Is the 'Extra life mode' a cheat code and is it the whole campaign or just one level?
@@kadebeeny157 It is a type of difficulty. You start on a fresh save slot and then complete the full campaign.
For how cool it is, i really think that the zombie slayer skin will be all that's left of him one day, since his fight is ETERNAL.

This line doomguy is too angry to die isn’t just a saying it literally happened, in classic doom at the end of the first episode you pass through with no boss fight and are trapped in a dark room with demons surrounding you, you die and the episode ends officially, then the story continues in episode 2 with you starting the journey of tryna leave hell and kill all baddies, you eventually do killing a cyber demon and the spider mastermind who started the mars base attack in the first place and leave back to earth, to find doom guys pet rabbit dead on a pike and an demonic envision beginning, which starts Doom 2

Personally that is my favorite armor.
I love of how they were able to integrate the Doom Slayer's facial expressions with each armor set. With the Sentinel Armor, you can almost fully see the DOOM Slayer's full facial expressions on him. This shows that the animators went for facial expressions first, then armor.
Jordan Boyd We can deduce that they animated Doom Slayer in his birthday suit before they put the armor on him
Here’s a barely related story regarding facial animations and armor:
In Metroid Prime Samus has different expressions with her eyes you can see through the visor, these range from blank, focused, to angry. As a bonus if you linked Fusion to the save (or got it with credits in Trilogy) you could use the Fusion Suit, which is pretty nice. The only downside is they didn’t rig her face properly in it so she’s always pissed off regardless of what’s happening. It doesn’t effect anything because you rarely see her face during the entirety of the game but it’s a fun thing I’ve noticed.
Yeah, Hell I just rock that suit because he looks like a gladiator. Which I guess makes sense considering the back story.
Why wouldn’t they? Facial expressions are easier to template onto different armors than to integrate new animations for different armors

I’m honestly kind of surprised they didn’t have a variant based off the Sentinel armor, not the sentinel training armor but the one that the ghosts carrying praetor coins and the ones guarding the arena have.
Xpl0s1veT0ast ikr but maybe in the next “season” we’ll see a set of knight sentinel armor.
I think it is because it goes against canon, if you see the codex it always shows the slayer on the sentinel training armor and never on the night sentinel armor.
As well as the fact that i don’t really think it is solely for training since the slayer used it for actual battle as well as the fact that marauders (former sentinels themselves) wear a variant of that armor for battle.

Carton no but what i mean is that the sentinel training armor can be unlocked via batteries, and all of the sentinel battery skins are somehow lore related, and if we see all of the other non battery skins they tend to be non canon.

the perfect terminator that’s the point about the Praetor Suit. He’s supposed to look powerful and savage because that’s the way The Doom Slayer is and always has been and the 2016 suit reflects that about The Doom Slayer perfectly.
In my opinion, I prefer the Praetor Suit from Doom 2016 because it makes him look and feel more powerful and unstoppable, like he was intended

The phalos slayer one looked practical and it suited him while the full gold skin kinda was over the top. But so is ultra-nightmare so
I want to see the beast of a player who has both the gold suit and gold shotgun. That's a full Ultra Nightmare campaign AND 100% completion of the Super Gore Nest master level.

I like 2016 default skin more than eternal default skin, but had to give the og for the best skin in the game
Honestly my ideal Doom Slayer armor/skin would be a mix of the three, maybe the original helmet, overall design from Eternal for the main armor, and the colors/sealed suit (sleeves) of 2016

When Doomguy retrieved the Celestial Locator, it didn't feel right when the Argent Accumulator on the Astro Skin, Gladiator Armor and 2016 Suit didn't change color, but yet still illuminated its surroundings in blue. Just a nitpick.

Argent Accumulator? Those were the massive pole-shaped reactors. The Cyberdemon had one as a heart.
Tis the minor issue when it comes to skins in gaming. Sometimes ruin cinematics that involves the outfit your character is wearing.

I like that the Classic Doom Marine suit makes the Doom Blade look like a standard-issue bayonet. It's a nice touch, given he WAS a Marine at one point.
I would love to see a silver suit. Nothing really shiny. Maybe accented with gun metal grey. And it would be really awesome to have the ability to make your own armor with options based on all the previous Slayer suits.

hey if you can beat it in nightmare you can use a glitch in ultra nightmare to get gold skin
what you need to do is get rune saving throw and when you get hit like 1hp you puse game and alt tap and end task - then open game and there you go last chekpoint
ps: when you get roket luncher you need to win the arena where you aquired it without restarting or you will lose it for the rest of the game!

I mean, hypothetically, if you're on PC and have access to Cheat Engine, you could probably use commands to skip all the way to the end of Final Sin and kill the Icon with infinite HP and ammo.
It's not hard you just got to keep on moving. And if you keep on dying find new ways to kill the demons trust me.

I really like the Unicorn Skin. Kinda reminds me of Tachanka's Unicorn skin from R6.
Anyway, it's just the thought of a guy wearing a unicorn suit killing demons that crack me up.
I love that the Phobos skin is a reference to the third 1-on-1 fight with him in Quake 3 Arena, the guy who is just Doomguy reskinned orange. And that the Bronze marine is likely a reference to Ranger from Quake as well.
I really like the idea of zombie slayer. Makes it seem like he's coming after the demons even after death
My favorite is the demonic version it looks so intimidating and powerful
I kinda wish it looked more like the art on the promo-code card with the fiery eyes visible through the visor, that would've been slick, but aside from that i love the extra flames on his limbs and the red accents on his right arm

Funny was expecting a marine aoutfit those marines of Doom 3 wore at the last one, with helmet and all.
I know it’s deluxe edition, but man do I love wearing the Demonic slayer armor.

They had these concepts for a makyr slayer skin, I hooe it gets added sometime, it looked awesome. The helmet was a golden skull of sorts, the blade was made of energy, and the overall design was changed to look almost like a robot

I love the zombie Slayer cause that means, in some canon timeline, the doomguy managed to get killed, came back as a demon zombie, and just retrieved his armor to continue his quest to slay all demons
I love that every suit he’s wears, Slayer’s massive biceps are always exposed.
14:01 hope they fix the red part not turning blue and the rigging issue deforming the chest plate in a patch. The grooves don't glow when you pick up health as well but I really love this skin tho

Phobos and Astro are my favourite. White and gold give a Maykr-like aesthetic, and since Doomguy is basically our fallen angel and savior of the story, i think it fits nicely

18:55 - It's kinda weird that they didn't add a proper Doom 3 armor. They already had HD model in Quake Champions. Is it because it doesn't have a transparent visor?
