We owned Awesome Set of 1970 Boss 302 Mustangs parked at church wedding 1975, one 'school bus yellow, ' competition gold, the other, grabber green. We tire out in the gold, sideways, boiling smoke, slamming thru gears, Hurst shifter. Folks stood on curb, drop jaw, in awe. For us, Nothing compared to the fun thrill of the 1970 Boss Mustangs. You must experience the drivers seat to understand the sheer joy, and feel the powerful loud sound, unique roar, rumbling intimidating growl. Hear that sound and know it's the Mustang, coming round the corner, even before you see it. We've had several Mustangs since, but Wish we still had the Bosses! Thanks for the memories!!

Such a beautiful car. Here in Australia we have only just started to get mustangs sold here but i really wish we had got these models back in the day. Soo much cool factor!
David, one of my dream cars is the 2014 Ford Mustang GT premium with the deep impact blue. I personally love the Coyote 10-14 years the best. The Boss 302 is an absolute beast of a car!
Back when i was looking for my boss 302 and this car was still in MN, i actually would go look at it before cj bought it. It's come a long way from when i was looking at it. Ended up doing to Oregon for mine because i wanted really low miles
I love the S550 for the interior accoutrements. The 197 makes you a better driver by force. Physics happen quickly and are humbling. That said, the S197 are raw units and reward skill like nothing else. Love them
Love my 13 BOSS. I had purchased a new 13 GT Premium and 7 months later traded it in for one of the last new 13 Boss' available...Needless to say no regrets!
I have a 2012 Boss 302 in Kona blue. The boss is a very underrated car. They are just nasty. Also there are not that many of them. Only a w year run. The roadrunner engine is unbelievable.
Loved it and honestly it was underrated and I actually like it over the gt350, I think it looks better and I like the feel and challenge of a live axle over independent suspension
I'm currently on Boss number 2 2012 model no thanks to a drunk driver destroying my first one when he T-boned me while in it. Needless to say I went and bought another one immediately! They're unlike any other Mustang out there and definitely are an attention grabber anywhere you go. Loved the video and that WONDERFUL ear music coming from that roadrunner engine!
I only have an 11’ GT premium. It’s fully loaded and super clean. I’d literally cry and then promptly beat the shit out of whoever crashed me. I’m trading up to a Boss come this March 23’. I think the absurd used car market will dip a bit with this current economy. It’s been my dream car since they came out. I’m stoked!
Just drove a stock 13 GT500 this afternoon. I just don't get the same thrill out of driving fast modern cars that I do driving my older cars. This was a great car, and they probably made fewer than 8000 of them during the entire production run of 2012 and 2013. They are much harder to find on the used market than the GT 500's from 13 and 14, and well kept examples have held onto a lot of their value.
The foglights circles are removable for better air flow. Remember this is basically a track car. And on the seca model you don’t get a roll cage but, you get rear brace bars instead of the seats.

This Boss 302 is GREAT. I think you would enjoy reviewing a stock 2012 2013 Boss 302. It will provide a VERY unique experience you have not had yet. Don't get me wrong, I love the mods on this Boss :D But the stock one is different enough to also be worth your time and review.
The reason the grille on the 302's have the "blank" fog lights is because Ford positioned this car to be all business, no frills mustang. No fog lights, no navigation, no glass roof option, no leather, no shaker sound system, no unnecessary weight. The idea is to have a no bullshit, all motor car, it also adds to the specialness of the car, the 2012 Boss in orange is one of my dream cars.
It’s one of those cars like the AE86 Corollas, it might not be the most refined, but it grabs your soul and makes you enjoy the sublime moment of connection between man and machine. Love mine.
Usually I thought most decatted coyotes sound annoying af (I have a lot of them that dwell in the Daytona Beach area.) and ngl.. I know this is Audio but.. this roadrunner engine sounds GLORIOUS. I’m honestly surprised.
The 13-14 body is one of my all-time favorites, especially the GT500, but at the same time its interior is also one of my least favorites. The S550 is just so much nicer inside. And thank you to the owner for his service.
Just an FYI, Laguna Seca edition does not have a roll cage. It does have rear seat delete, which shows off the cross brace on the back wall, unique wheels, wing and aggressive front splitter.
I currently have a 2022 bmw M4 comp. Which is amazing. However, I miss my 2012 Boss 302 due to the “fun factor”. I will add shortly a Boss to the family once again l. Should have never gotten rid of it.
Great review David ....nice to see some love for the boss👍 I bought my 2012 low mileage race red boss 2 years ago from a Florida dealer.i like the 2012 body style more than the 13 cuz I think it looks more agressive. Gonna keep it til I croak . I know I would get my ass beat at the strip or on the track by newer muscle cars but I don’t care cuz I didn’t buy it to race ....It makes me feel like I’m driving a 60s/early 70s raw muscle car . Interior is plain like the old cars. Manual adjust recaro seats 4 speaker base stereo sounds plenty loud and has an aux in. No track apps But don’t care cuz I wud never use them ..I have the red key and it shakes at stoplights from the Lopey idle.i keep the baffles in the side pipes and sounds mean as hell but quiet around the hood...too loud and raspy sounding for me when they’re removed.and I love that I never see any other bosses around town cuz they only made 4000 of my body style for 1 year ....its my extra car. so only gets driven once or twice a week I plan on taking it to car shows and cruise nights when pandemic is over.
The perfect street Mustang. Tons of character from the stick axle/V8/manual, the stoutest Coyote variant, corner-loving suspension and timeless S197 body style. Topped off with those eye-catching graphics. But maybe owning one has made me biased...
The lacuna seca didn’t come with a roll cage, it just came with a rear seat delete and a x brace for added stiffness. The fog lights aren’t there because the black pieces pop off for added air flow when on track.

