I appreciate the warrior, yo can tell that the price of the car is because of the off road capabilities rather than gimmicks that nobody wants or needs. The car is still expensive but at least the price is justifiable by the upgrades added to the car.

I like technology, but by far prefer button controls and analogue gauges in a vehicle. Touch screens are terrible for a driver in a moving vehicle unless you are on a highway. This may be taking the whole button thing a tad far, but I would take this over the Ranger/Everest all controlling touch screen. The ease of use aside, no one ever talked about lag/delay in response until we got touchscreens.

    • @king-pn4bj
      @king-pn4bj Год назад +3

Good integration of a touch screen can work, but physical controls for key functions, like HVAC, volume, etc I agree is vital. If you're using a pasted on tablet just to drive, you're basically staring at your phone.
Given the interior the USA gets for the Armada, I agree, this is ancient and hard to justify for the price.

Haha the ~70 kmph reverse speed dropped my jaw 😂 70+ m of stopping distance in the wet is definitely something they need to work on. From what I've heard, geolandar AT are good in the wet (but poor off road) so I guess the abs maybe the culprit here. As always, Paul, a fantastic, comprehensive and crisp automotive review!

I think Nissans biggest problem , they tend to build a great vehicle , until you get inside , assuming
They have millions of interior bits , left collecting.
Dust . Keeps costs , down while still remaining reliable . End of the day , you’re still driving a very capable suv . Most of don’t need nor want digital dashboards or 14” screens . That’s more things that can go wrong, and be costly to replace.
In terms of Canadian currency . If it was priced
    50,000 up to 70,000 - loaded . But , why these
    Manufacturers always put displacement numbers
On the sides . The fact that your dumping
250.00 dollars worth of fuel every time , you
    Don’t need a reminder

It is strange that Nissan only updated the LHD Patrol interior including the Armada and not the RHD Patrols 🤦🏼‍♂️

Would it be worth converting this to an LPG ? Or would that affect the reliability ?

All pickup trucks with V8 are converted to LPG in my country (Netherlands). So shouldn't be an issue.

@@croz2530 Doesn't matter, converting to LPG does nothing to the existing petrol system. This means the vehicle will be dual fuel. LPG is plentiful available, you just have to look for it and is sometimes advertised as autogas.

VK56VD comes with direct injection so lpg convertion should be slightly more expensive compared to manifold injection engine and it's going to use some gas while lpg is enabled.

Excellent car and plenty of aftermarket options available for the dated infotainment system. Drive away it's 110k which is still better than a landcruiser but unfortunately still out of reach for most people with the current cost of living.

It’s very sad how Nissan is falling behind the automotive industry with some of their best selling vehicles.
The inside of this suv is from 2004 Infiniti, that’s 20 years old design.

It really does puzzle me as to how any skidplate or underneath protection on a vehicle can be measured in millimeters. I mean is 2.3mm really that tough enough to protect against rocks and boulders 2hen going off road ?
