Thanks for the detailed video. Works like a charm! For anyone making their own, test fit the new sensor before welding the socket. The shorter you can make it with it still being able to grab the hex head and clear the sensor… the better.
I am glad it worked for you!
Josh thank you so much brother!!! 6 minute video and right to the point. No 20 minutes of BS ,the 455 Rancher I just did a carb on and runs good had no oil on bar watched video did everything you said and last thing was oil flow adjustment. Found this one was turned all the way clockwise and I turned it out full counterclockwise and started it up and just letting it idle oil is flowing perfectly. Huge thank you to you after two hurricanes Helena and Milton here in St. Petersburg Florida we are struggling with so much to do and tree trimming is overwhelming but now that the bar is getting proper oil we can get R done! I liked and subscribed and now following. Thank you very much
I am glad the video was able to help, have a great day!
I have a tw20, the fluid to use is the same oil that motor bikes use in there front forks. its about 20 bucks for 500ml. I got my oil from repco here in Australia. its a shit of a idea.
That's good to know. I actually sold the tractor, not my problem anymore.
It seemed like blood coming out Advice: first let it rest at neutral and then race it hard more extra water will come out
Worst video ever. Start from wide view so I can see where you are. What truck you have. All you did was hack apart tools and claim things
Thanks for the info, yeah can ya show us the oil pump as well because mine is not pumping mush oil out, there's just a fine mist at the tip , i turned the adjuster at the bottom, it was on the center notch so i turned it to the left and right but didn't make any difference
I will take it apart soon, and post a video.
Looks to me like it cleared the Temp Sensor and it was in the socket enough to un screw and screw it!!??????
Tried this and must have damaged the connector... I have both a P0480 and now a P0118 code since trying this... NOT GOOD! UGH!!!!!!!!!!!
This shouldn’t have damaged your sensor in any way. It is the exact same method if you would have removed the intake manifold and went straight down on the sensor. May have a defected sensor from the parts store.
Thanks for the quick instructions to chain lube.
I know this is wierd but can you send me a photo of your crank pulley for this truck? I put the same ps pump on my loadstar to power a 07 chevy hydroboost brake master cylinder, but I only have a single belt crank pully and can't drive my pump. I would definitely appreciate it.
I found a three grove pulley at a local junkyard that works the power steering pump of course it is the back pulley that runs the pump and it is one with the harmonic balancer so you'll need a puller.
Thanks for the reply. I found the pully I needed. I used a single pully that went behind the main crank pulley.
Are the brownie boxes on these synchronized? Or do you have to rev match and float em or double clutch to shift them?
Any progress
I hope because it would look awesome
you don't see too many tandems around. Typical IH speedometers usually don't work or they bounce. That needs a diesel! Detroit!! Them gas manifolds always leak too! What part of NJ you in? Yeah sounded like a lifter tick. A lil B12 Berryman additive in oil might free it up.
I have one like this only yellow. Needs a clutch, and pins for the circle rams too and master cylinders and brake and circle lock cylinders also. Wondering how long it will take me to get it stuck with 6wd lol
Very informative video, I have same saw too, running 20 inch bar, a dependable workhorse saw. I got mine used, but I good shape. Jim from MS
In 1987 I learned how to drive dumptruck on that very same model, 72 w/a 392. But it had a 4 spd aux. Frank the owner used to have masking tape on the dash with the gear numbers. So when I shifted, i had to point my index finger out and touch the tape on the dash. I knew what gear I was in all the time. Outside of Nipigon at golf course hill, Frank would have me time it right so i hit the bottom at 4200 rpms and hold'er to the rug and come over the top at 3200. Sometimes I'd blow a shift and the driveshaft would DING... and Frank would laugh so hard and yell "Ah you rang the church bell" hahahaha.
*Promo sm*
Looks like your master cylinder is leaking inside the cab. You cab rebuild it just did mine on a tw10
I had same idea
I got 2 of these austin westerns, one of them is my snow plow with a swapped 466. The other one i got at an auction for $25
More chainsaw maintance videos!!! Sharping would be good, you do a good job explaning.
Thank you very much! I got a used Rancher 455 and noticed the bar getting overheated. I suspected insufficient bar oil supply but had no idea how to troubleshoot until I found your video.
Great video! Just got a 455 that doesn’t seem to be throwing much oil. It’s been single digit temps here, hoping it’s just the cold, but will be checking these things out tomorrow. Would definitely like to see the video about the pump, but hoping that’s not my problem. Thanks for the info!
