It’s interesting to note the liquor of choice, not very often I see seasoned cigar smokers choose a Canadian whiskey … I’m not a scotch drinker myself as I find the taste to be pretty crude but it seems to be a cigar smokers go to drink of choice nowadays, so it’s nice to see someone enjoy crown the way it’s supposed to be enjoyed in all of its sweet silky smooth spicy vanilla and hazelnut goodness, it maintains its bold warm after glow that washes over me like a warm blanket after a few sips, in those moments I truly feel content in the world, just me, my glass and my thoughts … I’d imagine it’d pair extremely well with a nice cigar when enjoyed neat, it’s certainly one of my favorites … I say it’s a mighty fine choice my good sir.
Normally, I just play the video lay back and listen, but naturally I watch this man’s whole video and felt like I could spark one up as well and enjoy the day.

Where I'm from, the loud or obnoxious cigar smokers are usually "kids". That said, there is something to be said about a young man sitting quietly with his cigar and you know he is listening to the older men talk, but he waits to be invited into the conversation. Cigar smoking is steeped in tradition as far as I've seen. If a man offers to buy a younger man a cigar at a lounge, it is rude to refuse. Another tradition where I'm from, is the older men will take a respectable young beginner and take them under their wing. I met my mentor this way. I've only been smoking cigars for under a year, but I've learned so much just sitting silent and listening to my mentor talk with others. If I have something to contribute, I may say it, but generally I stay quiet and let myself be seen not heard. An interesting contrast between cigar smokers and cigarette smokers. It is considered tacky to offer to light someone's cigarette where I'm from. If a man offers to help a beginner light or cut his cigar, then it is considered honoring them to allow them to do so. Cigar smoking is one of the last pure rituals that men have left. All pretense and fakery is left at the door and humble manhood reigns in a cigar lounge. It is considered humble to offer to cut or a less experienced smokers cigar and to offer to help them light it. Have a safe night everyone.
