yes i thought dont let me down was a great choice for a lesson, especially the middle section that i always played wrong but now thanks to you i can play it properly thank you ever so much, any chance of little lamb dragonfly off red rose speedway that would make an excellent lesson there must be loads of people out there who would appreciate that one with its vast array of chords and great melody lines and great for acoustic guitar, once again many thanks for dont let me down
Like I've said many times before...this channel deserves atleast a million subscribers. I'm a freakin nobody but I just can't digest the fact that people like Carl Brown, Marty Schwartz etc. have a bigger audience than this guy here. It's a strange world that we live in.
They all are great for doing what they do...But, Andy here is on another level. I hope you, like me ..help his channel monetarily from time to time when you can. If ever a channel deserved our support, its this one. I don't mind putting "my money where my mouth is" in this case !
Such beautiful pocket placement. Everyone talks about a drummer being "in the pocket." But the other instruments need to be in the right place of that pocket. "How to ride that wave" so to speak. You sir nail it. You're the best on the internet. My biggest pet peeve is people yapping FoR eVeR before they show they don't really know how to play what they're trying to show you anyway. And by the way, I have donated to this man... So should you if you're reading this!
This has always been one of my favourite songs. To say that The Beatles were the sum of their parts is absolutely true. To have been a part of their recording sessions must have been wonderful. Thanks for teaching us this special song.
I just love this song, and Georges playing here. This is my go-to tune on guitar - thanks for showing me all this bits that I could never figure out. This is the best Don't Let Me Down lesson out there.
You are by far the best teacher on u- tube. Your attention to detail is impeccable. Absolutely a master at your craft. I’ve learned more from your videos than any other material. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Excellent! This is one of those songs I've played on and off for 40 years and have my own thing I do so I won't change it but I've learned some of "right" way to play a bunch of songs from you and you are truly the best channel to learn from.
The second I got this notification I literally started jumping in Joy Thank you so much My next Beatle recommendation would be I got a feeling 16:49 for me
You are just one word.........Awesome. Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to make these great lessons. It’s getting me through this weird time we are all in.
With Andy's help I was able to do an acoustic cover of the song and I posted it to my channel so this shows the power of having a good teacher to help put the parts together, thanks brother!
Thank you Andy!!! Your attention to detail and nuances and making us conscious of all that, is unsurpassed! Makes us deliver better than we ever could without you! And hopefully will teach us how to find them all ourselves as we move forward! This is John's masterpiece answer to Paul's masterpiece, Oh Darling! But this is really much more a complete team effort. They are all in tune with each other and it really flows! Always a pleasure! Billy Preston takes it up a notch or two as well! Perfect!
I've been watching this channel for a long time but I just now subbed. I have only subbed to two channels and this is the best tutorial channel for sure. Your method is absolutely the best. I've noticed your LP is showing some wear recently and I imagine it's because you play so many hours of the day. It's sounding better all the time. Thanks for making these great videos.
I so appreciate that you just play it through once so we can just get the overall flow. As a moderately skilled guitarist, I don’t need the long-form breakdown of each note as a starting point - just need to see what you’re doing on the fretboard. If one needs a deeper dive, you provide that too later in the lesson, so it’s all there. I’m new to your channel, but I’m assuming that is by design. Thanks much.
Great lesson as always. For anyone playing solo acoustic I recommend playing the main riff by baring the D string at the 4 fret, same pattern from there. Then just play John’s part. It’s a hit at family gatherings.
