Great video and thanks for making this. It is uncanny how similar this swing is to another teacher who loves KFC crispy and mash potatoes. This system has made my game so much more fun so I honestly appreciate all these instructions. Driver is my weakest part with stack / tilt so this is very beneficial. Thanks again, subscribed ✌️
Nick - started playing golf last summer after Covid restrictions lifted at age 60. Luckily then I found Tom Saguto and recently Rob Cheney. You guys are all great with detailed instruction as to WHY we do various swing motions. Keep up the good knowledge transfer. Working hard to get better everyday.
I like the instructions you provide. I used this method as week and would like to hear your take on grip. I put my back hand under the club and feel it gives me more flexibility in the back swing. You do look a bit stiff and your back swing is really fast. Thanks for the video.
I'm open minded re S&T, it has helped lots of golfers, but at the end of the day the system has a number of movements to be learned and repeated. Unless you are successful with these golf will remain a challenge. Good video Nick.
Thanks so much for youre great info, just one question concerning keeping the arms straight do I keep the trail elbow tucked in yes or no , just hard to see. thanks inadvance.
I like to think about not separating the elbows and using the tour strike smart ball is a great training aid for that. Check out this video: ruclips.net/video/KykrCo6B0bI/видео.html
Thanks Nick Brilliant explaination Is there an optimum loft angle for best results I’ve tried between 9 to 11 degrees of loft with various results Cheers
Great video, I have been trying S&T for a couple of weeks and although my strike has improved a bit, it is not translating into more distance.I have also injured my left knee due to keeping so much weight forward. Any suggestions?
Thank you ! MY GEORGE I THINK I’VE GOT ! LOL ! Now I’ve got 2 take this 2 the range today before my round with the guys ! It a rise up and around with my hips ? Not an actual turn with my hips ?
Hello Nick, > The Tangen Point is the Left Arm Pit, correct, is it ahead of the golf ball? > Low Point with Driver is it behind the club head and do you focus on the Ball or the Low Point? > Moving the Hip forward feels Awkward, noticed it will Open my Clubface and Path, and the weight falls heavily onto my Lead Foot, and now my new Pivot Point is this correct? > The takeaway, dropping the Lead Shoulder as you mention, going into impact through, it feels like the ball is not forward enough, feels I'll hit the ground behind the ball or jammed at impact forcing me to hit down, like I was hitting my Irons, still straightening my Trail Leg... > Getting my Hips under my shoulders is a challenge, feels like I'll drive the Driver into the ground. > This is a New Change for me, maybe it's just a new feeling at setup, but when I catch it right, it's Awesome, Thoughts?
Hi Nick, Thanks for the great content. I'm finding that the majority of my shots with Stack and tilt are tending to have more of a draw than I'd like, I noticed you mention having the clubface slightly open at address, do you do this with other clubs or just Driver?
Nick - understanding you cannot see my swing...what could be a reason why with the irons and S&T, I tend to hit more in the heel of the club face. Is this due to the swing path coming too inside?
I did my own S&T back when; irons were pure, but the driver was a low cut. Your driver setup & swing look to me like a standard driver setup. What am I missing?
Nick I am struggling hitting my 3wood off the deck. I hit it fat and can not get it off the ground. Could you please do a video on how to hit 3wood off the deck with stack and tilt. Thanks
Great video Nick! Lately I have been prone to hitting hooks & blocks with driver. Very frustrating to have a two-way miss. Nick how do I stop these shots that are really hurting my game? Thanks!
If it’s a path issue i would play the ball further forward in the stance as having the ball back encourages a path more to the right which can result in blocks and hooks
Weight at setup is 60% on the left side? And you’re maintaining that spine tilt throughout the backswing and that’s what’s causing the upward angle of attack instead of hanging back like what most golfers seem to do?
Hi Nick, Other (stack & tilt) teachers propose the ball to be placed one club head inside the left leg. What do you think would go wrong with this ball position?
Nick When on your backswing, do you feel pressure in legs or right instep or is at all nice and relaxed. I’m really struggling at the minute with consistency. Going to start going back towards stack and tilt like I have in the past
Nick Taylor Golf I’ve used stack and tilt on and off and it coincided with the most consistent run and golf I’ve had a couple of seasons ago. I really want to stick with it this time. I’m hitting some great shots with my irons but the sometimes hit low duck hooks out of nowhere. Iv been bumping my hips and then feeling pressure in my right instep, is this where Iv been going wrong? Also is it possible to bump hips to much? I think I over do it. How much should I bump hips at Address? Bump them down target line?
I don’t have one of these machined and I golf on a course. My question is, whats the fix when you hit 40 drives 2 feet off the ground, straight for 180 yards?
This is great, I am sorting out my Drive now. However, I have a problem where the stand up motion for this to work is also causing some stress on my left knee (right handed golfer). Any way to alleviate this?
Yes George, the amount of left tilt in the backswing will vary with each club. The driver will have less because the stance is more upright. You need to tilt enough to maintain a stable head position
Sorry Steve I was thinking of the plane station which i use everyday, one of my students has the planemate and really likes the training aid. I don't have a lot of experience with the planemate unfortunately
I’ve heard so many times how this method is better for the back. I’ve found the opposite to be true. For me, it places additional stress on my back, which is not good for a guy that has had two back surgeries. I think I’ll stick to a “conventional” approach, although I don’t believe “conventional” exists anymore. If you look at the guys on the tour, they set up and swing differently. The key is finding something that works for your individual body mechanics as we are all anatomically different. Cool video tho!
I need help. Avg drive is only 180 typically a fade and 5w off the deck beats that every time. I feel like I'm falling away at impact with driver and therefore not getting right shoulder down and through. Any recommended drills to over come this?
Probably been asked before but most other swings incorporate weight transfer. With most of the weight on the front leg how does this work in stack and tilt?. Or are you saying its actually not that important?
nick great video, ive been doing the stack and tilt method for years' wouldn't change!, I have a very strong grip though and driver can be inconsistent, any thoughts on ball position for a pull/draw biased grip? I don't slice, its just the overdone pull.thanks
@@NickTaylorGolf Im shortly seeing a coach on the south coast nick im from Somerset,, up to now I have the videos,S & T DVD,S and the book, but ive tried to understand things myself, which of course can be not always easy.

