I installed ESR Halolock CryoBoost wireless charger in my Hyundai’s Verna AMT car in India . It is working flawlessly to hold & fast charge my iPhone 14 Pro Max .
Will it fall off the charger under quick acceleration and potholes, which there are plenty. And does it heat up the phone?

Is it reallt fast charging though? It’s limited to 7.5w. At that speed it’s no different from plugging it into a cable connecting to the lighter port via an adapter
I bought this and the fan has a high pitched whine that’s quite annoying. I feel like you’d be better off just having the (usually more pleasant sounding) car air con on behind any MagSafe car charging dock. Especially since that’s actually temperature controlled airflow
Think so, nothing is better than temp controlled cool air that flow out from the vent.

I got the Tesla mount one for a super solid mount on my dash. I can’t stand suction cup or vent clips this seems like the best option for me!!!

if i'm not mistaken, the regular (non-cryoboost) version charges at 15 watts. So if you aim your ac vent at your phone while its charging, (easy to do) that will get you the fastest wireless charging available. isn't that right?
I don’t think it would be as direct because your charger would be covering the phone, but it should definitely help!
How come you didn’t show if it really keeps a phone cool?
Why does no one talk about running the heater out of the vents? I don't understand anyone who would think running a vent clip while running their heater is a good idea.
I slide the vent to close position because if I don’t i get iphone overheating warning within 10 mins
It has its own fan to help cool the phone, but otherwise i shutoff the vent its clipped to. Also it has a generic ball mount so could remove the vent clip and use another attachment.
Bc heat is supposed to directed at the floor unlike cool air
Vent mounts suck in the winter but they're great in the summer

I live in a tropical country and would mount the charger in a vent if i were to get it. Since my car’s AC will always be turned high and blowing straight into the phone held on the charger, i reckon i dont need to specifically get the Cryoboost version?

How good it is who is a MagSafe case?
I'm not worried about fast charging; I'm just concerned about keeping my battery cool to prolong its life. On my phone, I already use a charging device called Chargie to limit charging to 80% full, and after 18 months, I still have 95% of my battery health. The key to preserving lithium ion batteries, is don't charge it to 100% and keep the batter cool.
I don’t do any of that, Charge my phone overnight to full every night with a fast charger and never turn my phone off. Let it die and everything. 96% health after 2 years.

Yes it is
Clip is incredibly strong and doesn't necessarily need a vent. Mines clipped to the side of my cb in the tractor trailer and hasnt fallen off yet, even down washboard dirt roads.
Make sure to buy a good plug for it, i found the better the plug meant stronger magnetic field means it keeps charging and isnt so picky on placement of the ring on your phone.
It have to be a 18 v charger plug or it can be higher and how fast it charge compared to Apple MagSafe pad thank you

I am confused among the two, cryoboost with 7.5Watt charging and 1400g strength to Qi2 with 15Watt charging and 1600g strength... which ESR MagSafe would you recommend in today's date?

I know this is probably a really silly question, but how does apple car play work when using a charger like this
No, you need to plug your device so that it has a medium to transfer all the Apple car data as it is an adaptation of your phone and not native to the cars computer. Magsafe currently is not capable of doing so, nor does it seem like it will in the future.
Does this work with a 10 Watt Adapter? Does it charge slower or not at all?

Nope, i just tested this with the Quadlock MagSafe case (it has slightly weaker magnets than most magsafe cases IME) and the magnets on the ESR are so strong that sometimes it's even hard to separate the phone from the mount. I have to give props to ESR for making such a great magsafe range of products
Wait, so this thing has a built in fan? Is it audible? We’re you able to pick up any noise on camera?
Yes, in a quiet car I can hear it and actually feel the breeze from the fan slightly. But not aggressive at all and not noticeable when driving. When I grab my phone off this thing it actually feels cool.
