to the swing. I love it!
steve, i have been fooling around with stack and tilt for a few years and you helped me along with it a bit more. i have noticed that my finish with the irons has been very much like a zach johnson. i like how you broke the method down into 5 ez steps. i'll be looking for more of your videos. thnx, steve perry
Have been working on the Stack and Tilt Swing for about two months with three other instructors that teach this, loved your three videos on the five parts watching you hit balls, I picked up a lot from you going through the motions. You should teach this method very good at it. Loved the snow, very hot here in Nevada.
Superb Steve. By far the best demonstration of stack and tilt that I have seen. Plus, all of the videos of yours that I have watched have been a great help. I love the content and your natural presentation style. Thank you. Paul 😊👍
Love this series Steve, i've started to move to a simpler swing, my handicap hasn't moved for a year now and i was really stuck in a rut with it, my ball striking is now so much better and consistent.
Hi Steve (bugger lugs). Liked the series. Couple of thoughts on why it’s so powerful 1. Weight left keeps you central. 2. IMPORTANT THIS ONE, the muscles of the core (obliques) are at an angle coming down from the rib cage towards the centre 6 pack. So, the low left shoulder would stretch them upwards in the backswing creating torsion/tension. This torsion is also amplified by moving the hands in. The hands in move seems to work like a lever stretching the muscles even further. It creates a great coil as this is the direction the obliques are designed to move to create tension rather than in a rotary fashion. I don’t really like the bum under bit either. Can cause a sore back due to the hypertension, especially when you first try it. Keep the good stuff coming.
Great stuff! I like your videos. I personally like the idea of an inside takeaway and straight arms after impact. Top position and please keep up the creative style of teaching Golf. Cheers from Hamburg
I loved the simplicity and directness of your videos. i'm working on my stack & tilt swing and love the results so far on the range. next week, Ill take it to the course and will let you know how that goes. So far, my drives are longer and straighter and my iron shots, higher, longer and more consistent. Follow-thru and the butt-tuck are not grooved yet. I would add that a bowed left wrist (and cupped right wrist) at impact will produce a better shot, improved ball compression, and i think might be a topic for future videos.
Watched all three of these and really enjoyed them. Along with Nick Taylor’s videos I brought these elements into my swing. Really like how this has turned out. Keep up the good work.
I’m learning to cover the golf ball. The sternum travels from slightly behind the ball at set up to slightly forward or even at impact. It’s not the most exciting but my coach introduced me to it. Maybe you could do a trouble shooting session with covering the golf ball? (Don’t forget to shift pressure from back to front)
Thank you Steve! You made me excited about getting out from this COVID-19 thing and hitting the practice range to try S&T. Look forward to seeing you hit the driver while S&Ting.
So I tried this yesterday on the course - lessons 1&2. A bit all over the place with the odd great shot. Enough to keep it going. Will try today applying 3 to 5 also if the weather is ok. My left knee sure felt it but strangely took the pressure off my back a bit. Needless to say at 71 the back is a bit of a problem. Thanks Steve really enjoyed the presentation.
Great as always and more videos on this would be good. However, I also agree with another poster who asks that you include some shot data like spin and distance so that we can make comparisons.
Done this before and hit irons really well. Have you tried same moves with the driver or fairways. Had a go on the range today and felt really good 👍so thinking about changing again. Keep up the excellent videos
I have a problem finishing on my forward(left) leg unless I open up my stance. Difficult to swing an outside path (eureka) comfotably. Tried a closed stance which puts most of my weight on lead leg as in stack and tilt. For golfers who have tight left hip, it would be interesting if you explored each one in a single video because I am not alone. Thanks Steve for your style and analysis.
Hey Steve, I really like this way to hit the ball , I'm still in the early stages....what about you , are you going to adopt it in your golf game? Good info Steve !
Steve, I've been playing using your prior Eureka moment and having excellent success. It has been very effective at helping me hit fairways !! Maybe I can adapt some S&T into your old Eureka. :)
Tryed this today. Just fantastisk. 20 ball with my iron 7 all up to the flag. I will try and practice this and see what comes out of it. Mycket friend hcp 3 did hit it 190 m carry with his iron 7 on his fist session. Wow. 👍👍👍
I feel this is what I need in my golf swing just now. For the last 6 months I’ve been working with a pro on not pulling the club down from the top of the backswing and trying to finish low and left through impact getting that nice compressed feeling (I have a bad habit of standing up through impact) My only issue these days is when I take my swing to the golf course I feel completely out of sync with my feels. I feel that by incorporating a lot of the weight forward moves I could find some consistency. In your opinion Steve do you reckon you could fit 1 or 2 of the S&T moves into an already progressing golf swing?
Fascinating, wonder if you can extract parts or is the whole thing or nothing? Who is playing S&T on the tour right now. Good stuff steve , like your presentation style
Ok, 2 questions. 1. What was your ball flight and distance like compared to your normal swing? 2. Do you think this swing has the potential to provide more consistent ball striking? Oh and one more thing, did you have to adjust ball position? Thanks 👍
I had a go at this yesterday on the course (practice range not open - Covid). Hit my irons great on the whole but struggled with driver off tee. But did get it right twice & wow ! Any tips for driver?
Be careful, I could not unlearn this swing after getting the book and DVDs into me when they first published. Its great for long irons but I am still searching for my 3 wood setup. They say it is an easy 3 iron swing but I think my hands are too high, they need to swing around the belt. I had more success cupping the left wrist rather than bowing. The cupped wrist smokes the ball for some reason. I would love to use your Ben Hogan right fingers pinch grip (passive thumb and index) on my SAT swing.
This has been brilliant Steve, many thanks! I gave it a go today, no practice at all and straight on the tee first game of golf in 2 weeks and 2nd game in 3 months. Felt much easier than i expected (apart for the butt under bit...). As a taller player, i have always had a tendency to have a steep swing and have spent years trying to fight this but end up swaying like a buoy in the Forth. The shoulder down but hands back has clicked for me. Ive been using it for all shots but am most impressed with putting - i'm keeping the puter head on a straighter line and im hitting the sweetspot of the putter 90% of the time. Am i correct in thinking this can be used for all shots - drives, chips, full irons etc? Many thanks for this Steve, appreciated!
I think this swing technique works for me with irons but how does it work with driver and fairway wood? Any changes in thinking with driver and fairway wood?
Skipping the finish of two arms straight as well. I just learned how to spiral my hands on the downswing and I am not going to give that up for anybody. Enjoyed our session together. ( I feel you are talking to me personally) I will keep part one and two in my swing but I absolutely love putting the Fibonacci spiral in my golf swing and keeping my arms out at finish is not compatible to that. Have you seen Cooper Osborn's videos? Would love to see and hear your take on that one. Cheers😀👍❤️🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩💫👌🤗⚡️
Add a Matt Wolfe backswing to stack n tilt it allows you to gain insane power make sure you follow through complete with hips and it's very easy to do. With being in the tilt position creating the backswing is easy the club takes the same angle as your spine then stay still when you feel the club drop into the V plane just swing you'll have accurate shots one after another.
ouch - protect your spine - tucking the pelvis is not a good idea while turning - that is why the tour players that tried it had to give it up - there are much better procedures where the weight is left anchored

