The superstrut suspension parts on these are £1400 for new Toyota parts so a lot of money has been thrown at this car. And what a car it Is. In my opinion, the mk6 celica is one of the best looking 90's japanese sports cars out there. Great work making sure this one stays on the road for years to come. I hope Ray gets the enjoyment from the car he deserves. Good job guys.

I still remember the time in the '90s when I was waiting for my fish n chip order to be ready and a GT4 went through a nearby roundabout at a fair clip while being followed by a normal Celica. It did not end well for the normal Celica. Nice on boys.

The best part about car throttle is that it has all of the best programs in one. Car throttle does top gear style episodes and car sos episodes now. This is brilliant the true one stop shop for car lovers. Merry Christmas everyone

    Yooooo finally a celica.
My dad has an original ST205 WRC. That thing has been standing for 12 years with engine disassembled but slowly but surely it's being brought back to life.

You were able to hammer the caliper pins out of that, in the st205 community it means that car is in not that bad a condition haha. As a st205 owner myself I find these cars take a certain approach to really get things done correctly.

Great episode, loving this series soo much :) very emotional one for me ive have just lost my uncle to cancer, he too was a carer for his mother and spent his life looking after her, he had owned a Peugeot 309 GTI as his second car his enitre life and he never got to see it fully restored before he passed. ive now inherited his car and am going to try and restore it for him as best i can. thanks for the video guys :)

  • @Zesserie

This is heartwarming, seeing the Celica come to life again! This makes me wanna scrape together some cash to help my dad realize his project car, ever since he got ill in cancer the car has been sitting in his driveway without having the money or the energy to fix it up again. It's a shame not only for him since it's his dream car, but since it's a rare 1984 model volvo 245 estate turbo.
Basically the wagon version of the 242 turbo evolution, there was like 3 cars made in the color scheme where one is scrapped and the other became a track rat here in sweden. It's litterally the last one in pretty much stock configuration from that model year.

Having had the pleasure of owning a GT4 ST185 the older brother to this one. I can vouch that they are a real pain to work on but when running properly they're a hoot to drive. Also living fairly near a Toyota main dealer their customer service was second to none and really helpful.

A good deed done. The owner reminded me of my late father who has made all his family including his 5 daughters all mad on cars. He would help anyone, anytime on their car. Car SOS flavour going on, and helping out people who’s car is nearly useable. Well done lads.

Hi could I ask how one is to submit their story to the team? I have a Toyota Yaris T-Sport that needs a bit of work but I just can't afford it. It's been a particularly nasty year with my best friend taking his own life, my ex-girlfriend being murdered and just recently losing another friend to suicide. Feels selfish to ask for help but the chance that this comment even gets noticed is like 1% so there we go
