All you work is great but I think the thing I am most in awe of is your ability to color match. It's just a skill you either have or you don't I think.

I watched the Real Ghostbusters cartoons as a kid after having watched the movie. I enjoyed it all. But I never owned any of the toys. Having recently started collecting and chasing down the Kenner Beetlejuice toys I kept thinking about these toys. How much they seemed to fit together with the Beetlejuice line. I had been considering collecting them again but hadn't bought any. And then I found a loose Super Fright action Peter Venkman figure in a yard sale for $1. Really great shape, but no accessories. But I'm now on the hunt to grab more of these to go with my Beetlejuice stuff. Thank you for sharing the repair process here. It'll help if I find deals on broken figures that I can fix up.

Another enjoyable video! I used to have the GB figures, but I sold them off in the '90s. I do sometimes miss them though, and getting a chance to see them all again in your video makes me want to look for them again--or maybe see about getting some of the newly recasted ones. The fixes you show aren't anything new, but the process is still incredibly enjoyable all the same. Every figure seems to offer its own unique challenges, so seeing you replace parts, touch up the paint, and mend broken bits is always fun to watch from where I'm sitting! It's always amazing how a little clean-up with soap & water, a little paint touch-up, and fixing a few broken bits can really transform toys back into looking very dislay worthy condition! If I hadn't seen you do the repairs, I wouldn't have suspected that any bits had been broken or needed paint. You skills just keep growing and growing, Dave. Very impressive, my friend! Very impressive!

Great restoration…. I was hoping you might have added the trim colors from the cartoon to each uniform, first custom job I ever did back in the day. But then it wouldn’t be a true restoration. Always had to resist painting the packs black like the movie.

Loving this video I grew up watching and playing with the real ghostbusters figures and firehouse and ecto 1 I swear u tried to sort that mold problem on figures on obi wan by bleaching them in peroxide brightening or spot cream to get rid of mold spots my ray had this problem all over and thundercats panthro could do with a solution for this was thinking of leaving them in mold and mildrew spray in a large hot dog jar to try to attempt to get rid of the mold on figures it worked on the nozzles on shower head when I left it to soak in mold and mildrew spray cream cleaner and bleach I just sprayed it on left. It on for a few hours it got rid of the black mold on it

    • @toypolloi

@@toypolloi There's no place of origin on the figures, but looked up a moc one and the card says made in China. Years ago I heard that condition referred as "plastic rot", but I'm not sure if they meant the dark spots on the plastic or when figures get sticky. As for the sticky issue I have some Marx toys safari animals and the softer plastic parts are sticky, and they're made in the US.