I recently drove this car from San Diego to NM after my buddy bought it. It was an absolute blast to drive. So easy to get up to speed and handles it super well. The performance through a bend was also phenomenal
IMO, 2013-2014 Mustangs are the best looking modern Mustangs. Would love to own a 13-14 Boss someday.
They were MY 12-13 only, 2011-12 by production dates
This is my attainable dream car.
This car is owned by CJ. Super cool dude! He bought it from a dealer that is local to me here in Minnesota. I was so close to pulling the trigger on this exact car. Amazing its on your channel David! Keep it up!
I like his wheel and tire set up. A little extra meat in the rears and the right rim. Has a look like it should have come from the factory that way. Well done! Good review as always David.
it's a track car not a drag car
Isn’t a drag strip a track?
I love the body style of these stangs, before the 2015 remodel! In my opinion one of the best designs.
My father has a 2012 boss and I have a 14 5.0 and that what I’m trying to mimic is the handling. The 302 is planted to the ground
Do you think that suspension upgrades and lighter wheels make it better?
@@unfairsanic5089 yes
@@alxin_836 ok, cuz im palnning to buy a used mustang gt 2016 in the near future and I want to make it more faster than a stock gt350 on track is it possible?
@@unfairsanic5089 it is very possible, power wise theres not that big of a difference , all you need to do is like you said , lighter wheels, suspension upgrades that are better than the gt350 and do some power mods to be able to rev to higher RPM
@@unfairsanic5089 starting from base poverty spec GT is going to be very expensive, if you can start from a PP2 so you get the magneride cuz if you don't youll never get better than a 350 with out spending a lot of money
Love the video, the downshifts + pulls where just eargasmic lol. Owner’s gots a nice stang 302 👌
I bought a 2013 Laguna Seca version of this car two months ago and can't stop driving it. It is in it's own league. It is fierce beyond words and handles so incredibly. The LS version is very very special but it was the standard Boss 302 that I test drove that sent me on an immediate search for one. I just happened to get lucky and found the LS. If anyone gets a chance to drive in one of these you won't believe it.
hang on to it. Only 750 made for each of the 2 years.
Fog light blanks come out for engine cooling at tracks.
The 2012 boss 302 is my favorite coyote car. I'd take that any day over a new gt350
I had a grabber blue 2013 Boss 302 and loved it except for the crappy transmission. Now I've got a 2022 Mach 1 and love it.
Just got my Boss 302 last week. It's a great car!
My friends got one, same color and all.
Beautiful car stands out and runs extremely well !
Love my 2012 Competition Orange Boss 302! Bought it new and will never part with it, even after 9 years it’s still a thrill to drive!
I have a 2013 boss #2038 it's my 4th mustang an by far my favorite. So well balanced the quad exhaust is a unique sound the track key is a whole another car. I like the review done. As a dealer for Ford I've driven every mustang under the sun an I had the option to buy a 350 R with more miles or the 2013 boss I have an I dont regret my choice at all.
Such a beautiful car. Here in Australia we have only just started to get mustangs sold here but i really wish we had got these models back in the day. Soo much cool factor!
I think they are awesome. They are def underrated. Perfect for a daily and a track/seat time car.
David, one of my dream cars is the 2014 Ford Mustang GT premium with the deep impact blue. I personally love the Coyote 10-14 years the best. The Boss 302 is an absolute beast of a car!
2010 was a 4.6
It’s still looks so good, especially with a turbo!
Back when i was looking for my boss 302 and this car was still in MN, i actually would go look at it before cj bought it. It's come a long way from when i was looking at it. Ended up doing to Oregon for mine because i wanted really low miles
It took a lot of love to get to where I wanted it but I’m happy! And glad it worked out for both of us!
Love the content, you go in great detail on all your reviews!!
I love the S550 for the interior accoutrements. The 197 makes you a better driver by force. Physics happen quickly and are humbling. That said, the S197 are raw units and reward skill like nothing else. Love them
Thank you for posting this on Sunday. It makes going back to work tomorrow a bit more bearable lol
Love my 13 BOSS. I had purchased a new 13 GT Premium and 7 months later traded it in for one of the last new 13 Boss' available...Needless to say no regrets!
Is it a big upgrade from the 2013 gt ?
I have a 2012 Boss 302 in Kona blue. The boss is a very underrated car. They are just nasty. Also there are not that many of them. Only a w year run. The roadrunner engine is unbelievable.
Loved it and honestly it was underrated and I actually like it over the gt350, I think it looks better and I like the feel and challenge of a live axle over independent suspension
Best Mustang since 1970. They did so well on the Boss 302
I used to have a 2012 version. I bought mine while deployed, lol. By far and away one of my favorite cars. Some days I really miss it.
Love it. One of my all time favourite Mustangs.
I’m stoked!
I can always tell how much you love a car by how many pulls you do and you love this car lol
Love that cowl hood. I have a ‘13 GHIG Boss. Mine has twin turbos. I love my Boss. Truly Amazing cars....
This car looks amazing and definitely sounds awesome I would love to own one if I could get over the interior
Ide love to own one if I could afford it.
Just drove a stock 13 GT500 this afternoon. I just don't get the same thrill out of driving fast modern cars that I do driving my older cars. Even the owner agreed that my 67 coupe with upgraded suspension, 375hp 331 stroker and Borla 3" exhaust was more fun around the backroads. Of couse it's 900lbs lighter too
That is the most wicked sounding 2013 Boss 302 I have ever heard!
No such thing as a 14 boss 302
@@BossMan302 Technically you are wrong. Ford Performance continued making the Boss 302 in 2014 as an R and an S model. They were strictly race cars and not meant for street use.
No they were going to make 50 boss 302S cars but never did. Even if they did you can’t purchase a 302S so it wouldn’t really matter.

