Thanks for the detailed video. Works like a charm! For anyone making their own, test fit the new sensor before welding the socket. The shorter you can make it with it still being able to grab the hex head and clear the sensor… the better.
This shouldn’t have damaged your sensor in any way. It is the exact same method if you would have removed the intake manifold and went straight down on the sensor. May have a defected sensor from the parts store.

Looks to me like it cleared the Temp Sensor and it was in the socket enough to un screw and screw it!!??????
Tried this and must have damaged the connector... I have both a P0480 and now a P0118 code since trying this... NOT GOOD! UGH!!!!!!!!!!!