I think this has got to be in my Top Ten favourites of your ' How to's .. Just some lovely little playing there . Lovely tone from your hands . & you Know I think I might even be able to manage a version of this myself .. But while I was watching I was reminded of those early schooldays where the world was divided into " Stones " fan's & " Beatles " fan's ... seems so silly now but it was as important as "what's your star sign ? " to a lot of Girls .. I was a wannabe Keef & Mick Taylor guy But George was my favourite in the Fab Four . Recently I have been watching a lot of old ' Content ' about how stuff was recorded & the little tricks musicians would use . sometimes keeping it tricky on purpose .. Like not letting the other guy's know all your tricks lol & it reminds of that ' Endless discussion ' " Do Girl's dress up for themselves ? for Men ? or for other women ? " & there is a comparison with musicians " Do we show off for each other ? ( within the Band even ) for the Fan's ? ( most fan's do not care if it's a diminished flat 9th with an added 13th ) & most Drummers ( except singing drummers ) don't know the words to the song's lol Most Fan's cannot sing more than the hook & a chorus & maybe one or two lines that mean something special to them .. I think that in this case The song & the guitar parts were just done for the love of making great music & as always there is that sense of humour musicians enjoy when they throw in a little surprise .. or a nice harmonic twist ? I watched JJ Cale smiling to himself as he left Eric baffled while switching things about . I am not challenging you as there is not a single answer but I have seen at least six different versions of After Midnight & the same goes for JJ ' s take on a shuffle But as I say to my wife if it aint got that swing .. A good song should make you want to dance or sway .. Like this Classic Beatles song it doesn't Let you Down & neither do you . I promise one of these days I am gonna buy a t shirt or a mug or something . You might not look at many similar sites offering to teach song but I do & I can Honestly say you are the best if arguably in a top three or four with some of the others giving your old mate Tim Pierce a mention . Thanks again . Over here in Darkest Backwoods Forestland Mywife & I just got Vaccinated against the dreaded Covid .. 1st time I had been out of the house in 2 years lol . Stay Cool & Be safe Big love to you & all of your loved ones . here is hoping there is a better summer ahead . Bye
After watching countless videos of yours I just realized how nicely your guitar stands out from your black clothes and backdrop. Bravo sir. You're my go to besides Pandora. "Shut up and play guitar demo" is my RUclips search 😁😁😁👍
Wow! How I'd like to know how to play this song this well...got a lot of practicing ahead, but Andy you make it look doable! Thank you for the lessons 🙏🏾👍🏽👍🏽
I used to love to flip this record and get both sides groovin. Yes I used the word groovin......... Thanks for the blast Andy, you are the best and I'm qualified to say so.
Hi Andy. Heard you're not doing too great at the moment. Hope to have you back in the saddle soon. You are a fine teacher and such pleasant company of an evening when the family are away to bed and I can get my guitar out. Wishing you good health sir. Oh and I made a donation too yesterday. Everyone should if they are getting something from these tutorials. C'mon loyal subscribers! If Andy can't work just now he can't earn so I'm sure even the smallest of donations would be welcome
Insanely good lesson, and sadly one of the last Beatles tracks. Have just bought a Gibson Les Paul faded T and genuinely wondering if you regret not using a pickguard.
I recently subscribed to your channel. You are a fantastic teacher. Your lessons are so in-depth. Are you a Bob Dylan fan? Would you be willing to do a finger picking lesson for "Don't think twice it's alright?" Thanks for all of your lessons. I have learned how to play Here Comes the Sun. One of my favs. I love George!
Great Stuff THANKS So Much for all the lessons. A great song I didnt find here is 'Holding all my love for you'. The ending song from the movie Open Range. Cool if you could do that one...
Thanks Andy. I love your channel, if I ever get stuck learning a song your the first place I go. Wondered if you might put up a David Wilcox tune. Hypnotizing Boogie or Bad Apple. Not sure if he’s in your style preference but I’d love to see something of his on line. Thx. Mat From Canada.
@Shutup & Play - You're so amazing. Hey dude, I wonder if you would consider doing Traveling Man off of Live Bullet? Or ANY tune from live bullet with Drew's leads. I looked all through your vids can't see it. Drew Abbott's sound and leads are what makes Live Bullet the great album it is in my opinion. I've never been able to quite get that sharp feeling Drew gets in his leads on Live Bullet. I'd love to know how he does it. Thanks for your time, do it or not.
Super cool. Makes me and huge numbers of people know that we actually can play it right. Can you direct me to a site that shows you how to play keyboards as well?
I hate to make a request since you do so much for us all already, but "Secrets" by Van Halen needs your attention to details, if you would please. Thanks! Cheers!
Hi any chance you can make a video on thin lizzy song leave this town? Been looking everywhere for this but can't find it 😕 your video's are unbelievable so i would really appreciate it if this is possible
Very good. Unannoying manner, unlike most youchoob gtr tutors. No white socks, no "straight outta the blah blah scale", and most importantly, no fricken "up down up down up down down down up...........down"

