If you really want to fix your wrists permanently you should add a wrist bulletproofing routine. Back when I did boxing and just got started I had real bad wrist pain but once I started incorporating wrist stretching and strengthening excercises all issues stopped. Fitness FAQ's has a good video on wrist strengthening for calisthenics, but it works great for boxers as well. Watch some other videos too and take the best part from all of them to create your own routine.

Tony I get so much value out of your channel I really feel like I owe you one! Started boxing recently and hurt my left wrist with a bad hook I threw and then hurt it again at the next session with a bad left uppercut as well. Was considering stopping for a few weeks to let it heal up, but instead I'll try taping and wrapping my wrists like this, as I know straight punches don't hurt my wrists, just when I tweak it on a bad hook or uppercut. This will give me some confidence I can train still and keep working on my technique in class while giving my wrist a break to heal. Thanks Tony! 👊🏻

I probably should’ve searched this up before punching trees with duck tape and boxing gloves. I broke every knuckle and even sprained my wrist so bad to where every time I pick something up it ached. Luckily my knuckles doubled in size and I’m now punching a bag or bob………. With no hand wraps

Thaanks so much for this in depth video Tony! I hurt my wrist doing uppercuts and hooks, I tend to punch with my thumb sometimes in the straight punches, any potential video you could make on why that is and how to avoid it?

Great video as always coach. Would love a video or two about basic mechanics of throwing uppercuts and hooks, and how to throw them properly.
I also wouldn't be mad at a long form video of you just saying everything you know about the jab, lecture style.

    Great video.
I noticed that you didn’t go through the fingers with the wrap. How do you keep the wrap in position when sliding in/out of the glove if you don’t go through the fingers/ knuckles to secure the wrap in place.
    Thanks coach !

i saw that you injured your hand in a competition, and that injury has stopped you for next fights, but made you a better trainer, who did a great tip for preventing this common injury
