I know how irrelevant my comment will sound, but Josh's voice is getting more and more polished, always sounding so natural and round. And the atmosphere in this studio... Man, out of this world! Keep giving us more of this!
Please call him Joshua, not Josh. It's Joshua, Joshua, Joshua. Joshua Lee Turner. Name please...oh it's Joshua, Joshua Lee Turner. Hello Joshua. It was discovered that Joshua sounds more refined and dynamic than Josh. Ok? Now come on man.
@@vivienlee610 Obviously only "Joshua Lee Turner" will do. He kind of one upped John Lee Hooker, who missed a trick by not calling himself Jonathon Lee Hooker. He would have been 100% more classy and successful as Jonathon Lee Hooker. But obviously he wasn't as savvy as Joshua Lee Turner.
@@oinkooink Josh Lee Turner is easier to say than Joshua Lee Turner, especially if you have false teeth (which I havnt). Whatever you call him he's still incredibly talented..and by the way.. Do I call you Oink ooink... Or just.. Oink? 😁
I know Josh can sound uncannily like Paul Simon if he chooses to, but this version is more individual, with a subtle nod to country stylings, to my ears. Keep em coming, this combo rocks!
I love how we are all so taken with JT's talent and his uncanny ability to interpret PS that we are discussing the tiniest nuances of of those interpretations! Brilliant.
Paul Simon should be thankful Josh is out there shining a new light on so many of his tunes. Spotlighting what a great songwriter Paul is, and at the same time showing that Josh’s musicianship can put a new polish on pretty much everything.
This “kid” and the circle of talent he hangs with are amazing. Whenever I’m feeling the need to lighten my heart I log in the inter web and spend a few clicks enjoying his/their interpretations. 😃🤩🎶🎸🎤
This is great but I also loved the stuff he did with Carson McKee ... they were like a modern day merge between Buddy Holly and the Everly Brothers ... brilliant... cheers for posting
Josh is allowing himself to sing in his natural voice on these recent Paul Simon covers instead of mimicking Simon's voice. Either way, always good. You Album Cover guys and gals ain't too shabby either.
Taylor sang "Still Crazy" on some Simon celebration concert, and he did a fantastic job, until he decided to do the old Frank Sinatra thing and improv some cringy additional lyrics. Something like "still doggone bat crap crazy ..." He can be a bit of a ham.
One of my all-time Simon favorites. I remember listening to this on hot summer nights in 1973 while riding in a convertible. Those were some good times.
It comes to mind from time to time even after all these years. Why did I memorize the parts of a frog and I've never needed to know what the value of x is. ....maybe better to have been an apprentice and learned a trade.
What sort of useless information did you need to learn in High School? As an engineer, I have found that I wish I had tried harder in all subjects in High School. Yes, there were tons of things I don't use, but few things I wish I didn't know.
If Americans in general worked harder and learnt more during highschool then DJT would not have become president because then you all would have learnt some sense
I've been watching Josh and friends on and off your a few years now and was always impressed with his string instrument talent. Todays first time I've watched in a while and notice a maturing in his vocals. This cover was excellent. I definitely got a James Taylor vibe from his vocals in this. Enjoyed very much.
Nice going. Sounded great and looked like fun. Always thought that was a cool song with strange lyrics that fit picture perfect in Simon’s color space. Cheers!
Another excellent cover of a Paul Simon classic! Well assembled with the extraordinary band. Josh just keeps growing as a musician and as a singer. Fantastic!
Wonderful job guys You know if your not a musician, it takes a lot of hard work to perform any song live. It’s worse performing it live and being spot on. I mean you guys have really done your homework congratulations
Incredible! Great cover! It's what all great covers need to be. They were true to the original but, at the same time, made it theirs. The lead singer has a great voice and his articulation with not only tone but also lyrics is top notch. These guys are quite good.
Josh loves Paul Simon and his originality and his bravery to think outside the box. This does both Paul Simon and Josh great credit, not many would dare to go there.
Two awesome videos in one day!!! What a treat! 😃😃😃 Oh, and I think Josh plays better barefoot. That must be one of those fancy techniques you learn a prestigious music school… 😂
I know how irrelevant my comment will sound, but Josh's voice is getting more and more polished, always sounding so natural and round. And the atmosphere in this studio... Man, out of this world! Keep giving us more of this!
Totally agree with you.

