If Nissan is going to continue the titan. They need to keep the V8. A lot Toyota owners are unhappy with the new Tacoma/tundra. This is Nissan chance to the spotlight with the frontier and titan. The frontier is actually gaining popularity because so many Tacoma owner are switching over. Nissan needs to MARKET the titan better. Stay awayyyyyyy from turbos, the only thing Nissan has going from them is that the drivetrain is simple!

It isn't that simple. EPA wants this crap. That old tundra put out some of the worst NOX emissions of an truck.EPA are worried about NOX emissions. These companies like toyota and nissan like to keep using what works. Same with honda. They have been forced to start changing. Only reason chevy is able to keep their v8 is due to using the cylinder deactivation bs. Half of the time, they're in 4 cylinder mode and letting iff less NOX. Sad part is they are junk lifters. Chevy shouldnt be using that system. It has been failing for 15 yr. We are screwed lol

It's hard to find lift kits, headlights, Superchargers and other cool stuff for it if at all. It just doesn't have the support even Toyota gets with their Tacoma or Tundra and they both suck by comparison. I do hope they keep the V8 maybe bring it back with more power and add that V6 Twin Turbo to the line up as an other engine choice. I also LOVE the steering shifter and just feels more of a traditional truck compared to the other big 3. This is Nissan's chance to take advantage of the fact the Tundra is doing bad reputation wise as well as the other big 3. Well have to see how the RAM does with that new Hurricane engine reliability but if Nissan can gurry up amd take advantage of the situation they can make a big comeback

I prefer the frontier, but we have dogs and need to pull a camper so full sized what we needed. I don't think price was the issue with the Titan. Even fully loaded, it comes in far less than the comparable from the big 3. Marketing and support was the problem. Everyone assumes American trucks are the "real trucks" and that Nissan could not possibly make a good one. Nissan allowed doubt to remain the minds of consumers despite the fact that the 5.6 v8 in the titan is one of the best truck engines out there. Nissan and all the other "truck" makers need to get off the stick and offer cheaper alternative trucks. $50K+ for other than luxury trucks is a non starter for most families - and only the wealthy or business (that can write off the cost) can afford these. For Nissan, I'd like to see them come out with a junior version of the Frontier - and offer it with a 4 cylinder engine - like the earlier hard body models. Our local dealer (Toyota) has a lot full of Tundras ($60 - $70K) that are not selling - wonder why?

I agree with the lack of advertising. They really did not support the truck at all! At this point, I don’t think they would even have to put much R&D into it. They could keep the same body style as the 24 - maybe slight interior update and just mate the new turbo 6 onto the existing 9spd.