No idea how you open the face, and get anything other than a slice. I have to really feel like I’m closing the face in order to get one to go decently straight. I really don’t feel like I’m going out to in, it’s more my club face. Giving me those high, sweeping power fades / slices
My bad shot is overdraw so I open face to target but still closed to path. Sounds like your face is open to path, do you take lessons or have you videoed your swing?
Nick Taylor Golf yeah, I think that my face is open to path too possibly... I have recorded, and i thought I was coming out to in, but that didn’t seem to be the case. I consciously tell myself to swing in to out, and I think I really need to accentuate closing the face. Do you have the sensation of rolling your wrist closed on impact? I feel like that’s what I’m needing to do, but I feel that’s going to give me some major inconsistencies trying to time the wrist to close
Nick Taylor Golf yeah, I definitely need to pay more attention to my left wrist. I’m a huge cupper of the left wrist. Also, I’ve been using a super strong grip , which although should help, I think it impedes me from closing the club face and just causes me to “push” the club through the ball rather than release it through. So many swing thoughts lol
Remember you need the face open to target at impact and closed to path, you shouldn't roll the face through impact that will move the path left and more likely pull the ball
Your grip is extremely neutral - almost weak - as compared to other youtuber stack n tilt teacher Tom Saguto. How does someone use a stronger grip with stack n tilt without hooking the ball? I tried this yesterday and was hooking the crap out of it.
Brilliant video, Nick! Appreciate all the detail. I’ve struggled with driver using S&T, so this will be a terrific reference for me. Thank you!

Do you pull the club with your left hand or try to hit it with your right on the down swing?
Hi mate do you still put your weight on your lead side or is it just the bump of the hips with the driver that sets it up ?
Hi Nick, Thanks for the great content. I'm finding that the majority of my shots with Stack and tilt are tending to have more of a draw than I'd like, I noticed you mention having the clubface slightly open at address, do you do this with other clubs or just Driver?
Yes for sure I aim way to the right with every club, you can see that when i'm on the course doing the course vlogs 🏌
Nick - understanding you cannot see my swing...what could be a reason why with the irons and S&T, I tend to hit more in the heel of the club face. Is this due to the swing path coming too inside?
Not necessarily an outside path can cause heel strikes too, could be body movement either the head or hips moving closer to the ball
I did my own S&T back when; irons were pure, but the driver was a low cut. Your driver setup & swing look to me like a standard driver setup. What am I missing?
I love this approach to the golf swing, my only concern is have the weight forward with the driver when you are are supposed to hit up on it.
Hips set forward of the shoulders with the ball on left shoulder will help. My AOA is around 1 degree UP and the PGA Tour average is 1 degree DOWN
Nick I am struggling hitting my 3wood off the deck. I hit it fat and can not get it off the ground. Could you please do a video on how to hit 3wood off the deck with stack and tilt. Thanks

Not much maybe slightly more downward and rightward path

Great Video, kinda confused on hip bump. Saguto Golf says no hip bump for drivet

I wouldn't say the snap hook is the sole cause from too much or too little hip bump

@@NickTaylorGolf yes to a certain degree, my leading foot. Should I flare more, and will it affect the stack and tilt much?
You do not stand up. You thrust your hips.
What would be your set up changes for fade with driver?
Hi Nick, See in the backswing with the driver your left side bend is much less than you suggest (left shoulder down). Is that on purpose?
Yes George, the amount of left tilt in the backswing will vary with each club. The driver will have less because the stance is more upright. You need to tilt enough to maintain a stable head position
Nick what do you think of the tour striker plane mate, to help with hand path some6im struggling with thanks steve

Hello Nick, what should be stand width? A foot and a hafl? Does the width affect ability of hip turn?
Irons I place my heels level with shoulders but driver about 6-8 inches outside my right shoulder with my right foot
Damn🎉🎉
Thought I saw on another of your driver videos u set ball up at front toe?
You can play it either, experiment and find which one works for you
is it harder to hit a 47 inch driver with stack and tilt?
