Your looking in the wrong place
Its been 2 yrs , how r u now? Became a pro already?
Herringbone fabric handwraps has been working for me soooo good lately. Is not for fragile skin, though. I've been trying a lot of brands, I'd say Twins are my fav. For some light work, handwraps and knuckle pads. Gel gloves wont last too much in my experience. Great explanation and review as always, Carlo!
Thanks
Rival sells a really good "quick wrap" padding similar to the winning (except a dense foam, not gel). I like them a lot because of the shape/coverage they provide.
I’ve seen those and plan on trying them out
I was planning on getting quick wraps, I like how your demo displayed how loose the wrist support was with them. Definitely gonna stick with the Mexican Wraps and maybe try adding gel for the knuckles.
Yeah the quick wraps are convenient for light work, the wrist support sucks, so any kind of heavy training I would go with standard wraps.
Yeah almost all "quick wrap" models are lacking in wrist support.
You could add some 108" (women/child size) wraps over the quickwraps and focus most of it on the wrists/thumb.
It’s not a quick-wrap, but the Rival gel wraps are gel gloves with 200’’ wraps attached. Only problem I had was that it was a little bulky so it was harder to get my gloves on, but they’re fantastic otherwise lol
@@patrickhart2483 would you recommend the 180" ones?
csquaredboxing yeah I use quick wraps and after a few rounds on the heavy bag, it gets a little loose around my wrists.
I've been swearing by Sanabul hand wraps for a month, very supportive
In México you will see almost everybody use wraps made with elastic gauze (designed for médical use not boxing, so they dont have velcro ) its pretty cheap and selled in all drug stores, one roll its about 10 pesos (50 cents of dollar)can last 1 or 2 months washing it by hand.
you do not throw it away after boxing?
@@LordLobov no just ventilate and expose to the sun, you Can wash it around 3 times, usually mine last 1 month doing that, there are different from the ones used for a professional match that consiste in gauze and tape and it for 1 use only
@@LordLobov it's kinda scratchy though and uncomfortable, haven't used them in years. Just get one of these in the video, you'll like it more.
Wow.. never heard of the fortress wraps!!
Might be a life changer !
Hope they’ll fit underneath 4oz gloves.. or might try to buy new ones but sizing up..
Yeah, definitely a cool product!
I know this is an old video but my vote is the Fortress T1's. I tried them about 8 months ago and I haven't used anything else in training since. Not because they're fast, it's a plus... but it's the most protective and consistent hand protection I've ever used.
Where can I order them in the US?
@@lonewolflifestyle7141 just learn how to wrap your hands correctly. Those handwraps aren’t worth the price tag at all. I see how they can be useful for beginners, but once you learn how to throw punches correctly and learn how to wrap your hands there’s really no point in spending $90 for special handwraps. Also hand protection is more about the boxing gloves you’re using and less about the handwraps (once you learn how to properly wrap.) Also if you plan on competing definitely use regular handwraps or gauze, because the difference in feel from special wraps like that and the gauze you have to use when competing can definitely throw you off, and effect how your punches feel.
Quickwraps in the gym for boxing cardio session and weights and classic wraps for the boxing gym
Yup!
I use 2x mexican style on each hand. The first one does the job of those 100 bucks wraps and gel. The second one cements everything and does the thumb protection. Feels like a cast, you just need to find the right tension as you do not want to cut circulation.
Thanks for sharing your setup
I do the same but one long one one short
Big ups! Very informative :)
thanks
Great job. This helped a lot thank you so much:)))
No prob
I use the winning knuckle pads and 180’ hand wraps. Might invest in quick hand wraps
Yeah they’re nice for convenience or back up wraps
Have you ever used boxraw wraps? I recently got a pair. Very light, soft and thin. The velcro part is reinforced with rubber material and they stretch just enough because a lot of those traditional ones are way too stretchy to my liking. They sometimes cut circulation so you gotta adjust. Boxraws are $13 plus shipping so maybe its worth it to get something else besides the wraps. Their Hugler rubber suit looks cool.
I haven’t yet maybe sometime in the future
I got two boxraw and they are very comfortable. However mind them when you wash them, the colour fades bit easily
Excellent review
Thanks

