I can’t believe they did not want silicone… I would definitely do the silicone for fear of water finding its way under causing mildew.
    Great tutorial! Thank you 🙏🏻

A classroom example of using a trimming knife skillfully. Camera angles were great, exposing the detail close up.
I'm about to embark on laying Lino for the first time & have viewed multiple videos, but not anymore.
Yours is the template & only reference point I need to begin the work with some confidence.
Thank you so much for your advice. 👍

    Hello mate.
    Great little vid 👍
I'm a tradesman, but never fitted vinyl before for clients. Not because of lack of skills but just missing a trick on how to use the knife to cut so tight. Now I know. I never ever thought to bend the tip of the hook blade. Jidzooks. I have 3 rooms to do soon so I'm actually feeling emboldened and confident rather than worried. 😅 Thanks Eggy. Appreciated.
    Little Tip for you.
    Throw the dustpan away.
Get a Henry vac and wide soft brush ends etc. Look after those lungs. I never sweep. Only vac.
    Cheers buddy 👍.

The customer knows nothing about flooring, so tell them what it needs...!!
5.5mm flooring grade plywood fixed with ringshank nails. Then, a skim coat of feather finish to cover any joints in the plywood and low spots. When dry rub down and sweep out and use a 1.5mm notched trowel to spread the Fball F44 glue over the whole area. Drop vinyl in place while glue is still wet and square up. And fit with a hook and straight knife job done...🎉
If you can't do the job right, don't do the job and just walk away.