@@Ccs4646Wdym bro the boss handles better 💀
@ Lmao no tf it doesn’t. It’s live rear axel and no IRS. That thing handles like a boat

MUSTANG!!! What is your instagram?
This was a great car, and they probably made fewer than 8000 of them during the entire production run of 2012 and 2013. They are much harder to find on the used market than the GT 500's from 13 and 14, and well kept examples have held onto a lot of their value.
nah they're still pretty easy to find on the used car market..
The foglights circles are removable for better air flow. Remember this is basically a track car. And on the seca model you don’t get a roll cage but, you get rear brace bars instead of the seats.
Favorite Mustang of all time...
I freaking love this car! Between this and the mach CJ has two great looking cars.
Thank you man!

I swear I’m learning every time you upload review videos for every car!
Love seeing these. Great to buy. can't see these going down in value.
Still a Dream Garage car in red or black with the leguna seca package 🤤🤤🤤🤤
It’s one of those cars like the AE86 Corollas, it might not be the most refined, but it grabs your soul and makes you enjoy the sublime moment of connection between man and machine. Love mine.
I’m moving across the country just so I can drive my boss every day again xD
I love my 13 Boss, plus it doesn’t leak oil 😜
Usually I thought most decatted coyotes sound annoying af (I have a lot of them that dwell in the Daytona Beach area.) and ngl.. I know this is Audio but.. this roadrunner engine sounds GLORIOUS. I’m honestly surprised.
I could never sell my Boss, ill have to buy another Mustang to get something modern in addition to
The 13-14 body is one of my all-time favorites, especially the GT500, but at the same time its interior is also one of my least favorites. The S550 is just so much nicer inside. And thank you to the owner for his service.
Ive been on the fence on wanting to get a mustang. Just so much car for the price, and I love the look of the 13-14
These cars are so cool; rear exit exhaust AND sidepipes, removable faux fog lights for better cooling, and special recaro seats.
Should have never gotten rid of it.
the 2013 & 14 S197 mustangs are in my opinion the best looking mustangs built - making the 2013 BOSS 302 one of the best mustangs, an instant classic
I think it's a awesome car. I never like the s197 mustang but when I saw THE BOSS I fell in love with it.
Honestly never really been much of a mustang guy but Now I’m really digging this gen mustang especially this one it looks sick
The perfect street Mustang. Tons of character from the stick axle/V8/manual, the stoutest Coyote variant, corner-loving suspension and timeless S197 body style. Topped off with those eye-catching graphics. But maybe owning one has made me biased...
I agree , I had a 13 school bus yellow 😊
The lacuna seca didn’t come with a roll cage, it just came with a rear seat delete and a x brace for added stiffness. The fog lights aren’t there because the black pieces pop off for added air flow when on track.
The best !! Greetings from Mexico !! 👍
03/04 Redfire cobras and ‘13 SBY Boss 302s are perfection!