would you say the quick wraps are good for use in mma ?
Winnings are amazing ! I bought 3 pairs after the review
Cool!
Do you know when I could find wraps like the fortress ones?
Could you please make a list of best mouth guards for boxing. I go heavy sparring and breathing is extremely challenged with my guard. Is there a good one, protective but also breathable?
Ok will do
Awesome videos! Really been helping me get into boxing training late in life!
I'd love your opinion on if there is a wrap or even a way to wrap my wrist for extra support? I have a wrist injury that will need surgery, but until then, a good wrap has taken away any pain I've had while hitting a 70lb bag full power. But for me I really really need guidance on how to protect my wrist more than my knuckles at the moment. If you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks for the great content !
The best way to add wrist support is to use tape to tape off your wrist prior to putting on the wrap. This will make it more secure and give it a cast like feel.
@@csquaredboxing ur the man! Thanks for the quick reply!
What about Liberlupus wraps? semi elastic and good wraps $5.99 Amazon
nice and detailed vid :)
Thanks
I was wondering if the hand wraps will make my gloves too small(they are 14oz). Btw I’m a beginner boxer, and love your content. New subscriber 🙂
Thank you, it just depends on the glove honestly. Some fit more snug than others but you should always wrap your hands
Where can I get the t1 wraps in the US ? The website is in pounds I believe …
40. Broke my wrist when I was 29. It never ever healed correctly. Still can't bend at all. So I NEED wrist support!!!! Wraps+gloves?
What’s your opinion on rival boxing gloves especially the rb10 and rb11 I have both btw but I will test them out soon
Both great gloves, I did reviews on them check them out when you get a chance
I had some ringside wraps. After 4 months or so they were messy. I took decent care tho so idk
Yeah, the material wont last forever, at least they are inexpensive.
Carlo, Quick question do you think the Fortress Boxing PE/ SS Fastwraps will fit rivals rb11 (Large)? Have you tried it on those gloves? what's your take? Thank you!
It will definitely be a tight fit
can you guys reccomend me a really elastic hand wrap?
This may be a silly question, but these wraps will prevent my knuckles from breaking open right ?
Somewhat, it also depends on how you wrap them and the angle of your punches
I used to use ducktape when I was a kid but I want actual wraps now but I still prefer to have basically no stretch thing is I've never used regular hand wraps just ducktape
👍🏼🥊
If only I had known that quick wraps where for light training
Hello I’m a beginner and it’s been 1 week since I joined the boxing gym. I’m planning on getting one of the Mexican wraps. Does the 180 inch work on all people? I have a relatively smaller hands.
Yes it does
Thank you.
You’re welcome
god this video is perfect
Thanks
Came back because it was just that good!!!
Question, would be great to get an opinion....I do not own a punching bag but I own gloves. I cannot hang a punching bag anywhere on my property and at the moment cannot afford a standing bag..What can I punch to practice that can substitute a punching bag? This would be great if there was a substitute.
I would maybe look for some used tires and connect them with chains for a punching bag
My ghetto set up is I have an orange rubber construction cone that I attach via bungee cord to a stop sign. It’s definitely not the way to go, but it’s all I got atm
Adam Klem that’s dope. I’m gonna try that.
A post like the ones in you house
shouldnt go hard on it you could hurt your hands
The t1 fastwraps came a LONG way, way better now.
I ordered those ringside quickwarps and I was pretty disappointed. Nice knuckle protection, but zero wrist support. Why they designed it the way they did, I'll never understand. There's no way to get a tight wrap around the wrist. Not enough velcro if you want to wrap it tighter.
Perhaps I just needed a smaller size. Not sure.
What do you think of non stretchy handwraps?
Not a fan, doesn’t conform to your hands as well as the stretchy type
One tip I have for people is to never buy the red colored wraps. They will bleed dye forever. I like 180 inch Mexican style wraps. Get them in a color like black or white. Wash after every wear using a mesh laundry delicates bag.
And also, some guys stuff so much material into their wraps that they can’t make a tight fist. If you do that, you risk injuring your hands as well. I’ve seen some guys like recommend sticking grips bars and sponges into the wraps...wtf? You’re wearing a glove on your hand on top of the wraps. There is no reason to be stuffing your wraps with all that extra stuff.
Excellent advice and yes too much material is a no-no. That’s why I don’t like the wrapping techniques that end up putting a bunch of the wrap on the palm side of the hand, just bad form and you can’t properly roll your fingers to make a tight fist.
How often should I wash them if I use them 3-4 times a week? 🤷♂️
Every other week or as needed
What are some good hand wraps for shadow boxing and heavy bag?
Fortress boxing T1
you have so many gloves only use ringside handwrap ? i bought 5 years ago ringside mexican hand wraps it was amazing i bought mexican hand wraps again completely different and lower quality
👍🏼
Could I ask how long this winning knuckle guards can be used?
All depends on how often you use it, thats hard to say as it’s different for everyone
@@csquaredboxing thank you. I will use 1hour/day
Getting that fortress. Mexican wraps are a pain in the you know what. It’s rolled the wrong way, Velcro on the wrong side...start over. Velcro catches the fabric and basically rips it. It’s such a pain. Can’t wait for my onx gloves to arrive. No more wraps
Sweet man hope you like your new gloves
Camelflage is also not a wors. Camo-flage
I like ringside Mexican and title.
👍🏼🥊
How much is 180 inches in Meters?
Google it
ringside mexican is my favorite. keep away venum

Why??? I was planning to by venum handwraps

Which had wraps do you recommend for heavy bags?
Standard Mexican wraps with a knuckle pad if need be
What are 187 hand wraps?
180 inch
those fortress wraps are nice, too bad i cant aford them 😜
Wu Tang Clan yep they are nice and I can buy them I have the money but I don’t know maybe later but not right now I don’t think it’s worth it for me right now
Your thoughts on Leroy authentic Mexican hand wraps?
Very nice wraps if used properly
14:06 Thumb in? For real?
Question Venum elite or the impact gloves I’m wondering did you know of any differences or recommendations
you should buy leather boxing gloves venum all product good but it is expensive if venum product discount you can buy otherwise you can buy same price leather boxing gloves
I have venum impact, they are good and well made with decent padding and air ventilation, I would go for a good leather gloves wish I knew before buying the venums, my next gloves are definitely the hayabusa t3 or newer if they will have
you can buy fairtex bgv1 instead of venum impact
Bro just get some dam gloves , less talky more boxy
Anyone else having a problem with the ring side hand wraps being way too long for any wrapping?
When he said UK I thought of KSI
Lol
Is that paper tape?
Medical tape
u can't spend 1 min just for wrapping ur hand ,how busy u could be??
Too damn busy!
Irregardless isnt a word
