I second that! I would love to see more small scale, scene specific dioramas. Fun to watch and, someday, I'd like to try some myself. I tend not to collect much because I get something, get excited about it, put it on the shelf, and then get bored of it! This would make it a bit more satisfying I think.
What a brilliant little diorama. I love all the details that reproduce the original set. Fantastic work! I can see you doing something along these lines as a book nook.
Dave, I don’t comment a lot, but this looks absolutely fantastic. I’m not a Star Wars collector, but this makes me want to start getting into doing dioramas for lines I do collect. I’d love to see you do more videos like this in addition to your restoration videos.
I'm wondering what you'll use to make the Jerba head. So weird we've never gotten one....except a head from the Carbonite wall dio. *Oh okay, so not going with one. Even without it, everything totally works.
Great video! My 6 year old son loved it. He also expressed disappointment that you don't "play" with your toys when you're done fixing or scratch building.
Just wonderful! After watching your videos and the CrafsMan's I made a silicone mold of Han in Carbonite and cast it in pewter. Glued a felt panel to the back and now Han is a nice paperweight! Thanks for the inspiration!
This is fantastic! The first video I watched on your channel was your little Ewok mini-diorama, which I loved and which re-ignited my Star Wars collecting. It also sparked my interest in dioramas, starting with a Hoth Echo Base scene I made from a styrofoam packing mold, some used printer cartridges, and wires from broken headphones. (Cheap but reasonably effective-it's still on my display shelf.) So it was a thrill to see you make another diorama, and this one is amazing.
Thank you very much! Lots of people have been asking for more dioramas. I've just been pondering what to do. This is the first of two I've worked on recently and I have plans for more.
When I was a kid i would of easy put a circle around that in the top catalog amazing wish had the sizes would have a go at making one keep up amazing work
I've heard the Star Wars universe described as "lived in". It's very weathered and worn, and seems to be filled with the little stories that only long term habitation can tell. I love how much you've leaned into that feel here. Great job on this one, Dave!
Agree with so many other comments, this is awesome!! Not only can you fix anything, now you're making better plays ets than most of the toy companies out there. Can't wait to see what you come up with next! Keep up the great work Dave, we love it!
Wow Dave, that was awesome. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the whole process from beginning to end. As someone who has built this same scene for my modern figures it was real cool to see it from your perspective. Some great ideas there which I will certainly implement in future projects. Bravo Dave Bravo!
I'm speechless Dave! Where the hell were you when Hasbro pulse were dishing out their stupid ideas for playsets and dioramas?! Seriously though, your creativity is matched only by your imagination and even though you maintain such an unreproachable sense of humility, your skills as a toy artisan are - as Lord Vader might observe - impressive. Most impressive! This little set piece harkens right back to the old Kenner playsets my parents couldn't afford when I was a kid but even back then we didn't let material objects way beyond our purse strings stop us. A cardboard box, sticky tape, paper and some felt tip pens could quickly and easily become a million and one different things, the only limit was our imagination and it's wonderful to see those old traditions being kept alive. Thanks Dave.
Fantastic video and diorama! I love that you didn't go too large with the paint washes - you maintained the vintage Kenner/Palitoy aesthetic (as you do when you renovate the figures). Love it! And the lighting looks great. Your channel is an inspiration!
Phenomenonal work, TP! This has to be one of your most enjoyable videos of all time. Would like to see more environmental pieces like this one. The possibilities are almost endless. Artoo/Threepio at Jabbas gate with TT-8L/Y7 gatekeeper droid is just one idea. Thanks for the video 👍🏻
For the bottom weights, you should take some aluminum foil and crinkle it up and put it on the base so it reflects the orange light and scattered directions giving you more of a fading light.
Wow, this turned out absolutely great Dave! Amazing what you can do with a bit of styrene, plastic weld and some LEDs. Y'know, I've seen Return of the Jedi so many times, and I've never noticed the Tauntaun Tauntaun head on the wall before, crazy how these little details can be right under your nose sometimes.
Amazing video. You made a great Diorama and better than the expensive crap Hasbro makes with the over prices toy display. Great imagination, craftmanship and thought gone into this and probably a fraction of the cost what Hasbro would make. If Kenner made this back in the day as a play set i think you have come close to it. Enjoyed watching how you created this fine art. Keep up the good work and amazing ideas.
It's something I was thinking about and have done on other projects. For this it just needs to be simple to make it work with the style on the vintage toys.
Probably your best ever build Dave. It's amazing work. Hasbro are selling a cantina for £500 or you could have a go at something like this yourself and it would cost a fraction of that and it's a better diorama. Dave this really is amazing work. Well done mate.
Sir Dave, this is yet another classic video of an ingenious build - bravo my good Sir! Your toy repairs are marvelous, but your custom, scratch-builds are simply amazing. I love the lights and use of the magnet to suspend ol' Han on the wall. That color flows and just works with the vintage SW Boba and Leia. Wonderful job!
Hey there mister, I just wanted to remind you, even if I don't care for some of the topics of your videos and skip them, I do appreciate returning to your content when I'm able and finding the same enthusiasm for the hobby still there. Thank you for your videos.
Hasbro $500 diorama. Toy Polloi hold my beer.
Amazing! I was worried you’d almost exhausted vintage Star Wars restorations but this opens up a whole new world of Toy Polloissibilities! 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!

