#nissan #patrol #review
I'm a Landcruiser owner, and I have to say, I really like this new Patrol. It now looks modern and premium - both inside and out. Shame the price has gone up. but I think it will still give the LC300 a real run for its money. IMO, it is now a true alternative to the LC300. This could bring back the old days when LandCruiser & Patrol where dicing it not only on the sales charts, but also on the track.
I have both mate and a well put together patrol will out perform any cruiser off road but a cruiser is a a better put together vehicle, I prefer my GU to a 100 series.
But I prefer my 200 to my old Y62 so will see how this goes V the 300 series but I think Nissan will win this one based on the performance figures. Hopefully the air suspension isn’t like a rover.
To much crap on it. I'll stick with the y61 for now.
The diesel vs petrol argument still comes into play unfortunately. Diesel gives better range and petrol lesser emissions but this decision will reflect the cost of ownership.
Now even pricing will be equal.
Why would you buy a GR LC300 or a Patrol for $160k when you can buy a HD American truck with better fuel economy and more luxury plus space.
Think they have priced themselves out market.
I agree. I test drove a 300 Cruiser and that made me by a Patrol. But the Cruiser interior is much better, until now.
As a Japanese I am so jealous. We do not have this car in Japan. What a car. Impressive!
but why? LC 300 and Prado 250 is there, but y not this Y63 patrol? u japanese people made this beast!
@@Ezone_X I want to have that question to Nissan😂 here in Japan, Nissan does not offer big size SUV. So no Murano, no Pathfinder, no Patrol/Armada, and no Infiniti cars. X-trail is the biggest car we have. Nissan sells really limited numbers of models in Japan so people who wants large SUVs we mostly go to German brands…
Won’t fit in Tokyo 😂. Shame tho
Mate your easily pleased, wake up to yourself clown
Hey Nissan.
Finally.
Great design.
Great power.
Great interior.
Now, was that too hard?
We are now ready to buy.
Agreed, looks 😎
The problem is every body wants this along with its reliability. What if the reliability ends up a complete disaster like the Toyota v35a engine?
@fakenews3676 nissan has the best v6 engine, tbh u can u push them 2000hp with out going billet block
The Jetco gearbox is probably not gonna last
Ready to buy but Nissan isn't ready to sell. 2026 is still a long time away. Sheesh, way to dampen your launch, Nissan.
These are going to be everywhere, I'm calling it now
Not at these prices!
No just to expensive
@@littlewink7941Here at the UAE, They don’t care about the prices they buy nissan patrols as soon as they come out
They can’t really do much about it. Inflation is fucking it up for everyone across the world. Blame the politicians.
@@littlewink7941 *YOU* can't afford it
Finally new patrol. Nissan really doing great job here i love it
I know right. Because the previous new model looked dated the second it came out. This is much better
Australian version will come with a tape player
Not that would be cutting edge for us 😂
8 trac all the way!
No it will have a discman
😂😂so true
hahhaahahahah
Can't believe how good this turned out!
BOT BOT BOT BOT BOT BOT BOT BOT BOT BOT BOT
I can't believe how expensive it is
I actually prefer the older model. This new one just looks like the new yukon or tahoe. What I loved most about the 2024 mode is how unique it was. Now this one looks like a mix of a bunch of SUVs.
Amazing job getting all those pictures before the crowds hit, thank you!
The interior and exterior look amazing, and I am glad they are still giving you some time to buy the V8 Y62.
Always dreamed of having a patrol and now i want one even more 😍
Looks like a proper weapon! Piano black buttons etc is a terrible idea 🫣
Lc250 + GX550 + Range rover Vibes 🎉
right! and with the size of Tahoe/Sequioa.
Congratulations, it's a very nice car. I shared it at the request of the viewers, there was a lot of demand for this car🎉
Look forward to this still being the current model in 2040
These will be sold in huge demand in the Middle East regions.
because they have absolutely no emissions standards, they do not care about the environment.
@@erker6423
No because they are rich and they do more for the environment even in the desert better than some other countries.
@@erker6423 people a still so delusional that think car emissions is the factor hurting the environment lol.
@@rc70ys anyone who can afford to pay for the internet can also pay for a loan for this car.
@@rc70ys you don't have to be rich to afford this car.
No doubt a good car .. just looks to urban for me . Grabbing 4 mates for off-road bash in the now $160k patrol … doesn’t sit like it used too
When did bush bashing in a $160k vehicle ever sit well?
