It really is a nice looking bike! I've been enjoying it for the last week or so - happy with my purchase so far. Rides very differently to my Offering, much faster rolling & more responsive feeling. I think the light weight and fast rolling tires are the majority of that though, but I can't confirm haha. At some point I'll have to swap the wheels between my two bikes and give it a shot, see how much of a difference that makes.
Lost In The Woods I’ve never had carbon wheels . Seen many explode but that was awhile ago. I think it will only make a small difference if any . I was so close to a jeffsey but wanted that bike shop back up. But yes it is a stunning bike that’s for sure
Hi! Very nice video! I was wondering if these hubs are 6 bolt only or if they are centerlock with 6 bolt adapters? Do you still enjoy the bike? Thanks in advance!
So I looked at the specs of the wheels online and they make it seem like the hubs only come with centerlock and you have to use an adaptor to use a 6 bolt rotor, but looking at the wheels on my bike I'm 99% sure they're just 6 bolt hubs. If there is an adaptor in there someplace it is insanely well hidden, I even pulled off the end caps to look at the bearings in the hubs and didn't see a centerlock interface hidden in there. The bike is great! Still very enjoyable whenever I ride it, it works very well for my purposes. YT's customer service could use some improvements but the bike itself is good haha.
@@lost_in_the_woods Thank you so much for the quick answer! I've read some more reviews of YT's customer service and have decided to not buy it. It looks like a dope bike with awesome specs, but I do not want to struggle with their horrible service. I'm happy that you enjoy the bike! Keep shredding!
Love the bike! The weird thing is that there are not many reviews on this bike. Would love to hear what you think about it. Do you think it could be part of the new generation of "down country" bikes? Could it be like a race bike or not so much? How is the pedal bob, sprints, down hill capabilities, etc... When you go tubeless, could you give us the exact weight? Sorry for all the questions!
The stock spec it could be considered a long legged "downcountry" bike. The longer stem, narrow handlebars, light tires & bar mounted suspension lockout all contribute to this. I'm not an XC rider, but I don't think you'd want to race pure XC on this bike. It would probably do well in a longer stage race like the BCBR, and it would be absolutely fine for more casual XC races. I'll put out some more videos when I've had more time with the bike. My initial impressions are the bike is very capable, and if you wanted to modify it to lean either more XC or more trail bike you absolutely could. I think the stock tires, bar & stem hold it back from being super comfortable on the downhills, but if those were changed it could become a real short travel ripper at the cost of some of the agility and weight. I weighed the bike just now - the XXL size is 13.04kg/ 28.85lbs with tubeless, Mallet E LS pedals, a bottle cage, wheel speed sensor & a pretty good amount of dirt on the frame haha.
Thanks for your detailed comment! I will be waiting your future videos for sure. Will love to hear about the bike weight and handling improvements when going tubeless! I bet this bike could be just fine in an xcm event with a bit of spec changes, but at the same time (changing tires and maybe stem), could rip in the downhills. Trying to buy a bike to do it all (going to study abroad and the apartment is so small I can only have 1 bike), but I could be considered mainly an xc racer until now; everything can change in the near future! Hahah
Thanks for the review, I'm am 190cm, would you recommend going for the xxl? I like to have some room but still want to have the nimble feeling in corners. Do you have the feeling you're riding a really long wheelbase?
Ok thanks for the fast reply! If it feels to long I can always try a shorter stem. I am used to go for xl because most times there is nothing bigger. You must be relieved that there are finally bikes with a big reach.
@@wijsmuller1987 Yeah, the recent trends in bike geometry definitely suit me well! For what it's worth, I did put a shorter (40mm) stem on the bike and wider 35mm rise bars on the bike, but that was more so for ride style adjustment than fitting.
Hey there - so I got my izzo. One issue - I cant seem to get my rear shock to more than about 150lbs pressure, which leaves me at about 40 percent sag. That is unworkable. Did you have any issues?
I'm 198cm/6'6". The bike fits well, I've done some longer ~80km rides on it with no pain or discomfort. It doesn't feel big to me or anything, it's still easy to maneuver and move around. This is my first XXL bike, so I thought maybe something would finally "click" to me and I would think "ah, so this is what a properly fitted bike feels like", but honestly... it doesn't really feel that different from my XL Evil Offering.
Lost In The Woods ahhh gotcha! I’m In the spot where I don’t want to feel like I’m riding a horse aka bike sizing purgatory. I’m 6’4” and felt fine on the jeffsy.... reach was a lil long for me But not terrible.... xl= long wait Xxl = 2 weeks The struggle is real
@@jeffroy7502 I’m sorry I’ve since sold mine not sure about the other guy here but it would be different as we probably don’t have the same inseam, reach, torso length etc
No, but I already have a bike pretty similar to the Jeffsy. I got the Izzo because I wanted a light, fast, short travel ripper. But if I could only have one bike and I was picking out of YT's lineup I would pick the Jeffsy.
Awesome man. Congrats!
Thank you! Cheers!
Oh wow congratulations, that bike is stunning 😍 . Ride and review please . Oh and the pedals match perfect 👌

It should be made into law that New Bike Day is your personal national holiday of course you have to show your boss the receipt to qualify
Sick ass bike BTW!
Now that's a law I could get behind. Thanks!

People usually make this unoriginal comment when it comes to Yeti bikes and not YT.