Bring the saw, and bar oil inside overnight when you know you'll need it. Verify if it is an aftermarket bar that the oil hole is properly aligned with the saw. When it's cold enough, they won't pump. My father used to cut bar oil with kerosene in the winter, that can help too.
DELETE that shit.
Pull that shit off
Hey, I’ve got an 86 f150, as for the left turn signal, try turning it on, and then lightly pushing up on it without turning it off. That’s what I have to do to get it to turn on.
I couldnt find the sweet spot anywhere unfortunately. I used to have a spare turn signal switch in the shed, hopefully I can dig it up
Thats sick! Makes me wish I kept my old chevy and did something cool with it. Best of luck with it
Thank you!
Nice grader! Great engine sound.
Thanks!
🔥🔥 Badass 🤘🤘
That is a fantastic machine. I'm looking at one similar. It has a Buda 6. Much prefer a Detroit. Would love one with a 12 71. Just think of that. Mmmmm
All the ones I used shattered, the ones still intact I never used
I thought calcium was replaced with beat juice now. No dealers here have used calcium for several years.
It's either/or. Calcium is a lot cheaper and easier. Beet juice/Rimguard is $5 a gallon.
nah qjets are the best💯
Sounds good
Thanks
My issue is that I'm dumping a lot of bar oil out while cutting. Should I tighten my bar oil screw slightly???
That would be the place to start. Just make sure it's coming from the oil hole on the bar mount, and not leaking somewhere else
On our semi trucks we drill a little hole in the bottom of the elbows to let water out, and push condensations out, pipes last a lot longer
This has a hole in it, but the turbo outlet elbow I fabricated started to sag, so a little bit settles inside. I usually cover it with something, I was busy and forgot all about it.
Thanks Josh. Very informative.
Amen, wish I had me one lol
Can you do a video on the master cylinder, please?
If I pull it out again, I will. The rebuild kit I bought was very poor quality. New Holland doesn't even sell quality replacement parts for these anymore, it's hard to find good parts. The kit I bought came from All States Ag Parts, and it was garbage. Said "Frey" as the brand in the package. Absolute junk. Not worth the box it came in.
@@joshuasrulez very interesting stuff. I think your content could teach people a lot of things and I’m looking forward to your next post.
Your seals are shot from the wrong fluid. You're going to need a full brake fluid system seal rebuild and complete cleaning out of the wrong fluid
So you're going to tell me that the brake piston O-rings in the rear end can tolerate hydraulic oil from inside the rear axle housing, but not from inside the brake system? I've never met a bipolar o-ring.
@Jambo yes, and it was good for 2 seasons, and about 300 hours of work. I flushed out all of the mineral brake oil, because I always assumed the problems occur when normal oil mixes with the "brake oil." Other than being a little stiff in the winter, it never needed fluid for 2 years.
IT'S A FORD!!!
Sure is 😂
im planning on doing the same with a little smaller tractor, but i was wondering doesnt it need a wastegate of some sort to regulate pressure and not overboost?
This turbo is a clone of what used to be an "M&W" turbo kit, it fits a wide range of applications. The highest boost I've ever seen is 18 PSI (which is a lot for one of these from what I have gathered). If you put a better turbo on, I'd recommend a wastgate/blow-off valve setup, but I've never had a problem. As soon as you put the throttle down, that boost disappears almost instantly.
The only thing bad about a Qjet are the monkies who dont know how to work it
That's me, so stupid 🙂 ❤️
People that are to dumb to tune a Quadrajet suck
Where in nj are u at that rare truck that came with.a.twin.stick
Sussex County, bought it up in Florida, New York from a blackdirt farmer who had owned it since around 1990. I'd sell it if you are interested
That thing looks like it's been put through it.
It's been sitting in the barn for about 3 years doing nothing but collecting dust. It would shine right up.
Your wife just kicked you out.
No wife here, and I'm not the kinda fella to be getting kicked out haha.
Just needs a paint job if you were going to keep it rusteloum hammerite green paint would made that girl look great
A friend of ours bought it, I think he likes it just the way it is. He's already been using it. Next time I'm over there when he's running it I'll film it in action.
Great job
Thanks Jamey!
Cool man. Love those old ford's
Me too! I wish NOS parts were more readily available. I'm not very happy with the quality of replacement parts these days. They put them together with the good stuff in the factory, now we're stuck with foreign economy parts.
