I wrapped my hands with the wrap pad for the first time and I don’t know why, but my hands and wrists just didn’t feel very secure. Later than training session I ended up hurting my right wrist. From then on I did a modified version of the basic method and never had any problems and it felt way more secure. Wrapping hands seems to be very subjective, what works for one guy might not work for the next. I have very strong dense knuckles so I’m not worried about them breaking, but my wrist is a bit weaker so I need the wrist support.
Thak you so much. In my case I dont use wrap hands for boxing but for my day to day. My wrists are very fragile and I tend to sufer from open wrists and sometimes tendinitis. As an artist I can't cope with constant injury in my "tools". My hands are very tiny, have atopic skin and bad circulation so common protective wristbands aren't for me since wearing them cause me pain (and in many cases the seams make wounds) A few months ago I started bandaging my wrists and hands and my injuries decreased considerably. It was marvelous although I had to change bandages pretty often and throw the old ones away. Which wasn't ideal. Then I discovered that hand wraps are a thing. Now I can be in total control of the presure, form, fabric wrinkles, etc. I learned a lot in your video and it give me the information I needed to adapt this for myself. Again, thenk you so much.
Thank you, bro.I'm actually using this to wrap my hand as i'm at a mountain bike park and I need to protect A hand that might have been refractured. I still need to ride, believe it or not. This is actually a great solution. Thank you for posting this.
Thank you!!! This was so helpful. Most videos are like "here's a 10 sec speed demonstration with me talking super fast and being completely ambiguous about how and why I'm doing anything"
I love this video so much, the way you show different methods, explain the science and reasons to wearing the hand wraps, using knuckleguards/extra padding...all around great video
Thank you SO much, I just learned how to wrap my hands efficiently with the standard wrap you displayed. I might learn others, but this one felt perfect right away and I'm gonna try to master this one so its fast. Thanks so much again. 2 Years late haha
The GOAT of boxing gear is back at it with another fucking banger video. I learn so much every time I watch your videos, I’m actually blown away that u don’t have over a thousand subs. Keep up the great content bro
Ima big fan of knuckle guards . Unless your a pro and have the coach willing to wrap your hands with gauze and tape it’s the only way you can get legit hand wrapping with good knuckle protections . Love the Magic Eraser típ I’ll use that instead of dropping another $30 on NG2’s
First time watching a video on hand wrapping today which was the second method used. For me by the looks of it the first seems better but will try them all
I don't know if the eraser one is FIGHT LEGAL, but honestly I love them all, the sport is essentially beating each other up so a lot of boxers get creative like this, love it. I live in a country with no specialty equipment in general (hard to find sport equip, computer parts, defense gear, blades, etc), and nothing like Walmart, so I wrap with t shirts and practice tech bare knuckle, at least until I can order some wraps!
Thank you for this video. Your channel is such a great resource for getting started in boxing. What hand measurement would you consider "smaller" for using shorter wraps? I'm at 7.25". I'm generally smaller at 5'2" and 120lb. Should I try some shorter wraps or stick with 180?
everyone of these guys just makes this up as they go. i've seen 10 different ways of wrapping. they all come down to (1) stabilize the wrist, (2) hold you hand bones together and (3) pad the knuckles a little.
Nice i also enjoy your reviews especially on topboxer, but is it just me (especially now that I’m spending more time on youtube) but I’ve noticed Ambra leroys are the best hand wraps no one talks about.
First of all. Great content bro. Do you also tried this Fortress t1 fastwrap? And mate I have a question for a dream scenario. Which gloves do you would use and which do you acutually use (not speaking about brands). Let me tell my story first: First of all, I am super heavyweight so my amateur competion gloves are 12oz The most important thing ist he safety for maximum training, someone who is injured your partner or yourself cant train at the highest levelt hats why Sparring: 18 oz with extra soft padding and maximum protection (as I said safety, but also conditioning and avoid 20oz or higher that I avoid bad habbits bc oft he to heavy glove) Sparring: 14oz with extra soft padding when we come more near to competion Pad/Mits/ bag work on speed & accuarcy: 12oz mid to hard + protective (bc of competion weight/sitze) and mix it up with 10oz hard (for more speed training + double endball/cobra) & 14 oz hard padding ( for better conditioning ) but its still near tot he competion ones so I get a good form. (a study said thats the most effectiv train to use 20% + - bc to less or to much weight will make your form bad) Bag gloves: Which one you would take?
You might want to look into using 120 inch wraps OR support your knuckles or wrist more by using what you have left around the tender spots of your hands
I appreciate this video. Most on here are “this is the ONLY way to wrap” and sells a single brand. This is actually informative. Thanks
I’m 43 I started boxing for stamina and stress release, I wanna thank you for this video. You helped me a lot.

I’ve been doing the wrap pad and taping my wrist for a little extra support lately. Works perfectly!!
Best tutorial ever bless you brother 🫡
Bless you as well my dude!

Dude, i saw some of your videos and the way you explain it is so simple. Keep this format on, it is the most useful for people.
Thank you!!! This was so helpful. Most videos are like "here's a 10 sec speed demonstration with me talking super fast and being completely ambiguous about how and why I'm doing anything"

have you tried the magic eraser in the meantime?
I'm currently using NG2s myself. I'm going to feel like a moron if Magic Erasers are better.
i personally do the wrap pad ... and seems like its working pretty good actually. Never tought about the sponge tho. Great video!

I usually stick to 180 but I would try 120 if you want
Perfect video !!

what is the best way for muay thai gloves, please? (I have both yokkao matrix 10 ouncers for bag and pads, and I have yokkao wraps too)
Awesome vid, thanks a lot
found out the Magic Eraser wont move anyways, no need to go between the fingers. that way you can position it better
really helpful video
hey man love the videos
could you do a review on the rdx t12 alone boxing gloves please??
finnaly someone knows

what is the name of the intro song? 0:00
Vampire weekend A Punk
What size were the hand wraps you used in the video? 180 or 210?
My hands are too small and I have like 2 feet or more left over for the first method what do I do?
You might want to look into using 120 inch wraps OR support your knuckles or wrist more by using what you have left around the tender spots of your hands
Does Method 1 protect the bones in your hands (other than your knuckles) better than Method 2?
Great video new sub
Good

What about boxing tape?
Athletic tape works great with gauze absolutely
The first wrap is pointless because the gloves already have a grip bar, so now it makes it more difficult to make a proper fist, 2 grips bars
AGREED but it's something people do so I showed it
but were can I get a mr. Clean magic erasers
Anyone else having difficulty getting the time stamps to wrap around your hands? ;)
6 min for first wrapppp ggggaaaawwdddd
I leaned how to box without raps or gloves. I just raped my hands god that helps so much
It's not polyurethane it's melamine way cheap to buy "melamine sponges" over "Mr clean magic erasers" trust me I'm bald I would know
Too much talk my friend
