As a life long lover of stogies, this sounds like the stupidest thing imaginable. It's like competitive meditation, and goes against the entire purpose of smoking a cigar: relaxation, reflection, bringing people together (not competition).
I wouldn't inherently say stupid, to each their own, however if I'm gonna smoke my cigar, I wanna actually take my time and enjoy it. I enjoy smoking it in my yard or if I'm out in my neighborhood, or if I'm with a group of friends. Especially if I had a long day at work. Makes everything really relaxing

It looks like they are all talking and enjoying the time together. You have to remember that competition doesn't mean it doesn't bring people together! Chess clubs are all about competing with each other but everyone is friends!

I'm a veteran, was actually addicted to alcohol and cigarettes. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Got diagnosed with cptsd. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.

Can you help me with the reliable source 🙏. I'm 56 and have suffered for years with addiction, anxiety and severe ptsd, I got my panic attacks under control myself years ago and they have come back with a vengeance, I'm constantly trying to take full breaths but can't get the full satisfying breath out, it's absolutely crippling me, i live in Germany. I don't know much about these mushrooms. Really need a reliable source!! Can't wait to get them.

My father smoked cigars when I was growing up. Never really understood the appeal of it. Always seemed like a waste of too much time. But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve come to realize that the time you set aside for a cigar, is you time.You cherish the time spent on a nice cigar to clear the mind
That is the EXACT reason why I love cigars. Aside from the taste and stuff, but I love the ME time that I get from just relaxing and smoking a cigar.

Smoking a cigar isn't a sport, it's an art and should be approached as such.

I love smoking cigars, so Forgive me for saying this for those are sensitive abt it; I don't see the purpose of those who smoke gars and not inhale. Some say they do it for style and flavor. And some say it relaxes them. Style is stupid and the flavor is nasty and how can you relax off NOT inhaling? I'm not one is afraid it'll kill me. I trust God with all I do. And when I inhale that first puff from a hard day's work or pressure, that first inhale is EVERYTHING to me. Thank God for Cigars, And for those who smoke cigarettes as well. They ain't for everybody. So don't judge us. God apparently chose cigars for us for this type of relaxation, because it makes me feel stronger and not weaker.

Full disclosure: I am a pack and a half (daily) cigarette smoker for over 45 years. >
That out of the way, I was merely pointing out and as you acknowledged you increase your chances of getting cancer by smoking cigars. Lots of people think there are NO consequences to cigar smoking. As I am hooked on nicotine I hate to see others get caught up in the dirty habit as I have. I know it looks like a double standard and it is but if I can talk one person into not smoking I feel I have done some good.
PS BTW I am a BIG advocate of living your life the way you want - eating what you want as long as you want.

Surely most of the "competitive" element comes from how the cigar has been hand rolled, could be slightly tight or loose. Most of this depends on luck.

I smoked for over 30 years- yet i never missed a heartbeat in the Gym, In the Rifles i ran the BFT in record time and lit up a smoke while everyone spewed up a ring piece . i stopped smoking over 7 years ago because i got fed up with it, i still run 3 miles ever other day - yet on a special occasion i love a cigar . H Upmann are a fine smoke and i really enjoy a Rocky Patel! They should make smoking these an Olympic sport

We're going from casual cancer to ranked competitive cancer
That looks like a great atmosphere and way to connect with others, regardless of time. Yes, cigars are technically “bad” for you but are healthier than cigarettes being that you don’t inhale. To relax and sit back with friends or solo, sipping on a good drink/coffee, listening to nature or music, reminiscing and unwinding after a long day…there’s nothing like it. I only recently got into cigars a few years ago and smoke between 5-8/week depending on how busy I may be at work. It’s never a chore to smoke, always something I look forward to and my zen zone. Apparently, I smoke kind of slower than most but I have my go to cigars and ones I’d love to try since I’m still developing my palette on what notes, blends, and strengths I like. Some mild ones are a go to in the morning or afternoon while some darker, stronger blends (after a meal, of course) are a great evening smoke. But even if one doesn’t inhale, depending on the strength or just the speed that one smokes still runs the risk of the nicotine high that ends with a bad experience. I wouldn’t think that a competition is necessary though in order to do something that most cigar aficionados already enjoy, but to each his/her own. Great looking lounge though. Would love to visit there and try out a few sticks