His schwartz is much bigger'n Marty's, that's fer sure.
May the Schwartz be with you!
Marty who
I actually follow all 3, and a couple more for variations & tips. ( Walkdowns,, hammers ect..)
A lil more,,, "polish", here, I must admit...

@Evelyn 21 y.o - check my vidéó Although, Harrison didn't craft the leads on this song. Clapton did...
Great lesson. I know John wrote it, but George's guitar licks and accompaniment make this song great.
Harrison was such a genius!
they all were

What amazes me is that more than 50 years later, people still want to learn and play this song. Well done!
This gives a whole new appreciation for this song. Thank you
Still I can hear Lennon's voice
I so wish we all could...
Good comment, sir. Thank you. Or, ma'am.
Songs have a funny way of staying imprinted in our brains... 🤷♂️
You'll make me cry!

This is the best channel of tutorials! :) I will definitely learn it!
I asked if this would be next after you posted Get Back, and lo and behold!! Yassssss! Yasss! Thank you Andy!
Same 😁
You always have the best sound of any lesson !
I’ve learned most songs I know on this channel.
They always seem to have a little more than others.

This song and guitar parts are salve to my brain after a long hard month of struggles
Well said...and thats what is missing in music today
you are one of the best guitarist i have ever come across .....PURE GUITAR GOD .*****
Heavenly tone. Now I have to learn this song.
I've been watching this channel for a long time but I just now subbed. I have only subbed to two channels and this is the best tutorial channel for sure. Your method is absolutely the best. Thank you making my day. Anything by the Beatles always does the trick.
FAV Beatles tune....( Dear Prudence up there) saw Landslide tutorial then this...I’m SUBSCRIBED

Andy, how is it that you manage to duplicate the tone of EVERY guitar (and player) for every song you do? ...and on the same Les Paul. It's amazing!!!
Thank you very much ! Awesome interplay between the 2 guitars
Definitely the best tutorial for this tune. I've learned a lot from you so thank you!

Mind completely blown although I’ve listened so many times. So good.

Super lesson and playing, thanks. I am not a Beatle fan but loved the breakdown of such a beautiful tune
The 5th Beatle Billy Preston. Also the 6th Rolling Stone. Great lesson. Great tune
This guy is a master
The Beatles get better every year. Thank you thank you 👍👌
Awesome, Andy. Excellent choice, and exceedingly well-taught, as usual!

One of my favorite songs from one of my favorite youtubers
Insanely good lesson, and sadly one of the last Beatles tracks. Have just bought a Gibson Les Paul faded T and genuinely wondering if you regret not using a pickguard.

Grazie, sei fantastico ! ❤
Thank you ! Like your videos shut up & play! Some videos on RUclips, people talk too much make me feel annoying! Just shut up, play, & explain!
Great lesson as usual! How about I dig a pony 🐎 ? ... Wait, maybe you did that already, I’ll check.
love it! you play it well. sounds sweet
Thanks man!!!
Good tutorials, i will learn it

7:52 I have big hands and is really hard my finger to not mute the 3rd string on this. How can I solve this? Thank you
Super cool. Makes me and huge numbers of people know that we actually can play it right. Can you direct me to a site that shows you how to play keyboards as well?
Awesome! Thanks.
John seems to have lifted the main lick from Hendrix's 'Wind Cries Mary.'
I hate to make a request since you do so much for us all already, but "Secrets" by Van Halen needs your attention to details, if you would please. Thanks! Cheers!
Tks a lot for this jewel
Wow. So nice!
do you think you could make a lesson for Sailing Ships by Whitesnake???
Nice work!
excellent.

Any chance, one day, (if possible) to see the fret board from the guitarist's point of view?
