Hey Stephen - Thanks for the review. I purchased the 12South HiRise 3 Deluxe last fall based on your initial review. Last winter, unexpectedly, the 15w MagSafe iPhone charger part stopped charging, so I could no longer use StandBy mode which I had become accustomed to. I contacted the company and, because they have a 1 year warranty, they shipped me a brand new unit at no charge to me and let me keep the old unit as well. Great customer service IMHO.
Wanted to share my experience with the 12South HiRise 3 Deluxe. I love the design of it but the charger itself I dislike very much! Used it 11 months as I just kept fiddling with it. Finally wrote and got a replacement on warranty recently. It does the exact same thing. My watch charges fine and never has an issue. My iphone 14+ has constant charging issues. It will say its charging and I go to get it when it should be done or close and it didn't charge 1% yet the green charging is showing on the corner of my phone. I constantly have to adjust it and watch it. Sometimes it will give that inital charging ding over and over again until you readjust. I have found the charge to be fairly slow also. I have used several different cases that are magsafe and still an issue. This wasn't cheap either at $150. They were quick and easy with the replacement and did not request a return of the initial one. I am curious after you have had some time with this charger how is it working out for you?
Out of this category, but I LOVE my 2-in-1 Belkin’s BoostCharge Pro. It may seem pricey, but its aesthetics is better imo than the most of the multipoint charges.
It has subtle look that’s perfect for standby mode. If you have AirPod Pros that can charge on the Apple Watch and MagSafe charger, you don’t really need more than the 2-in-1.
@@CJPorras Yeah, charging the Pro 2 on whatever puck is available, which is very nice. I wanted StandBy mode to look the best it can, so I had to pick that one.
Thanks for the video! I was looking a a comparison like this one. Please compare these with the Zens “Office Charger Pro 3” and “4-in-1 MagSafe + Watch Wireless Charging Station” these can also compete for the best tree wireless nightstand charging stations.
I would not lie, I have Pitaka’s products, but I recently bought 3 SRA 3 in 1, #2 winer n cheapest to have at nightstands in our rooms n I love them. It really doesn’t bother us that u cannot tilted but the portable Apple Watch charger is great.
I remember on a previous podcast you mentioned that only the apple magsafe charger managed to charge your iPhone without it significantly heating up. How do these compare? I’m always afraid of wireless charging heating the battery and decreasing its health prematurely
I got the ESR but it makes a quiet humming noise while charging. Just as a FYI for anyone looking into it. Was too frustrating for me in a quiet office space and I think I am going to return it.
i got the 1st gen belkin as a gift. still running strong. but if i was to get a 3 n 1 now it would def be the ESR. Covers everything for a portion of the price.
I got the Anker last month on sale for $80 with a free extra USB-C cable (they offer 12% first orders on their website with free shipping). The phone blocking part of the watch when in landscape doesn't bother me, but the slippery watch charger does and the sticker didn't really make a difference for me. I've gotten used to just placing the watch straight and adjusting it if necessary. I also like the bigger base, which makes it less likely to move around when I remove the phone. I found the Belkin just too wide and expensive for me
Is there one that includes all of: usb c, supports StandBy for iPhone, nightstand mode for Watch, fast charge for watch? Twelve south seems the closest. I don’t need a separate AirPods Qi charge.
I appreciate your try but what about charging speed test? You are talking about chargers without charging speed test. Sure all are qi2 but there would be differences, wouldn't be?
I’ve found they all charge between 11-14W consistently. If charging for a two hour period your iPhone will basically charge the same amount regardless of which stand you use.
I personally feel the ESR should be number 1 solely because of USB-C. The Hirise looks good sure, but if anything goes wrong with the cable it's probably going to be difficult to find and more expensive than a standard USB-C. Also, the ESR charger is half the price of the Hirise
strange, I have the first Belkin 3-in-1 and can still charge a phone on the bottom.. also, I charge my watch on it every day and it never turns around and moves the way you showed in the review 😂
That would be nice, although some 3-in-1's have a little magnetic pull for AirPods. I believe this Amegat has it: ruclips.net/video/iBELZfOStEw/видео.htmlsi=pGI-E1z8PEgoANfw
Between the Belkin Qi2 and the Anker 3 in 1's, which is more resistant to tipping/moving the base when removing the phone? Looking for one for my nightstand that is heavy/stable enough that it doesn't move. Also if you can compare them to the older Belkin magsafe 3 in 1, since that one is on sale right now and seems to be better with the removable cable. I have an ohsnap 4 magnetic grip that makes the magsafe way stronger so I need a super stable base and any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
I'd say the Belkins will do better not moving when removing the phone. And if you don't need the tilting iPhone stand, the older Belkin would be great!
@@beardfmas you explain, the old version doesnt hold the watch on place. Does it affect the charging or just aesthetic? Have the watch fall? Thank you .
There is a portable three in one magnetic charger that they sadly stopped making for some weird reasons. Do you have any opinion on one of those and do you have an alternative to suggest?
The ESR uses a mystery Qi2 module that's not very efficient and heats up. Charge performance and heat is very important as that's the primary reason to buy one. Satechi has also released 2-in1 and 3-in-1 units.
I have an older 12 south charging phone stand and the connecting of the vertical stem to the base is a crappy screw connection!!! Very disappointed because all of the other 12 South Items I have purchase in the past were outstanding. No more 12 south!!!!!
Got the anker and LOVE it. Footprint is perfectly proportionate when loaded with a vertical phone and watch.

Great to hear about the customer service! I’ve always had a good experience with them.
Hi @stephen, do I have to worry about third party 3 in 1 chargers impacting battery life negatively?

ESR makes some great stuff for sure! I still use the car charger every day
The ESR has a fan to help charge at a lower temp. You should do a temp check on each item charged after each charger is used
I have the Anker that I got on sale for $70 and I love it. I got it in the black color.
Thanks for the great review, my ESR 3-in-1 stopped charging my iPhone after 11 months so I am looking at perhaps going with the HiRise
Can you please review Nimble Podium 3 in 1 qi2, an Apple exclusive product?
Hadn't heard of this one! Will try to check it out www.apple.com/shop/product/HRXC2ZM/A/nimble-podium-3-in-1-wireless-charger

The Anker one is nice, and if you have room the larger base does make it stable! +1 for the USB-C port too
You are so amazing. You have done a thorough review on those charges and I must say I chose the best charger for me.
I want to love the ESR but it will not charge my 16PM. Does fine with the watch and AirPods.
Strange. I’ve used the Anker, Twelve South, Belkin and others with my 16 Pro Max if you’re looking for alternatives.
Thanks for that, would love to see a similar video for the best 3-in-1 Qi2 for travelling.

@@beardfmthat’s just on 1 charger though
I have the belkin and I have no issues charging the watch without the sticker
I like the Otterbox 15w 3-1 charging station is beneficial for me. Long 6ft cable is a must. Fast charges your iPhone and Apple Watch.
Will have to check that one out!
@@beardfm make a video of it. A lot of people missing out on the Otterbox products, even the MagSafe car charger is good.
Should i get the twelve south or the belkin one, the belkin is €40 cheaper for me. Or maybe something else? €170 seems steep for the twelve south

The Belkin is probably your best best, the Twelve South doesn't have a USB connection.
@@beardfm fair - doesn’t do nightstand for watch though, right?
Have you tested the new anker mag go charging pad/station? It’s like a rectangular pad with a tilting/rising MagSafe portion.

If you’re only charging Apple devices, MagSafe is better than Qi2, so that’s not really a drawback on the HiRise.
