Episode 2 - He-Man Paint - Originally released 6/7/2023
Today I'm working on a couple of He-Man figures that are in need of a few paint touch-ups before they go into my collection. A peak behind the scenes of what is on my cutting mat.
Thanks for your ongoing support.

Happy anniversary with love and health
Can’t believe it’s been 10 years! Love from a returning fan! Greetings from the USA!
Happy 10th Anniversary!!
Thank you so much for sharing the extra videos. I always enjoy watching you mix and match paints.😊
Glad you like them!
Dave you are the Master of paint mixing. You always get way closer than I do!
Thank you! Cheers!
It’s fine the paint isn’t perfect. These figures were necker perfect to begin with. In the 80s you could buy 2 of the same figures brand new, open them, and notice tiny differences in each figure’s paint.
That is very true. I don't believe there is a single perfect or 'mint' figure for any toy line. They all have imperfections. Wabi sabi all the way.
Fantastic Dave
These painting episodes are always my most favourite.
You’ve definitely gotten quite good at painting the faces back on figures. I certainly takes a steady hand. Great Job, Dave and Happy Tenth Anniversary!!!
Thanks 👍
Kind of liking the quiet atmosphere on this video, very relaxing. Ive often thought it would be cool if you had a “quiet” version with no music for each episode.
Thanks. There is no way to get it right for everyone with the music, so I just do what I feel suits at the time.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
I'm sure dave could re shape those hands somehow or do a different custom hands
Great job!
I just bought a vintage He-Man with most of the hair gone so this video is of great help
Fantastic!
I have a whole video on repainting He-man: ruclips.net/video/_gnmYOYQP-U/видео.html&pp=ygURdG95IHBvbGxvaSBoZS1tYW4%3D
@@toypolloi thanks!
I started my collection recently of motu vintage 80s figures and I try and get cheap figures and just fix them up myself and make them as close to the original ones as possible and if I can’t I make new figures out of them
I so want to make my own Savage he man. He is expensive. I also want to do is get the TMNT Slam dunkin Don. Paint it make the white jersey version From the original mold of course. I just bought my first 1982 he-man last fall.. His harness was loose in the back. I took super glue. & baking soda. Glues it on permanently. I chromed his ax weapon too. Then I added Vaseline into his harness. Still it looks shiny to this day. I got my first vintage battle cat too complete. I want to paint eyes on him. He had the strap but getting worn. So I totally glued the strap. On to my battle cat permanently. I saw somewhere Some guy Made a Complete. Whole resin cast he man figure. I thought about making a mold Just for the Arms too for future uses.
Eyy
Wouldn't it have been easier to just swap the heads? Then you'd only have to paint one head.
You could do that. The second head was damaged and I wanted a nice looking Savage he-man. The normal He-man is to go into a vehicle as I mentioned so doesn't need to look perfect.
What happened to his hand?? Was it melted?
Chewed I think!
You missed a great chance to black out some of He-Man's teeth for Skeletor to have a laugh about.
