This video is like Goldilocks and the 3 bears; it is just right! The right amount of time, energy, calmness. I really appreciate the pace of it and the instructor's permission to be patient with our bodies and to make modifications based on how you are feeling in that moment! Really helpful to regroup at the end of the work day.

Here's a beginner-friendly Hatha Flow Yoga class - we combine a simple flow and longer holds. This is one of my first practices after more than 2 months of no physical activity! I was not allowed to exercise during IVF and while waiting for results. Good news is it worked! I'm 9 weeks pregnant! I'm slowly easing my way back into a stronger yoga practice. Try this out or recommend to a friend who's just starting out with yoga. Thanks everyone! :) - Maris
Your practice taught me to put aside my ego and impatience with my body, and to stop trying to use movement and exercise as punishment. I think my previous mindset is why my yoga practice never really stuck. I was pushing too hard, too soon and my body would rebel and burn out. Doing this sequence I fully enjoyed my body, and felt relaxed and at ease at the end. I was tempted to continue afterwards and do some sun salutations on my own to burn more calories, but I told myself not to, and to take the lesson from this experience. I am so grateful for your video, and I've subscribed to your channel! Namaste

this was exactly what I was looking for, thank-you for sharing! I am very stiff and have all sort of tight muscles and issues from my scoliosis, not to mention being inflexible in some areas and having weak muscles in others -- it makes finding a yoga routine that I can get through and feel good about difficult, but this was great! Plus your voice is so calm and soothing and your instructions clear and easy to follow. I will definitely be checking out your other videos. thanks again!

Alas, Maris, the feeling better was only temporary ... back to feeling rotten, but your gentle yoga practices help a great deal making me feel better every morning and stopping me from dropping my daily yoga routine. I was also wondering... are there any particular poses that help with congestion and clearing the lungs? (sorry, my initial comment was from another account, not my usual 'private' one).
Thanks for your reply, Maris and no worries. As I said, the gentle practices help and the rest is just accepting that flu knocks you off your feet every now and then. this is nice and gentle flow of in and out of the poses,the only thing my hands hurt in downward dog ,is it ok to if i keep my hands more than shoulder wodth apart because then it feels more comfortable .pl advice
Heey Maris, I loved this video!! Thank you :) I notice at the end during the asanas where we're lying on the ground, for example happy baby, you instruct us to ground the tailbone down to the mat. I sometimes also hear to scoop the tailbone under. Why this difference? Is there a right and a wrong way? 🙏
Maris, Why were you not allowed to exercise during IVF? My doctor said I should do some exercise. I am trying to take it easier, but I always enjoy a more invigorating class. Will it hurt my chances?