@@grunkalunka3449Millionaires and billionaires in the Middle East love these cars. They gladly take them off roading with their entourage.
Who goes bush bashing in a 160k ute? just those that can afford one I suppose?
They snuck Mitsubishi logos onto the seat leather
Might be affordable second hand with 250000 kms on it
Now the v8 might be affordable lmao
Might have to get import one when the desert people have finished with them. The rich oil barons buy them a dozen at a time .
@@Rusty_Gold85 sure thing man already ordered a bakers dozen of em
As if it’s going to survive for that long 😂
It’s petrol, it’ll be dead by 250,000ks
The legend is back 👍
It’s beautiful! They just announce the release of the Pro4x Armada here in the states. So we finally have a proper off roader North American variant of the Patrol with a locking rear diff. Still don’t have the front fridge or any of the new features like the air compressor in the rear but it’s a start.
They put the fridge in the Infiniti QX80 version.
Attention everyone!!!!
Sell your pets as we need to save up for this beauty.
We have 2 years.
Time starts…NOW!
It has a seat massage!!!
Not even my wife does that.
Also, the seat will help us forget our PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)
due to price and our pet!
Thank you Nissan. ❤
This is truly ground breaking for Nissan. Hopefully it will be well received in South Africa as well.
Great first look and review, owning an LX600S V6 3.4 petrol since 2022 can see Nissan have really improved their dashboard, infotainment system and interior. First look appears light years ahead of the LX. Listened closely to market feedback and trends, added features missing from the LX, massage seats, adjustable rear seats (sorely missed). 2026 ideally timed at 300 series Toyota or Lexus owners looking to trade, plus some time to get out new model bugs.
Hope they sell a less gadgety version. So many electronics on modern cars.
Unfortunately, the gadgets are now forced on us. Not to mention the turbo as the only option. The NA 3.8 is definitely going to be more reliable, and they don't want to mess with that legendary status in the Arab country.
Finally the car that have it all🎉🎉🎉
How do you think it compares to the 2025 Yukon Denali? Currently have my eyes set on that but have been holding out to see the Y63.. LC300 is already outdated for the price point.
In that grey colour, absolutely beautiful!!!
Now, I am confused between the black and grey. I think I will get the grey, will still need to see it in black.
2026!! Shows ya how much they think of us 😂😅
Yeah, I thought the same. "2026! Really?!"
I don't know if there is any RHD market Y63 will launch in other than AU. It's likely not gonna be sold in JP since this vehicle is too large to be financially viable for any buyers there.
Edit: fixed Typo on Y63
The Y62 launch in Australia was delayed by about 2 years as well, so just par for the course from Nissan.
maybe because of being Right Hand Drive market.
Not that surprised as some US based RUclips rs seem to have been given more exclusive access to the "Armada"
This is new G.O.A.T OMG ITS SICK
Will be interesting to see what the new Vehicle Efficiency Standard Act, starting Jan1 2025, we be for a petrol V6. The dealership adding 10K+ onto the drive away price perhaps!?
Nissan patrol is always on point with design. I love it...interior and exterior is pretty cool
So the Y62 will be continuing to arrive here until end of 2026 ? Was that correct ?
I quite like the Mitsubishi badging on the seats. They really should have held that back for the Pajero.
Is the pro4x model going to come to Australia?
All still TBC but most likely.
Loved it! Thanks mate! I guess it’s that time to upgrade my Y62! 😊
Great new car, Nissan finally raised the bar. I can't wait to see your detailed comparison of the new patrol and LC300
Very nice.. will be time to trade in the y62 when this is released… the wife likes the looks of the y63 so guess this will be the upgrade 😅
I love how it's just full of physical buttons. 💯
Probably I will never see one of these here in Germany but this looks so good.
Have they got rid of the foot hand-brake? What colours are the interior coming in hopefully black is an option
I’m absolutely rapt that the Y63 won’t hit aussie shores until 2027. They’re only starting to take orders in late 2026, so give it a year before we see them here. It means that my 2023 Ti-L will still be the current patrol for another 3 years.
I wonder what the Infiniti version will look like.
01:56 It has an 8 seat capacity, not 7, right?
Dont forget guys this is left hand drive...
Even today , Y62 left hand drive interior is much better than Australian version.