I tend not to collect much because I get something, get excited about it, put it on the shelf, and then get bored of it! This would make it a bit more satisfying I think.
That looks fantastic, though I had hoped we would see the display in the dark so the light really would show 😊
I knew you were good but not this good. Sir, you are the master!
Wow, thanks!
All these years. Since 1983. I never noticed the Taun Taun in ROTJ. What else have I missed?
R2 and C3PO in Raiders of the Lost Ark?
@@kevincarssow2902 That one I know haha
What a brilliant little diorama. I love all the details that reproduce the original set. Fantastic work! I can see you doing something along these lines as a book nook.
Amazing custom piece
Thanks 😊
To simply put it, brilliant.
That is a masterpiece!😊
This video is a real treat; a great result but also a lot of fun to watch. Thanks!
Thank you very much!
Jesus on a jetski, this has no right to be this good! Awesome!
Dave, I don’t comment a lot, but this looks absolutely fantastic. I’m not a Star Wars collector, but this makes me want to start getting into doing dioramas for lines I do collect. I’d love to see you do more videos like this in addition to your restoration videos.
Thanks. There is another Diorama build coming along in a couple of weeks. And it's not Star Wars!
Fantastic video, absolutely brilliant. Looks quite easy and way less expensive than what Hasbro was charging.
Taun-Taun was giving you a run for it's money! Was like, you can cut me, but your arm is going to be sore afterwards.
A lightsaber would’ve been quicker
I'm wondering what you'll use to make the Jerba head. So weird we've never gotten one....except a head from the Carbonite wall dio.
*Oh okay, so not going with one. Even without it, everything totally works.
Great video! My 6 year old son loved it. He also expressed disappointment that you don't "play" with your toys when you're done fixing or scratch building.
Thanks. You may not see me playing with them on camera 😜
best thing I've seen all month
Fantastic work Dave. Always a pleasure to view your videos. Time well spent.
Glad you like them!
Best project yet. BRILLIANT!
Wow!!! That is simply amazing!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Great job again!
Amazing that you do all that things without fancy tools, but with very basic stuff. A lot of skill instead.
Thank you very much!
Just wonderful! After watching your videos and the CrafsMan's I made a silicone mold of Han in Carbonite and cast it in pewter. Glued a felt panel to the back and now Han is a nice paperweight! Thanks for the inspiration!
Absolutely wonderful to watch this. Amazing creativity and I love the insights into how I could start doing things like this for myself.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow! Truly enjoyed watching your idea come to life. So cool!! 🤟🤙🖖
Thanks 👍
Absolutely stunning! A brilliant diorama. If you don't take commissions for this kind of work, you should definitely consider it 😊
From the thumbnail I genuinely thought this was restoring a toy I'd not heard of.
The build quality and detail on this is off the chart!

