- ESR’s Wireless Car Charger has always been a great deal - but this updated version features the new Qi2 Standard which means you get a full 15 watts of charging speed on your iPhone. This is MagSafe compatible so you can use an iPhone 12 or later or if you have the magnetic ring on a case (ESR has those too!) you can use pretty much any phone with wireless charging.

Good to see the MagSafe logo when its connected, I will also get one and check if it can really do 15W.
just bought it using your link~ cheers!
My wife has been wanting a wireless charger for her iPhone. I’ll probably grab this one and just adapt it to the ESR mount we already have (we have one that doesn’t have a charger). The thing I like is that they use the same thread mount for all of their mounts, so you can buy just the vent mount which is usually cheaper if you already have the arm mount. Thanks for showing how to mount it and easily take it out.
I recomend the Cryoboost version, I have the Cryoboost Qi standard
Snagged it for $23.99 yesterday on Amazon. Hopefully it works well and doesnt overheat. But I guess if I mount it in front of a vent it should be good.
What USB C car adapter are you using? I bought a Belkin one but it doesn’t supply power to the wireless charger, bizarrely.
I bought this and it didn’t have the MagSafe Animation. Do you know why? Do I need a faster car adapter?
I recently just purchased this item from Amazon. As much as its a nice quality. I do have some negatives about it. 1) its not as solid support from it moving around using the vent mount, but toloearable. My other issue that is concerning is that it gets very warm. Anyone have that happing to there unit where it gets very warm. Its seems tolerable heat but dont know if thats normal with this item. I have some other wireless chargers for desk but never get warm. Otherwise. It does what it needs to do.
What’s the point? Get a magnetic holder which is way cheaper and plug the cable in the phone directly
nice
Hey have you had any heat issues with this? Cuz ik other ESR ones have fans but this one apparently doesn’t…
It gets a bit warm when charging my iPhone 15 Pro at 15W. Nothing concerning but I bet a metal build would dissipate heat better than a plastic one.
I just gost myself one of this and it's getting hot (drove only 15 minutes). I'm a little concern about the heat. :(
I just wish this chargers have on and off switch because I don’t my phone charging all the time
Have you tried unplugging the cable?
I just got one, and the LED lights are always flashing when I connect it to a charger. Did I get a broken one?
I have not tried a car 12 volt adapter yet. I was just testing it out on a few of my wall chargers. Nothing works!
Do u need to attach magnets to back of the phone
If you have an iPhone 12 or later it has the magnets built in. Otherwise you’ll need a case with the built in magnet or you can buy it standalone to stick to the back of the phone.
android user buy normal esr 15w dont buy this only thats for apple 15w android 7.5w is it?
No actually! It’s using Qi2 standard so if your Android phone supports Qi2 then you get the full 15W! Apple actually helped make this standard for Android ironic. This is not normal MagSafe.
@@thorium9190 but Android phones doesn't support qi2.
I own this and the magnets are trash. Even small bumps in the road and the phone falls off.
Im looking into getting this. Do you have this Qi2 version? What case do you use (if you do)?
It depends on the phone case. The magnets are quite strong on the charger. I have to apply a decent amount of force to pull my iPhone 15 Pro in a Rebel case off of it.
If your case does not have magnets it won't work. You should be able to stick your case on a vertical metal surface by itself and it should stay put.
What is ur Phone ?
@@LeaMaunier Have had the same issue with both my Samsung S23 Ultra and my friends iPhone 14. Both phones using multiple MagSafe & Magsafe compatible cases.
@@adriftatlas My friends iPhone has same issue and is in a MagSafe case. My Samsung S23 Ultra is currently in a MagBak case and sticks VERY securely to metal surfaces.
Can you get an external mic please, voice isn't clear.
Apologies for the audio. I’ll look into this. Thanks for the suggestion.
@@IansTechavoid the negativity, your video was great and explanatory. Thank you for the review.
