The sweet spot of acoustic music. Pure. Simple. Refined. Focused. Simply incredible and most enjoyable. Thanks for a wide smile at the end of a hard day.
I grew up with the Beatles and loved their music. It is so great to see today's young people liking their music too and giving such a great performance.
Far out ... it's truly impressive when a "cover" can take a 67 y.o. back to her 14 year old self listening to the Beatles on her tiny tinny pink record player up in her lower working class 'I gotta get out of this place' bedroom in inner North Sydney (Australia) with real tears. Magic. It's very very hard to do a cover that satisfies the original longing of a teenage heart. And you achieve it every single time! P.S. The bedroom had no power point (it was an 1880's terrace way before 'gentrification') and so a long extension lead snaked its way up 14 late Victorian stairs to my bedroom.
A wonderful remembrance, Carolyn. I'm a couple decades behind you and slightly jealous of the wonder you must have experienced at hearing this back then. I've recently concluded that mostly who we are as individuals is the sum of our memories and experiences. And for all its (many) faults, the Internet is maybe a good vehicle to preserve and share our memories a while longer, perhaps granting our lives a longer reach than what we were originally granted. In short, thanks for sharing your memories. It was cool to read of them.
IDK. It's nice, this cover. And I really appreciate all these kids who are in tune with old music as well, and I could never do it myself. You feel the 'but' coming? But for this tune I truly have the feeling that one needs to have lived a little different life, or have had some kind of background to cover this one. Lennon had gone through so much already before this one. Please check out the Dillard & Clark version when it comes to this one. ruclips.net/video/oOdxNy6m-A4/видео.html Cheers.
I usually agree, not this time tho’. The Beatles’ version has a hint of desperation, a cry if you will, this arrangement is somehow “just another song”.
Alright, with the indisputable creativity and virtuosity of these folks, along with Josh's incomparable production techniques, I think they could blow everyone socks off with a Bohemian Rhapsody cover!! Who's with me? The world needs more of Josh, Carson, Reina Del Cid, and Toni!
@Insignificant Speck Of Dust I met Josh Turner a couple of years ago. Hanging round after a gig chatting to the audience. He was delightful, generous and as far from conceited as it is possible to be. And it was an amazing gig.

Just amazing - I wish I had the words to explain what these Beatles songs mean to me after more than 50 years. And these versions are fantastic at keeping it alive.
I agree totally. I was so into the Beatles, way back when, and these talented young artists are bringing it all back to me and I love it, love it, love it. Great job!!!!
