@Anthony Marks In the early 70's I took a hit of lsd and when I started feeling the come-on I put Sargent Peppers on the turntable. The Beatles definitely knew they were gonna blow our minds with that record. I watched the stylus hit the record and immediately I was sent into the most amazing psychedelic movie produced by and starring the Beatles. They exist in a world of their own design in that record.
@@johnsteelman1410 I'm talking about the way he bounces his hand off the strings. It flummoxed me for years how they got that "pulsing/bouncing" sound in the intro.
Wow - triple wow!!! For someone who has enjoyed that song for more than 50 years (wtf - time flies!), you blew me away man, blew me away. What a pleasure - many thanks, Dave (UK)
I'd love to see a video on the electronics setup on that Les Paul. I've always admired the sound you get out of it! It's exactly to my taste! As always, it's always a joy to watch your lessons! Kind regards!
Yeah, he nails the vibe most every time to a tee....... the best really. He pays acute attention to the details and then shows you clearly how to get there.
I have been watching your lessons since I started learning guitar on RUclips. You are the best. Nothing to even dispute. Thanks man! Spot on as always.
At 06:11, could one also play a chord of 5-7-5-6-8-5? On the film of the rooftop concert, it looks like Lennon uses his pinkie on the 8th fret of the B-string?
fair enough but easier to pick up if you call out the fret/string on the lead parts..? sure some wise ass will say oh i can pick it up..but majority of beginner/int players wont be able too.. im slowing the vid down to 25% pick it up -= your playing is spot on as always.
My guitar teacher showed me how to play let it be the cords and solo it sounds pretty good I been trying to work out I got a feeling for years I can't get that I still can't get it
Another Gr8 lesson in how to play a gr8 song .. here is my trivia info bit .. When they did the Roof top gig in London .. The plan was that the Police would turn up at stop them .. This did not turn out as expected & there are extra bit's of film which show the Beatles getting cold & fed up as the polite British Police & the office girls were out on the streets enjoying the music & ( the rumour ? has it that the local ' Bobbies on the Beat ' were slipped a few quid ( dollars ) & some ( anonymous bogus complaint call's were made B4 ) the ever so polite Police men came along & said " now come on chap's you'll have to stop this " Not exactly Chicago riot cops kicking the doors down " & a keen eye can see in the clips George & John looking fed up & trying to keep their hands warm so they had to play the few songs they had planned twice .. But it is a Gr8 song .. Also a bit like Woodstock & the I was there .. If everyone who later on said they were there had turned up then the Police would have come along .. Gotta laugh I bet it was Paul's idea .. But in reality barely made the news on T.V. Peace & love man yeah . Stay safe cool man .
Your analysis is one of the best I have seen. You know your CAGED theory. Good job. There is another so-called Beatles fan/teacher who talks more than he shows. All I will say is he has a studio in France.
Thanks Brother - Seems to me that John picked-up some of George's lead style on "Get Back" - Kind of Rock-a-Billy / Blues, which gets back to The Beatles roots... As a piano/keyboard player, always had to play this and "Hey Bulldog" if playing covers. Cheers from Seattle! BTW, I'm finally able to pitch-in to your account $$.... I really appreciate all that you've taught me!
Hi Andy. Heard you're not doing too great at the moment. Hope to have you back in the saddle soon. You are a fine teacher and such pleasant company of an evening when the family are away to bed and I can get my guitar out. Wishing you good health sir. Oh and I made a donation too yesterday. Everyone should if they are getting something from these tutorials. C'mon loyal subscribers! If Andy can't work just now he can't earn so I'm sure even the smallest of donations would be welcome
Just finished watching Jackson's 3 part Get Back documentary. It"s a long watch, over 2 hours each part but has birth of this song, Paul playing basic riff and humming to Ringo while waiting for John to get to studio...evolution of song and live performance of song (and their last ever) on roof of studio a few weeks later. Fascinating stuff.
Well, the movie video didn't bring the smile I thought it would, but this lesson sure does! I've been really underplaying Harrison's role in the song. (I heard he hated that Telecaster, though. Thin-line made all of Mahogany, was it? Why?)
At the very least, I LOVE watching someone play who NAiLS iT! Amazing. This is one of the first records I ever bought. CCR Willie And The Poor Boys, Abbey Road, LZll and then this one. I had a smokin' hot female cousin who turned me on to all of the great music of the day... I was 11 and it 1970...
Always act like a kid in a candy store whenever I see a Beatles song from you. Those Peter Jackson clips of the the Beatles are mindblowing. Definitely gonna be the highlight of my year watching this movie.
Ayyy awesome mate!! Always love your videos. Is anyone here familiar with the channel, Ably House. They have some of the most accurate Beatles covers out there. They also just dropped their own LP
Thanks not only for another phenomenal tutorial, but for also turning me on to that Peter Weir documentary, which put a smile on my face all day. I found that the song is easy to play on an acoustic, too, if you combine the George and John parts. Anyway, I am now definitely ready to get back to where I once belonged. Getting my second dose of the Moderna vaccine on Tuesday, and I’ll be humming this song while I get the shot. And will throw another bill in your tip hat. Your lessons are gold.
I know you hear it a lot but your lessons are always awesome!! I love that you explain what position/scale is being used but you don’t go over every fret number. For me it is much easier to understand and visualize that way. Thanks so much!!

Thanks, Andy, For All That You Do !
The older I get, the more I appreciate the Beatles.
I always thought of them as being trippy orchestral music -- now I am appreciating their guitar playing.

yeah man
I completely agree
YES! finally someone plays that intro the way Lennon did on the original ... :)

Every song Andrew plays is SPOT ON, most accurate teacher on the web, period.

Their rooftop recording is one of the all time greatest live performances. They were really into the groove. Maybe it was the weather. Thanks.
Man, I wish we had you, the Internet, computers and RUclips when I was in High School in the '70's!!
You have it now. 😅
You definitely passed the audition!
Can we assume "Don't Let Me Down" is next? Great lesson here BTW.
Side 2 baby!!
brilliant
Great lesson. Would love to hear "And Your Bird Can Sing" from you. You're the best by far.
Everytime this guy uploads a new lesson, I know it will be the best lesson of that song.
He is hell of a teacher is he not. He has great chops. I've played for almost 60 years and I subscribed the fist time I caught one of his video.
Thanks for this, I'm watching get back on Disney, now I'm learning this song. love it and your lessons!!!!
Where have you been ??? I consider you the GURU OF ALL GUITAR INSTRUCTORS....!!
Wow - triple wow!!! For someone who has enjoyed that song for more than 50 years (wtf - time flies!), you blew me away man, blew me away. What a pleasure - many thanks, Dave (UK)
You truely have a gift for playing and teaching .so lucky to have your tutorials. You are so talented .every song you play is just perfection .
Thank you very much for your kind words, I really appreciate it!
I picture the D7 at 8:40 as an A7 (X02223) played several frets up... then again, I guess that A7 is just a transposed G7 (XX0001) itself!
You are The best teacher on all of the internet
I think you may be the best teacher going. Also you are a fantastic player. And you’re attitude is just beautiful. A real pleasure
You're the best on RUclips...Hands down!! Thanks!! 😁
Your lessons are killer....detailed yet concise.

Absolutely great stuff Andy. Me and about a million other people can;t get enough of your lessons! Awesome every friggin time! #LuvIt