Thanks for the series and all your videos. I have been studying S&T for a year+ and taking weekly lessons from a certified S&T instructor in the US.
Fantastic
I'm learning this right now but it definitely helps watching you go through this with me. Plus, I just really like your attitude.
Thanks

Club Pro's are negative because it puts them out of a job.
I have no idea why parts 4 and 5 are necessary but it looks beautiful when you and Mike do it and comical and painful when I try it.
steve, i have been fooling around with stack and tilt for a few years and you helped me along with it a bit more. i have noticed that my finish with the irons has been very much like a zach johnson. i like how you broke the method down into 5 ez steps. i'll be looking for more of your videos. thnx, steve perry

Do more videos of this - maybe some slow motion of you swinging out on the Course as well !
Great stuff thanks !
Great job. Really impressive, will certainly take this to the driving range
THANKS! Stay with it please. Im learning this technique now ( 4/21/21) and your video helps greatly. 😀
Great series Steve. Going to give this a try this weekend. Now go and find those balls in the snow. 👍🏻
This is good The videos are great and you explain and demonstrate very well. Thank you
Glad you like them! Cheers Patrick
Good demo and yes the butt under is more of a slide and the arms straight to a full finish check out the picture at the front of the book

Entertaining and very helpful. Well done.
Great explanation of the stack and tilt . How do I make sure my left shoulder is past chin?
Steve, I enjoyed the videos. Yes, do more on stack and tilt. I'll be on the range tomorrow to give this a try.
Would like to see you talk more on the difference between Stack&Tilt vs. Eureka..
Great series sir, thank you and would really like to see more on s&t.
Thank you Steve! You made me excited about getting out from this COVID-19 thing and hitting the practice range to try S&T. Look forward to seeing you hit the driver while S&Ting.
Hitting balls into the snow, I love it! No much roll though.
Love to see how it works with the driver
thanks Steve
I’m going to try this as I hit my irons heavy but my driving is good , thanks
So I tried this yesterday on the course - lessons 1&2. A bit all over the place with the odd great shot. Enough to keep it going. Will try today applying 3 to 5 also if the weather is ok. My left knee sure felt it but strangely took the pressure off my back a bit. Needless to say at 71 the back is a bit of a problem. Thanks Steve really enjoyed the presentation.
Can you do a video stack and tilt with driver and 3 wood please sir?

Like it Stevo!
Cheers Bobo 👍
Great explanation. Cheers 👍🏻
Very much enjoyed this series. What is the feel to keep the weight forward (on the left leg)?
Put a tee in your mouth and keep it pointing towards the golf ball. No joke, that works 👍👍
Steve, I've been playing using your prior Eureka moment and having excellent success. It has been very effective at helping me hit fairways !! Maybe I can adapt some S&T into your old Eureka. :)
Nice intro into S&T, good videos!
Tryed this today.

Sergio seems to have a lot of S&T going on from what I can see
Liked it very interesting, do you think this would lead to more consistent golf for the amateur? More tests please
Great. What's the advice 're ball position ? Does this also work for driver and woods?

Hi Steve. Any chance you can do a video on the lateral hip slide for stack and tilt please? Allen

Keep it up Steve great lessons
How did you like it compared to your usual swing?
How would the Stack and Tilt compare to Eureka? Meaning what would be the main differences?
Are you still teaching stack and tilt in your videos?
Obviously I came to see this after Eureka - but - it is pretty much Eureka!
Steve. Are you still using this? Or eureka.
Did you say right foot out?
what's it like when hitting longer clubs, right up to driver
I watched your videos. On your practice swing, your arms are under your shoulders and on the real swing above the shoulders.
I am so getting thrown off the range for bad language when I try this!
Like the way you did it yourself and was not perfect. Like the rest of us.
ouch - protect your spine - tucking the pelvis is not a good idea while turning - that is why the tour players that tried it had to give it up - there are much better procedures where the weight is left anchored