What an ingenious idea with the light! Very cool, Dave.
Amazing Dave it looks just brilliant im always amazed how you can make so much out of your imagination and bring it to life 👍🏼
Glad you enjoy it!
Seriously brilliant, Hasbro would make a fortune if they copied this and sold it. Well done sir you are 👌
When I was a kid i would of easy put a circle around that in the top catalog amazing wish had the sizes would have a go at making one keep up amazing work
Awesome work my friend. Love the colours & details it’s amazing how much it looks the part
That looks AMAZING, Dave! Great job! Thanks for sharing!
My pleasure!
I've heard the Star Wars universe described as "lived in". It's very weathered and worn, and seems to be filled with the little stories that only long term habitation can tell.
I love how much you've leaned into that feel here.
Great job on this one, Dave!
Thanks. It's the dirt that brings this to life. Pulls out the details.
You know I love my custom made pieces and this one is awesome
Love it 😎👍
This is awesome. It looks like the old playsets.
Thanks!
One word, Brilliant!
Agree with so many other comments, this is awesome!! Not only can you fix anything, now you're making better plays ets than most of the toy companies out there. Can't wait to see what you come up with next! Keep up the great work Dave, we love it!

That was really neat
Really awesome work, as usual. I love how simply you made this but achieved a very finished piece. - Joe
Thank you very much!
That is absolutely amazing ! I wish I had your talent.
Dave! This is AMAZING!!! I’m blown away by how great this looks. Thank you!!
Glad you like it!
This is great.
Thanks 👍
Fab little diorama piece! 👏 Great work indeed, it will look great on your shelf. 👌
Many thanks!

Good idea
Inspirational. You made it look so simple, but then those with skill always do! Really enjoyed watching this. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Cool build 😎
That little “movie set” you created has more atmosphere and movie feeling than the tacky stuff Hasbro throw out. Well done!
I love watching you build these projects. Thanks for sharing and happy weekend.
Very cool! Will look great with a Jabba in there too!
Pure enjoyment to watch .. you are so talented 👊

Hey Dave
I really enjoyed the video and the outcome of the diorama is great!
Take care and Happy Weekend to you and MrsTP 😊

Impressive, most impressive
Before the weathering I was thinking spray some tacky glue and throw some sand at it, but then like you said, it wouldn't look like a toy anymore.
It's something I was thinking about and have done on other projects. For this it just needs to be simple to make it work with the style on the vintage toys.
Absolutely wonderful. Great work man.
Thanks
So awesome. Love it.
Probably your best ever build Dave. It's amazing work. Hasbro are selling a cantina for £500 or you could have a go at something like this yourself and it would cost a fraction of that and it's a better diorama. Dave this really is amazing work. Well done mate.

Thank you! Cheers!
Incredible Dave!
Fabulous!
Well done, Dave! You're talented and do brilliant work, dude. Cheers mate 🇨🇦
Thank you so much 😀
You have a really keen eye for detail. I've never spotted the Tauntaun head or the holes in the wall before you pointed them out.
Amazing job!… I love it
Brilliant! Hopefully you can do a few more similar dioramas in the future for Star Wars & other toy lines
Keep an eye out in a couple of weeks!
Nice work! Appreciated it!😊
Awesome! Great Job!
Well done Dave! You should be pretty stoked with that!
Hey Dave and again a amazing Star Wars Diorama for Kenner Star wars figures.👌👌👌
Impressive, most impressive...💥
This turned out into something that should have been produced by Kenner or Palitoy, what a result Dave!
That is so cool great job 👏🏻
Fantastic video. Very inspiring. Thanks TP.
Incredible
Excellent job on this!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Hey there mister, I just wanted to remind you, even if I don't care for some of the topics of your videos and skip them, I do appreciate returning to your content when I'm able and finding the same enthusiasm for the hobby still there. Thank you for your videos.
Awesome custom piece, Dave.
Thank you! Cheers!
This looks like something that Kenner could have made in the 80s or 90s.
Awesome build!
Thanks!
Amazing!
Amazing work,looks awesome 👌
Thank you! Cheers!
Amazing!! Thanks for this! It inspired me to do something similar! I hope I will have some time to do this!
Go for it!
Lovely job Dave!
Brilliant
