OTG is a good trail to work your self back into things. I've had two hard wrecks lately that beat me up pretty good and OTG was the first trail I hit to shake off the cobwebs. It has some challenge if you pick up the speed, but nothing crazy and it is long, so great bang for your climbing effort buck.
Hell yeah dude, good job riding this one. OTG to Atlas is probably my favorite run on the hill. This weekend I'm doing OTG to EBAD for the first time so we'll see how that goes - I'm coming off a Whistler Weekend so I've got confidence. I get what you mean on the Assegai / DHR II combo, there's not much better out there for the PNW I've found, especially in the Double Down casing. I'm very glad my Sentinel came with that combo over the Schwalbe tires - I was already running Assegai / DHR II on my Specialized Enduro.
Yo! I came back from Whistler with so much confidence as well! My fav Tiger lap is NOTG to Atlas. I rode EBAD about a week ago and it’s running well. I never understood why EBAD gets so much hate! The climb out isn’t bad at all. Have a good rip! I’ll be out there either Saturday or Sunday so if you see some dreadlocs, holler at me!
@@boombapmtb Hell yeah dude, Whistler and Sun Peaks always get me ready to push things at Tiger haha. Next coming weeks will be doing Predator for the first time. Honestly the only climb out that has ever "gotten" me was climbing out from ET to Joyride, fire roads kill my vibe. I'll keep an eye out man! I'm on a grey Sentinel with purple PilGrips so I'm also easy to spot.
I’m visiting north bend this week from western Colorado and planning to ride this. Looks awesome, but maybe the GoPro makes it seems like it’s rated higher than it should be. Looks like it would be a green or blue green flow trail in my neck of the woods.
@ same here, I got the DH casing on my enduro bike and they grip like a mofo. They also seem, even with the DH casing, lighter than anything I’ve rode with Maxxis. I’ve popped so many DHR’s I kinda just gave up on em.
man I am terrible running OTG. I don't have the endurance to complete it. I always die half way with my regular bikes and ebike. Last time I rode, it took me nearly 30 mins to complete.

Very well said. It worked perfectly for these exact reasons.

Just moved up here from Alabama (Bham) in July. So far it's been downright cold compared to the SE! Love it!
Summers are sooo much better here.

Sweet riding bud. I love your videos.
Thanks yo. I appreciate that.
Love OTG!
It’s a great trail!

No, I think you're seeing it correctly. The trail should be rated a blue by most rider's estimation. It should not be a black imo.
You ever try the Kryptotal tires? I switched over from the Maxxis combo you had and I swear by the continentals now.
Not yet but I’m definitely trying them next. My homie Jack youtube.com/@blap_mtb switched over to them on his DH rig and he swears by them.

It’s definitely a long trail and that climb in the middle of it isn’t fun. I bet it’ll get easier each time you ride it. 🤙
OTG should be a blue, thoughts?
Hard agree. I even said so in the description of this video!
@@boombapmtb If OTG is a black then Atlas is too. I'll die on this hill!
Yessir. We see eye to eye on this. Mentioned it on my most recent Atlas video.
agree
If Atlas is a blue, OTG should be a blue.
OTG or NOTG, what's your favorite? The eternal debate...
NOTG! I just wish it ran as long as OTG does.
Yu said schwalbie big betty and magic marys but which ones blue orange or purple strip?
Orange, if I’m not mistaken. What’s the difference between the colors?
@boombapmtb purple would be the heavier more grip but slower rolling
Ah!
what are your tires?
I was running Schwabe Magic Mary/Big Betty combo but switched back to my usual Maxxis combo
I have the same stock tires and am interested in those. So they felt grippier and all that?
They do, in my experience.
