  • This is a tutorial by Kru Vivek Nakarmi, Head Instructor at Pentagon Mixed Martial Arts, on wrapping your hands from an angle that allows you to follow along seamlessly. Please note this style of hand wrap is not for use in competition. There are many ways to wrap hands, but we have found this to be one of the simplest and most effective for beginners and intermediates who are not sparring just yet.
*Hand wrap length used in this video is 180 inches. They are available for purchase at our Pro Shop: pentagonmmaproshop.com/collec....

    Steps
    1. Wrap around back of wrist x3
    2. Over thumb (from back)
    3. Go back towards lateral (outer) wrist
    4. Wrap wrist again one more time (slightly above wrap from step 1)
    5. Create half x by going towards lateral (outer) knuckle and wrap knuckles x3
    6. Complete x from medial (inner) knuckle to lateral wrist
    7. Bring wraps up in between each finger, each time bringing the wrap to medial (inner) wrist
    8. Wrap around the wrist one more time
    9. Create half x and wrap knuckles like in step 5 (wrap knuckles as many times as wrap lengths allow, usually x1-3)
    10. Complete half x like in step 6
    11. Use remaining wrap to reinforce wrist
