Wow, you are on of the few "FL Studio Tips Guys" that actually bring up very useful stuff, I've never heard about, even with years of experience with FL, don't regret my sub!
Everytime I think that you've showed us everything, you always come back with some even crazier tips. I always feel like a total beginner in FL whenever I watch your videos, despite having many years of experience. Insane work.
The Infinite 808s & the new sidechain technique is a lifesaver! Also, after watching this video, I got to memorize the keyboard shortcuts because I am still missing out on so many features offered by FL.
There’s so many people out there recycling “tips” that everyone already knows. I’m always hyped when you release a new video because I know that all your information is fresh. You always show stuff that gets us thinking in new ways!
I’m new to FL studio and I’ve been binge watching a lot of FL tutorial videos. I learned a few things by accident that no one I watched had mentioned. It’s not anything like this video but still makes things a bit quicker. Instead of right clicking and scrolling to auto name your tracks, you can just drag your midi or audio sample directly on top of the track title area and it will name it automatically that way. Also you can instantly scroll to any part of your track by holding CTRL (control) and clicking the song position bar, which is located right under the play button. (Pretty sure you guys know where that is already lol) One more thing I learned by accident was that if you hold shift while in the piano roll, you can click and drag your cursor across the control area and it will make the velocity level, pitch level, etc. be the same on every note. Some/most people might already know these tips, but I’m leaving them here for anyone who hasn’t already learned about them. Never know when a noob like me is watching lol Anyway, thank you for this awesome video. The tip about the drums in piano roll was my favorite.
If you dial back the release knob on the limiter you can shorten the time it takes for the 808 to come back in you don’t gotta add all that fruity balance extra stuff
FINALLY I get to get rid of the waveforms in my midi even though I'm too lazy to google it. I love videos like this btw., there's so many parts of our process we don't even think to experiment with, so many little things we'll tell ourselves we'll look into later and then forget. Right click + typing is totally gonna save me time and annoyance here and there trying to get certain plugins I sometimes kinda lose track of, even little things like that go a long way. Here's a tip: Make patcher versions of your favorite chain presets and ways you route the mixer! More flexible, faster AND more compact.
Damn bro, @1:16 is what I've been looking for so long. I almost spent way too much money on Melodyne to turn drum breaks to midi. Thank you for this tip! I haven't seen this in any other FL video
These tricks r so bizarre some times they make me feel like I never used FL STUDIO .... Thanks for yo pro n executive acknowledgement sharing bro ... 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
Gotta admit, when you did the sidechain automation thing I was like "whatever, both ways are valid" but then you dropped the step sequencer BOMB. Thank you!
Btw a good tip, sidechaining with Fruity Love Philtet is extremely underrated and noone talks about it, you just open the plugin and turn the filter off and set the vol envelope as loop and modify its curve
I liked what you did with the fruity balance automation on the 808, to give the kick space. You can also use the low end EQ on the 808(on the same spot as the highest kick's peak), and link it to your kick's peak controller while choosing "inverted" under the mapping formula, and typing "0.5-Input" (while linking your 808 lows to controller, under remote control settings) this will decrease the 808 whenever the kick comes in. The thing about this method, at least for me, is that you can decrease just the right amount, on the right low range, to give the kick it's needed stage, without totally killing the 808 on these couple of milliseconds.
at 4:42 Hold Shift and M then push down Mouse Wheel and roll it to change Velocity of Random Notes, then hold Shift and roll mouse wheel without rolling it to change position
I have always had a problem with the limiter technic ,and I've always wanted a better way to sidechain, you saved my life with this new technic, thank you so much. you are a genius! 5:44
I had nooo idea that you could trigger automation within automation clips using midi, that one blew my mind. It's so obvious you can do that, yet I never even bothered to try it... mind officially blown, thanx!
The “new side chain technique” is so much more. I had no idea you could trigger an autoMation clip that way. Makes perfect sense, but wouldn’t have thought to try it. Very cool.
First time in my life i feel not being cheated by the title of a video. After almost a decade i learned that much about FL and this really blown my mind! Sub confirmed
I used to side chain with Fruity Limiter. Then I bought Kickstart. Now, for some reason, I can't open Kickstart anymore, so I just automate the volume. It sounds better than anything else.
Changing your keyboard to have all keys be in key is genius,is it only C that can be the root note and ill transpose everything later for a different key or is it also selectable?
You always make me question my knowledge. I've been an FL studio user for 8 years now, but I always focused on external plugins. It's amazing what you can do with stock ones...
That sidechain technique is a gamechanger. I've been using grossbeat to have that control, meaning creating one you like, then making it a preset and applying the same preset to all the sounds I wanted to "sidechain" (not technically a sidechain, but sounds like it). This is going to save both time and CPU
How are these guys not at multi million subs? You guys know your stuff not just with mixing which is alot but FL and how to use it in a way that's crazy. I'm a long time reason user but I'm trying to not buy FL due to money but i'm struggling haha
Sorry to ruin the 444 comment count but I gotta give praise cause since a noob I been learning shit from his account and every year he just poppin out with more and more tips and tricks I woulda never knew existed. All beginners get beside him on here and IG.
Man just mastered a whole fl studio than the developers itself😂

That kick sidechain thing is a lifesaver

Crazy Guy! So much Love for your work 🙏🏼🤍
The sidechain trick can be useful to create "ghost notes" to duck reverb and delay. I'll use it for sure :)
Exactly...
Works Easier, faster, gives more control and cpu saving.
The sidechain trick is mind blowing 🤯 will save lots of time.

The tip at 5:19 as I was watching it I literally made a surprised Pikachu face - brilliant. Looking forward to using this one.
This is the only channel that says “mind blowing” and means it

That side chain technique is absolutely god tier....really captures the open creativeness of "New formula - same answer" that is FL Studio 😌
We def need that instrument from any sample video asap🔥🔥🔥🔥
I have always had a problem with the limiter technic ,and I've always wanted a better way to sidechain, you saved my life with this new technic, thank you so much. you are a genius! 5:44
@Cris an even better way would be to just use Fruity Envelope Controllers, which were designed for this purpose
They add delay, be careful. At least last time I used them sidechain kicks in a bit later than sample
Thank you for these tips.
I appreciate your channel💯.

I used to side chain with Fruity Limiter. Then I bought Kickstart. Now, for some reason, I can't open Kickstart anymore, so I just automate the volume. It sounds better than anything else.
That kick synth idea you had is used heavily in the song the kick by Maurice West, super cool
That song in the end was just 🔥🔥!!! Are you gonna make a course on Bass House?? 👁️👄👁️
2 minutes in and im amazed! thank you!!
Finally someone that actually helps and gives the fucking key.
Wow you read the FL studio Bible decades ago n revised it .love it!
I feel like beginner now
Bro you’re a fucking beast for the sidechain tip holy shit my jaw literally dropped
Using the fruity balance for sidechaining was such a game changer when I learned about it
I'm honestly speechless. Amazing Video
Using Step Sequencer on an Automation channel? Now that's a plus point for FL Studio programming and more points to you dude for sharing! Thanks!
