- Ankers is a known brand and they didnt disappoint. This time they have a wireless magnetic car charger. Theres a lot of magsafe accessories out there but the problem is the strength of the magnet. With Ankers 613 series 6 it holds the phone pretty good, with your average driving in the freeway streets long drives it will charge and hold your phone in place. This is also a set so it comes with the charger port for the usb A usb C connection to connect to your car. Excellent review, quality video. Shows everything what we need to know about this magsafe charger/ dashboard mount. So far this is what I need. The center air vent grills in my car are vertical so air vent mounts are not good for me, not to mention they can be damaged by the process and it covers the air vents.
Thank you for taking the time to comment, true the vent mount can be damage especially if the car is older it gets brittle in time , we are still using ours, still working but the sticking suction cup not as strong as it use to be, still holds the phone but by the next morning it’s off the base

Great review! Caution to those w cases other than the ones you demo, it has terrible grip w plain plastic case so that’s irritating i have to remove the case anytime i use it in my car (12 pro max)

Totally on board with you about magsafe cases, there’s alot out there that has weak magnets ,,, choose wisely , especially if you have a hard plastic shell case, I suggest you try the cases we reviewed like the moment or apples silicon case. If you have to remove your case, id buy another one ,,, makes the wireless car charger pointless since you have to take out your case to charge without it slipping, inconvenient. 👍
what are you talking about ? the demo does not have a case
at 3:07 we showed shaking the phone without a case and at 3:57 with apple silicon magsafe case, it held with exaggerated twist shakes, should do well in normal driving.
@@fatgirlboy9341 Easily missed if you are not paying close attention. These "thin fit" cases are hard to notice. I've used the Spigen brand thin fit cases for many, many years because they offer a matte finish silicone in black. I hate bulky cases and these fit nicely in my dress shirt or t-shirt pocket without overly weighing down the pocket and the slightly rough silicone make it not slip out easily when bent over. I bought an iPhone 12 Pro when released and only now am looking into a car holder for it. I've used Anker products for years and they are solid company. I will tell work about this, almost all the older phones have now been replaced with the 12 or 13.

Hi guys! Yeah you can do both portrait and landscape with the phone , the base doesn’t swivel , but the ball joint between the arms and the charger rotates and swivels enough for the passenger and driver too see . Subscribe and we hope we helped u out a bit
Thanks for the great review! I have one question regarding connecting to Apple carplay (in my Peugeot e-208). I have an ESR halolock magsafe car charger, but it does not seem to connect to apple carplay (both through USB A and B). Are there other car mount chargers that do connect the phone to Apple carplay? I do not want to buy a dongle and I do not want to need to plug in a separate cable every time I want to connect to apple carplay.
hi guys, thats more of a software issue , have you checked if your phone restricting your car play? try going to settings and then screen time, then content and privacy restrictions , then allowed apps then make sure car play is turned on green. For now magsafe are only meant to charge.

its arm would be on the opposite way but I think the magnetic pad should work well too.
You can totally do it that way too, if you meant putting it on the windshield above where it is on the video,,,, the sticky rubber actually holds stronger on glass than the plastic base,,,,we just put it on the dashboard so it doesnt block the view too much when driving,,, it all depends on you 👍 make sure to subscribe.
Hi. Why some accessories require iPhones to wear magsafe cases to use while others do not? (Like the charger in this video does not require cases)
all the magsafe accessories we have reviewed in our channel could be used with or without a magsafecase. If you have to use a magsafe case just for the accessories to work, thats not a good brand. If i have to guess, maybe you are talking about iphones that doesnt have magsafe, for example the iphone 11 it does not have magsafe but can wireless charge so you can use this charger but need a magsafe case for it to attach.

