Hi, I'm Max (@nervzofficial) and I run FL Studio Tips.
Today I will show you a tutorial on one of the craziest techniques on writing chords Fast with amazing results without any knowledge of musical theory! Of course, musical theory IS important if you want to have an easier time writing music, but it's not necessary and there are a lot of artists that do not know any music theory at all.
This technique will show you a totally different world on writing chords & progressions, changing your harmonies & melodies in a matter of one click. There is literally no need to know anything, it's just the simple 6 steps that I show in the video. You basically won't be able to fail using this concept.
I haven't seen a video about that yet so I'm sure you will like this one.

This is just one of many powerful features FL's piano roll can provide. This is what sets FL Studio apart from other DAWs.
Yea true, I switched to Ableton. But I think nothing can beat FL's piano roll
@@da4mula885 and how was it? I tried to switch to Live to have a workflow more organized but it killed my creativity and the piano roll was a horrible experience and I'll back to FL.
@@careunobeats4646 for me, it just made a lot more sense. I'm already quite experimental and FL just makes me lose focus. With Ableton I felt like I just suddenly 'got it'.
Yea the piano roll kinda sucks, but it has its own tricks. For example, you can fill in the notes from your scale and move it to the left (before your melody). If you than click fold you'll only see notes in scale. You can then simply fill in chords that'll always be on scale. Also it has MIDI-effects you can use instead of changing the notes to do it.
But Im thinking about maybe sometimes use fl to make MIDI's for melodies or make small loops and just export to Ableton.
Ableton 11 has better piano roll than fl. Not only are there ghost notes now but you can actually edit them all at one time unlike fl studio. Additionally it has built in scales, mpe control, and a fold button which only allows notes youve used or in your scale. Fl studio is a childs toy compared to ableton. Way too many windows, unnecessary routing, unnecessary switching tools to accomplish simple tasks. Fl workflow is actually aids in comparison

This is brilliant. It actually solidifies my music theory. It's important to learn new techniques. Music theory is actually makes things easier so it's not something to shy away from. Knowledge is power.

This is probably one of the better videos I’ve seen. While I don’t really have trouble coming up with good chords normally, it does take thought and more importantly time to do. I can see how something like this would be useful not just in saving time, but also inadvertently coming up with unintended (but good) chord arrangements.

The 'piano roll' is definitely the most powerful FL's tools to create without nothing
Haha yeah. I just bought a Minifreak Synth and Fl Studio and was excited to combine them. I ended up using the piano roll 90% of the time.
