Smoking cigars to some is a daily activity. To others, they are saved for special occasions. Perhaps you are even guilty of increasing your cigar-smoking habit whilst on holiday.

I smoke a Churchill-size Cuban cigar once a week. For me it’s like going to a psychotherapist for 90 minutes. It’s my only way of meditation and yoga. Yes, I know the risks, but without this 90 minutes once a week, sitting on my porch, listening to Jazz and Blues, I’d be spending this money and time on a therapist or drugs maybe. I’m 50 and have had no health issues so far. I often travel to London and Paris, and for me there is nothing like sitting and reflecting on life while watching the blue smoke from a Havana cigar…
Far less risk than an alcoholic drink per week.
Far less risk than a donuts, American fake bread. Or other surgery crap lol.
Far less risk than social medias effect on the brain.
In fact. A cigar a week or 1-3 per week is probably good for you. Increase cognitive function, been proven to decrease Alzheimer’s and boosts testosterone.
I am a professional psychotherapist and I totally agree.
The peace smoking a cigar brings… is worth it! I smoke once a week
Nothing wrong with “smoking kills” stickers, only as long as there are “traveling kills” on automobiles.
Despite the nicotine levels in cigars, I've never actually heard of anyone who is addicted to smoking cigars. But I'm sure we all know people who addicted to smoking cigarettes. I would say smoking cigars is more of a hobby-lifestyle, than an actual addiction. Would I miss it if I stopped doing it one day? I sure will. But would I go through withdrawals like long-time cigarette smokers do? Nope.
Plus i actually have not heard anybody get cancer from smoking cigars. Majority of the time they get some type of lung or throat cancer, it’s mainly from cigarettes.
Cigarettes are addictive because they’re pumped full of god know what to make you buy more. They aren’t even made from tabacco as i understand the definition.. Cigars are are the real thing and as a result must be smoked in the correct fashion.
Best people focus on their generally terrible dietary habits..I.e. smoking a couple of cigars is the least of your worries!
I was addicted to them, then I switched to vaping. Quitting the vape today.
@@scorgi0Ulysses Grant died from oral cancer from smoking cigars.
@@Joe-wo7rg That was because he smoked like 20 of them a day, hardly any cigar smoker goes that far, so yea chances of course he was definitely gonna die from that shit. But normal cigar smokers who smoke once or twice a week, hardly develop any health problems.
I believe in moderation 1 or 2 cigars to me is ok a week. It's very relaxing to me.
Thank you for making this video . I smoke cigars about 3-4 times a week . It's an amazing meditation and form of relaxation for me .
I appreciate the perspective
Cigars are like Yoga 🧘♀️
At first, I thought I could get by just having one cigar a week. It's now one every other day. If I could afford it, it'd be at least once or twice per day. I love them, but sometimes I feel trapped.
I’m new to cigars now and I’ve been buying a different cigar every single week. For now I’m just smoking 1-2 a week but I think we are all waving the risks right by because we enjoy the experience of a premium cigar
The title I was looking for lol
As it stick to me.
28 years old
Smoked weed for about 5 years daily, quit, clean 2 years.
Now I recently got into Cigars. Only had a handful my whole life and this month I’ve smoked 4, never finished any.
Really like learning the history and how they are made and I can appreciate the culture.
Once a week can’t possibly be bad but you never know. I did read a study revelry that was saying smoking a cigar or two a week resulted inconclusive that they wouldn’t say it can lead to this or that. Idunno if i stick to one a week or less I believe I will be fine. I’ll let you know lol
I have been cigarette free for 10 years. I recently started civar smoking. I am intending to keep my cigars down to 2 or 3 a month to stave off the risk.
Good luck with that.
I smoke one cigar(Julietta Wide Churchill) on a Saturday evening with a real coffee as I don't drink alcohol. As everything if in moderation, then the dangers of cigars is very small. However, the danger is there, but I keep extremely fit so that is dangerous with injuries, etc. Life is full of dangers so be aware and then make a choice
I like this. Enjoy!!