They will be the same in this gen
Not necessarily. In South Africa they updated the Y62 interior this year and it's right hand drive
Aesthetically, looks way better than lc300.. just give it the diesel treatment and it’s a no-brainer.
i would bet the lc300 will get the 3.4L twin turbo from the tundra as an option before the patrol gets a diesel option
@@word1901bro its been on the market since 2021 😂
Got be saying the same....the rig looks way better than LC300, yet lack of diesel in this offering dents sales reach in global South and europe
No brains to pay 160k
Wild! Looks like the Y63 would be a big threat to the LC300. The design, I hope, might determine how the next Terra might look like.
Looks very nice IMO. 100% better looking than the abomination that's the Prado and the current landbruiser. Good job Nissan. 👍👍👏
Wow this is way better than expected but air suspension and no diesel variant. however, it looks better than competition.
Air suspension is nice but it will be expensive once it breaks down... I hope Nissan will release a new diesel engine for their new Patrol.
Design is on point in every aspect well done Nissan
As a 300 owner this looks good finally up there game, time will tell for now we love the cruiser 79k nit an issue
Thanks Paul.
When are you doing Aussie review of GX550? Saw one on the road yesterday
I have to say that being longer and wider isn’t ideal for those of us who go off-road. They are already appreciably longer and wider than the Landcruiser which is too big at time already. I realise that this won’t be a problem for their main markets. I also hate the push button shifter. But hey, I agree it looks nice inside and out.
I always loved the Patrol over the Land Cruiser
Nissan has COOKED this time!
Initial thoughts
Good
- interior update
- technology
- power
- air compressor inbuilt
- rear locker still
Dubious
- air suspension
- payload decreased
- longer, wider and heavier?? Why Y62 was massive anyway.
- 5 seater option?
- pricing is similar to LC300
According to the brochure the new Patrol uses an EPAS rack. The new Armada also packs an EPAS rack.
Thanks Paul! Awesome, but cant wait for 2026. That’s too long 😅
Nice design. Will give land cruiser a run for its money.
Manifesting this new Nissan patrol 🫰🫰🙏
The interior in the y62 is tragic at best. This is an incredible leap forward. ❤
1:05 is that oil leaked from the car?? 😳
I swear it is hahaha
condensation from the ac hahaha
No its the water from the A/C Bro
What a beautiful suv!
In my country there is nothing more coveted than a land cruiser and a patrol theyre the top vehicles here theyve always been ever since i have memory
Great to see Nissan stuck with an ICE motor 👏👏👏👏
GWM Tank will soon make a replica of this Patrol and advertise it as their state of the art “affordable luxury” urban jungle vehicle. But PRC cars will devalue 75% within a year
Nissan absolutely nailed it with the new Patrol It looks way better outside and especially inside than the Land Cruiser 300. We all know Nissan can build cars that last mechanically with the earlier Patrol´s, it waits to see how the 3.5L Twin Turbo engine and transmission is because they are new. Good news is that the engine is in the same family as the GT-R engine per their own words and that engine as we all know is bombproof. 15 years since that release, I´m sure Nissan has learned a thing or two to make it even better so I have little doubts about the engine being good and reliable. Interesting is the transmission they use. It is the 9-speed from the G-Wagon, but they have reworked it to make it more durable (JATCO) with permission from Mercedes.
This is going to be good! Man, that interior! They REALLY went to work on it. This Patrol finally looks complete!
Looks great and would buy one but $100k to $160k is mind blowing.
Don’t forget our luxury tax, carbon tax, and Albo arse tax 😂
@@aikz5 all three taxes hurt 🤕 😂
Yes. 160k = no sales on Aus
Awesome upload. I'll be placing my order soon for the Y63
Love it!! Bring it to the UK Nissan!!!
sad to see they havent made the rear doors open 90 Degrees like the pathfinder, rogue and qashqai which makes it nice getting in and out...
I just watched Raiti's Ride review on the 2025 Armada and hoped that the Patrol 2025 would look like the same (since it's the American twin brother) and now I am seeing this...I'm glad. virtually and practically the same. I'm in love with the new Nissan Patrol. ❤
I just watched the TFL Off-road review of the 2025 Armada and thought hang on a minute the Patrol hasn’t been revealed yet when Tommy was referring to it and remembered a short from Paul a couple of weeks ago, searched it and I’m here. Shame we won’t see this in the UK!! 🇬🇧 😢
Glad it's almost as big as the American SUVs too
Me too
Gorgeous. Love it. Can't wait until it's available in Australia. Will buy one for sure but still keeping my Black Beauty V8 Y62. Well done Nissan
Good job Nissan great new design❤❤❤
What a premium product preposition for this pristine Nissan Patrol.