Why the magsafe 15W animation doesn’t appear?
Hi guys, the animation only shows up for official apple products like there magsafe charger and cases, but if its 3rd party like ankers it wouldn’t show the animation. Hope that helps make sure to subscribe and stay positive!
Is it always charging? There is no switch to turn on / off if the phone is full charge?
Good question, there’s no on and off switch, even when the phone is 100% its still charging like when you plug it with your lightning connector, but it does turn off when it gets hot
I love mine but after 10 months it failed cracked inside the arm at the point of where it goes up and down emailed anker they sent me a replacement so I’m happy

its the same model A2930, i believe its cheaper on amazon to incentivize you to buy it there, which is ok since it cheaper and they have there own anker amazon account so the warranty is still ankers.

I used mine for 6 months and it functioned perfectly, but now it suddenly is falling off all of the time. Any tips on getting it to stick?
Not sure if you are using the plastic base it came with or if u just put it on your dashboard, its better to use with the plastic base , try cleaning the suction cup with little water to get rid of lint dust from the car ,,,, ours falls off too but it holds it for about morning to night, i usually put it back on the next day, last thing you can do is contact anker they have very good customer service they might have a replacement for you 👍
@@PMR4Uhat do you mean it falls off? You mean the holder itself falls off and you need to adjust it every morning?! That sounds really crappy; I am waiting for mine to come and now I am lot less exited for it 😩
If you use the plastic base to put on your dashboard in time it will loose its suction, in the morning i put it on by night it comes off, i tried it on the glass windshield and when i put it on glass it didnt come off. Anker has good customer service i believe its 1 year, anytime before that if its falls off on your phone they can probably replace it. have a good day
@@PMR4U ok will see, i have used isopropyl alcohol to clean the dashboard real good before applying the sticky pad. So far 2 days in everything is holding really well including the suction cup part.
So if I correctly understand, your suction cup lost connection with the sticky pad in time and you frequently need to reapply the suction cup, but the sticky pad itself doesn’t loose contact with the dashboard? Regards, Tine
you hit the nail right on the head, the plastic base is still on the dashboard that never came off, its the suction cup that lost connection with the pad like you said. Also i didnt even use Ankers plastic base and the only reason why is because i still had my old ones. Ive had this charger more than a year now and it still works great except for the suction cup and if i put it on the windshield glass it doesnt come off. have a good day!

We tried hard braking and the phone never fell off , we figured it would hold up since we shake tested , really exaggerated just by holding the charger in the video at 3:28 , if it survive that , it should be ok on the road.

I don't trust mounts with such long arms. The leverage puts too much pressure on the suction cup.
we respect your opinion, i understand what your saying, so far on the daily, and vacation trips, long drive, i havent had a situation where the phone or the mount came off from the suction cup while driving.
@@PMR4U I think they tend to come off on really hot days. My guess is if you install it on a hot day your better off. The air inside use expand with the heat and take away the suction.
yeah i think in general on hot days the suction tends to come off, i had another phone mount that did that and it had short arms.

i actually dont mind the cig lighter, im glad anker included it, helps the people that still has older vehicle, we understand updated cars nowadays has usb ports, i just hope anker doesnt pull an appple and take away the cig lighter for eco friendly purposes and still charge the same.
You could always just plug the usb C directly into your car and forego the cigarette lighter....

Looks quite flimsy
It actually holds pretty well the magnets are strong , never had my phone fall off from the 🧲, the only issue is the plastic base in time , the suction rubber comes from the base, but if you attach to the windshield glass, no issue falling off.
Phone gonna heat up bcs of direct sunlight
your right, any phone mount holder thats direct to sunlight will heat up, another reason why i dont mind having this anker car mount because it angles down, its close enough that you can move the ac vent up to get air flow to hit the back of the phone. Make sure to subscribe and have a good day.

Keep falling off the circular platform disappointed for $69.99 not worth it
that happens to mines as well, it comes off less than 24 hours, so we put it on the windshield to check and it hasnt fallen off, so its not the suction cup or the charger, those are all good, its the plastic base thats included is the problem, we do agree its on the pricey side, Anker could've atleast put in a better base, like a glass top or something. other than that it charges and holds the phone well.
With my Galaxy s9, the magnet is useless. No hold at all.
Hi guys, its for magsafe capable phones only like the iphone 12 , 13 , 14 and up, it wont work on a samsung unless u buy a case that has the magsafe magnets