The beauty of cigars is that you need time to enjoy them. I only smoke 2 per month but i always make sure i have enough time and the right scenario. Cigarette smokers are addicts who need their fix no matter what. Cigars require time and patience and are meant to be enjoyed
The warnings against cigars and pipes ( my favorite) are so emotional that there's no way to get a simple answer,,,guess what smoking 1 cigar a week is way safer than 7 per week, simple answer,,,if you're still paranoid, don't ever smoke ever, shit!!!
Thank you 👍🏻
Man but one a week is unreal! One a day! That’s the question…
Lol one cigar a week isn't going to hurt you. 😂
Not to be sarcastic at all. I’m just curious how you know that. I started smoking cigars recently, about 1 cigar a week, and I wish I KNEW there was no harm in it. So please share your knowledge.
@@frankmilano actually man i dont know that for sure. and if your only smoking one a week sounds like you got good willpower. If you can get by with only smoking one a week, maybe just cut back even more to one a month. I mean realistically one cigar a week I really doubt that is going to cause you to get sick. I have personally known multiple people who got sick from smoking. But truth be told, they were the type of people who smoked cigarettes all day, and even got up to take smoke breaks at night from sleep. Therefore Its very unlikely your going to get sick from one a week. But if your only smoking one a week it means your not hooked to the nicotine. So why not cut back even further, and just do like one ever 2 weeks? Just a thought friend.
I smoke a cigar once or twice a week. I have noted if I do it more often I start to have this anxiety feeling prevalent through the day. I could only imagine smoking cigarettes daily and throughout the day how on edge I would be… my stomach actually grows and I get hungrier when I smoke lol man I love a good cigar though. I really wish I knew somebody who just unbiasedly gave us the medical/scientific facts.
I'm worried about my boyfriend who has started smoking more and more cigars and let him know it upsets me and leave. Thank you for your info has helped me but he has bad lungs from working on the oil fields and breaths hard sometimes. So wonder if cigars aren't helping
Let's be honest here. The only thing we should be breathing is fresh air! If he is exposed to toxic gasses and fumes, smoking cigars won't help his already bad lungs.
If he knows it upsets you as you care for his health and he continues. I question if he values your opinion at all. He doesn't sound like much of a team player to me!
To me it depends if he inhales the smoke which if he does it would not help it would make it worse
As a non-smoker, I understand your point.
But as a former chemist, I would worry much more about all those chemicals he is breathing on daily basis.
Before quitting his cigars, I would suggest to quit his job and find another one that is much less toxic.
You don't inhale cigars. Anytime folks wanna discuss tobacco they lump all forms into one and people who don't know the difference eat it up. It's how propaganda works.
Cigars aren't inhaled lol
His job probably is way more harmful than cigars for him.
It's a new job he needs, not quitting cigars.
i smoke a premium cigar every 2 week so 2 sticks a month, for me its like a cheatday i relax and have my stress relieve so imo its more healthier as a burnout or the stuff we inhale on the streets...
Im twice a month too 👌 Always make sure i have a good hr or 2 free so that it can be enjoyed
You can avoid junk food
its so annoying hearing people say moderation...
I smoke two to three cigars a year. Do I have a high risk getting cancer?
Dead man walking here.
Yes its coming soon
Nah, I smoke one cigar a week, I’m fine
I dont think so
Considering I just saw the nat geo documentary on the 103 year old guy that smokes ten cigars a day , I’m gonna have to say genetics and no lol
so you think he just got lucky genetics and people who smoke that many cigars a day can die earlier?
I saw that documentary. He's a super happy and relaxed old guy and I think that plays a bigger factor. Stress can kill us way more than a cigar.
@@scorgi0 I have the same question, any idea about this ?
TESLA's in all cities
I smoke 10 to 15 Romeo y Julieta minis per day, who cares what anyone thinks.
The video isn't about what people think. It was more about the health impact. Which smoking will inevitably have on a person.