It's pretty hard to make a barge look good but they made it work.
GREAT interior. Love the design. Good job Nissan. I like it more than the LandCruiser 300, the interior is better as well IMO. Hopefully is more capable than the previous one and wonder how the warrior version would look. I noticed the US version (Armada) has a Pro4x version that adds more off road goodies, looks amazing that version as well.
Very good size very good design better than new Land Cruiser and new Lexus LX600 100%
I'm contemplating investing some money in these concept cars, However, I'm uncertain about how to minimize potential risks. Any other lucrative business idea will be appreciated.
I've thought about that too, but I'm not sure if they hold value the same way as other investments.
Of course Stock investment has been the most lucrative way to make money and succeed in today's world, no doubt.
Please I'm a novice in the crypto world, how can I make profitable investment as a newbie, what are your strategies?
Indeed these concept cars are really tempting because they're so cool 😎 but I guess the risk is pretty high. But it's smarter to stick with what we're sure will grow over time.
Yea crypto is really dominating the world. I made over a million dollar this year regardless of how bad it gets on the economy.
End of 26!! Why so long? Looks fantastic..
Really like it. Will I trade my Y62? Not sure yet, probably will.
My first 4WD was a Nissan just like the blue one in the background ; back in 1974 and total cost including a steel hardtop: $4445.00!
I had a 1977 G60. Miss that beast. Paid $AU 3,000 for it back in 1988.
Cant wait to see what Dash and the other build/accessory companies come up with for this!!
will Australia market get pro4x like US does?
warrior
This is going to be really popular with Middle Eastern oil tycoons.
Hi Paul,
Do we still have the ability to manually shift the auto like the previous model? I didn’t see any paddle shifter behind the steering wheel.
Finally the end of an Era. Long live the Y62 petrol. One of the most reliable cars. Air suspension wont last long. Its even bigger now which will be a problem since the previous patrol was already larger than Landcruiser. Clearly not meant for smaller countries. It wouldn't stand a chance against the new Land cruiser. Most people will buy LC over this mark my words !!
Looks pretty good but I feel the only thing that kept the Pootrol alive in Australia was the V8 and coming in much cheaper.
Great vid! What is the handbrake setup of the Y63?
I love the new design, vastly improved over the Y62. But available in 2026 for Australia, really?! Its design reminds me of the Range Rover. I just hope its new air suspension is far more reliable than the RR for real tough offroad use.
I must be lucky as my RR has never had an issue with airbag suspension and its a 2011.
@@TerribleTezza Count yourself lucky. Better touch wood. Sadly a friend who owns a late 2021 LR Defender isn't so lucky. He's had nothing but ongoing intermittent problem with his. He says, when it works, it is a brilliant system. But it's just not reliable. Well, his one isn't.
The Pro4x version is 👌
The Nissan Patrol does indeed look nice. In my opinion, it looks like a Ford Expedition body with a Ford F150/Everest headlight style. Now, the Toyota LC 300..... that SUV is just beautiful; internal and external, and the Land Cruiser brand never seem to depreciate fast enough for us "fifth-hand" buyers to get a hold of one. 😅
I have always liked Nissan Patrol vehicles. Think they are very underrated. A real beast of a vehicle. At least the older ones were before all the now rediculous bells and whistles.
Regards from South Africa
Is it still IRS or solid rear axle?
A video on another channnel suggests solid rear axle
I've been soooo excited waiting for confirmation of the details and to see what it looks like. It looks awesome inside and out. Some great features to be had. But not until late 2026???
WTF,,,,,. 😞
Is it 7 or 8 seats ? Looks like 2 rows of 3
TFL say it has an independent rear axle. Can you confirm this?
Y62 also had an independent rear suspension for years
That front is Cadillac Patrol and rear is Nissan Prado
The North American market gets the Nissan Armada PRO 4X version.
combine the Armada Pro 4X version and the Platinum Specs, thats the = Global Nissan PATROL
Like this. I would get rid of those highway terrains, put on the smallest rims possible and chuck a bullbar on it 👍🏻
More interested in the pro x version! thanks Paul!
My Y62 is already heavy. GVM upgraded to carry camping load and visit remote locations. I expected the new model to be lighter with increased payload but disappointed.
