OMG !! 20 videos later I finally find the solution to fixing my bubble in floor without removing the plank. You are awesome 👏 thank you very much, great video.
@FloorsbySouthernboys I guess a 2x4 would help push bubbles out. I haven't had a chance but knows I gotta fix this. Actually noticed when I changed the living room setting. Like I moved the Couch, TV stand across the floor..
This was incredibly informative. I've got a small nightmare on my hands from a hallway that was horrifically uneven. And, I've used every type of self-leveler/feather finish you can use, but I still have a few spots like this. Just out of curiosity, you recommended a Mapei product for adhering to concrete floors. I'm assuming that same adhesive would work with this same technique?? ? I'll have to use this method at the few places left. Your videos have been incredibly helpful. Thank you so much.
How do you fix wrinkles/bubbles in a perimeter felt back sheet vinyl congolum product it wasn't rolled with the wear layer out or tubed I heard about heat socking it with a hair dryer and then apply a tray of ice to the wrinkle to thermal shock it have you got any other ideas if that doesn't work
That probably will not work because that remedy is for interflex vinyl which they do not make anymore . It is probably cut too tight around the perimeter and needs to be re-cut to have expansion room.
I was told by the congolum tech it's because the roll wasn't rolled with the wear layer out but with the bottom felt back out with will cause it to wrinkle it's not cut tight to the walls there is an expansion gap what about injecting glue
Sure have. Works for glue down carpet too . It never fully dries it stays gummy. Very hard to remove if you ever had to though, gums up scrapers like a rubbery tar kind of.
I bought the same injector that you had, how did you get the needle to stay on? my needle came with just like a square flange on the end, I could not keep it in the syringe to save my life had to literally hold it. I was expecting it to be threaded.
Cody Kanz If The scratch is the same direction as the grain is running in the wood, they make various types of wood and vinyl fillers , Home Depot has a pretty good selection of wood laminate and vinyl fillers and that’s what I use, if it is in the same direction as your wood grain it will blend in pretty good most likely, if it is going a crossed the grain it’s going to be pretty hard to hide that, so with that being said you’ll probably want to replace the plank if it is going across the grain and replacing the plank is not an easy job, I would probably rather just live with the scratch rather than try to replace it if you are not really familiar with the way these products work, because it can be quite challenging
Cody Kanz Oh snap, with it being that much it would probably need to be taken up all the way from the wall to the last damaged bored and just replace those boards which will ultimately damage more boards while taking them up so you would probably want to get three or four more boxes of the same product if you wish to tackle that or have someone else tackle it for you
@@FloorsbySouthernboys Thanks! I cannot seem to find the sealer that you used in the video. Do you have another recommendation on the type of sealant to use?
Ty Covington Premium Seam Sealer for Fiberglass Vinyl Flooring - 8oz. Bottle www.amazon.com/dp/B06XVMD4P5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_hHODDb0RHRV39. Here you are
Kimberly Moore Are you talking about the glue I guess it’s just totally depends on what kind of vinyl you have if it is a felt back or a solid vinyl something new were then you can just get a pressure sensitive glue Or just any kind of vinyl seem sealer for newer vinyl’s at a Lowe’s or Home Depot
I'm having a problem with a vinyl tile floor tile I just installed. It a " peel & stick" on plywood subfloor. Went down ok. But am getting a number of curling edges. Will this method work for my situation? And what seam sealer do you recommend. Thanks!
Ofc. Roll-out FDC peel and stick is in its own category if it’s not sticking you’re pretty much out of luck, that stuff is not permanent It is pretty much just for rental properties or something like that, just for a quick fix or a quick cover up, if you put glue with the sticky residue on the back of the peel and stick tile it will not adhere good
I would have approached this repair by pulling back the cpt. And squeeze the glue under the Lino from the other side of the bubble. No hole in the Lino
I love how you provided a visual example at 6:35 of how the glue spreads under the vinyl You are a professional explainer thanks a ton!
Kevin Cassidy Thank you sir I try to make it simple enough where everyone can understand

This is a great video! I'm trying this tomorrow. Fingers crossed 🤞🏾
Good luck, I hope it turns out well
Glad I found your video as apparently I have a lot of bubbles in my living room. I noticed more this year than last year.

Good example and well explained 🎉 Thank You
The mans held a syringe before. Look at that one handed air buble removal.❤
Great Job, now I know I was doing it right but I'm gonna get me some of that sealing. Thanks Bro!

Nice, I use the same approach on small commercial glue down issues.

Thanks very much gonna give this a try!
You’re welcome, good luck buddy hope it works out good for you
What might be the cause?
Great job ! I use only Roberts 3300 glue for all sheet goods, has never failed me
jc86 Is that a pressure sensitive glue
Not a pressure glue but a contact one I guess you'd call it. Home Depot carries it .
jc86 Have you used it on fiberglass sheet vinyl
Sure have. Works for glue down carpet too . It never fully dries it stays gummy. Very hard to remove if you ever had to though, gums up scrapers like a rubbery tar kind of.

Nice job 👍🏻
Thanks 👍
Hi, would this work on bubbles caused becaused of water spill?
Juan Pablo Cu As long as the floor is dry under the vinyl yes
@@FloorsbySouthernboys thanks! Thats what I thought... appreciate your help!
Juan Pablo Cu 😀👍
@@johnforcamerica Did it work? I spilled a little water on my floor and it's bubbling now :(
@@mollymurphy1836 I am sorry to hear that. I did not work quite well for me; I did not have the necessary tools; I think is worth to try Molly.

The one I had definitely was threaded it screwed on
@@FloorsbySouthernboys Thanks for the reply and the vid. It did work pretty decent but I had major issues due to my poor installation job lol.
Yo buddy, Thanks for the great tips, a true legend. Any suggestions on where to get one of those big 'ol syringes in Amsterdam?

Can we reuse the syringe or is it a one time?

Hi again, Southernboys! Got a question I need your expertise on. Is there a way to repair a fairly deep scratch in Coretec?

I have bubbles in vinyl click sistem but i do have space around the walls. So no glue underneath, just a thin vinyl foam. What can be the reason?
Maybe your foam is wrinkling up underneath of the vinyl plank
@@FloorsbySouthernboys no. I checked. Dissasebled everything apart and reasembled again.
