I think with the right tire choice and good brakes this kind of bike could be where it’s at. The geo is sorted and it looks like you have everything set up great. I could def see a bike like this being my only bike. You handle it really well
Absolutely! This category of bike is really fun and is capable of riding just about anything, plus they're probably way more fun for 90% of riders than something bigger. I hope we see some more brands making bikes like the Izzo and the Spur, a light/ short travel bike with ultra capable geo is such a good combination.
If I could only have one I'd take the Offering over the Izzo because my local trails tend lean pretty heavily towards the "long climb into long downhill" variety, which is not what the Izzo shines on.
I've always thought a 140mm silver pike ultimate would look amazing on this bike - and you probably saw that YT just released the Izzo Blaze that comes with exactly that! I'm always tempted to swap stuff out on my Izzo to make it more suited for the downhills, but I also want there to be a separation in capability between my Izzo and my Offering. I'd end up with two very similar bikes if I changed all the parts on it that I want to haha. If it was my only bike though I would for sure swap the suspension out and put more powerful brakes on it.
@@hugodelaneyI have no doubt it's a super fun bike to ride. It would for sure be better fitted to riding trails like the one I rode in this video than my current Izzo. I think they could've gone further - the Blaze still comes with a 60mm stem, 20mm rise bars & those same G2 RSC brakes, all of which I'd want to replace if I was going to build a more downhill focused Izzo. The brakes might be less of an issue for people who don't ride a size XXL Izzo though haha.
Amazing trail! Love it! Perfectly suited to the Izzo
Good stuffs bro! Keep shredding 👊🏻👊🏻

Sooo after a longterm test, if you'd have to pick one, Izzo or Offering?

Have you thought about a 140mm fork? I'm thinking about it on my izzo🤔

@@lost_in_the_woods Any other thoughts on the Izzo Blaze? Seems to me they addressed a lot of the issues you mentioned.