I couldn't have said it better myself!
Yep, I agree!
You nailed it
I too heard the country stylings too. Excellent cover, though and pretty much note-perfect.
I love how we are all so taken with JT's talent and his uncanny ability to interpret PS that we are discussing the tiniest nuances of of those interpretations! Brilliant.
at 72 years old, I've heard a lot of covers. This would make Paul Simon PROUD!
Really because it was written by Dave Faulkner ... the singer of Hoodoo Gurus
Paul Simon should be thankful Josh is out there shining a new light on so many of his tunes. Spotlighting what a great songwriter Paul is, and at the same time showing that Josh’s musicianship can put a new polish on pretty much everything.
No Josh should be thankful they are getting eyes one them for a song that Paul Simon wrote.
I have loved josh for years. Paul doesn't owe him anything. Not even close.
That is effen great Sooo much talent
Your voice sounds like Paul Simon’s with a touch of James Taylor
My exact thoughts.
This “kid” and the circle of talent he hangs with are amazing. Whenever I’m feeling the need to lighten my heart I log in the inter web and spend a few clicks enjoying his/their interpretations. 😃🤩🎶🎸🎤
Me too
This is great but I also loved the stuff he did with Carson McKee ... they were like a modern day merge between Buddy Holly and the Everly Brothers ... brilliant... cheers for posting
get ready for a bunch more traffic from Josh's crowd ;) You guys did great! now I need a full paul simon tribute album
And this is a polished, professional Josh-like production. Josh's crowd will love this.
Thanks
Joshua's voice transforms that Paul Simon's song into a James Taylor's hit. Wow, what a genius!
Wow yeah his voice and stylings sound a lot more like JT than Paul Simon ❤
Josh is allowing himself to sing in his natural voice on these recent Paul Simon covers instead of mimicking Simon's voice. Either way, always good. You Album Cover guys and gals ain't too shabby either.
I love how you record the old fashioned way with everybody playing on the take together.
That's the way it should be ... with any warts and all ... mainly because that and this is real music .. cheers
Maybe Paul didn`t ; )
Taylor sang "Still Crazy" on some Simon celebration concert, and he did a fantastic job, until he decided to do the old Frank Sinatra thing and improv some cringy additional lyrics. Something like "still doggone bat crap crazy ..." He can be a bit of a ham.
Just a wonderful song, was a hit back when, still applies today, except who uses film now. Younger generation won’t understand all meaning
Another track of the famous Concert in Central Park released 41 years ago. It's really perfect.
I could listen to Josh, Carson, Reina, and Allison all day!
When i think back on all the tracks you've laid down.... it's a wonder i can think at all... amazing!
Drummer plays with incredible feel.
Whoa, nice backup vocals/keyboard from Merissa Marx. More please!
Fantastic! Better than any modern garbage of today.
What an amazing voice. I subbed you. I do play but don’t sound like you lol :(
It's music. Not trash. Wonderfully done guys.
Simon’s songs are timeless, and the fact that Josh & Co. are keeping this alive is wonderful. Thank you.
One of my all-time Simon favorites. I remember listening to this on hot summer nights in 1973 while riding in a convertible. Those were some good times.
If James Taylor covered Paul Simon-THIS is what it would sound like. Beautifully done.
“When I think back on all the crap I learned in high school, it’s a wonder I can think at all”. One of the most relevant lines in all of music.
It comes to mind from time to time even after all these years. Why did I memorize the parts of a frog and I've never needed to know what the value of x is.

Sooooooooo good.
I have zero musical talent, but anyone can appreciate and recognize the precision of their collective play.
this kid is good. the whole band is good
Playing barefoot is what gave it the country vibe. If you had been wearing shoes you would have sounded more like Paul Simon. 100%.
This young man is really good, and the musicians playing with him are as well.
Listened to your other covers you deserve a lot more subscribers.
Applause ! 😎
Better than the original.

Bravo !😎
Mieux que l'original.
This is a really good cover of "Kodachrome"
Thank you, everyone's performance made beautiful sunshining music❤
A great collaboration! I have another amazing group of musicians to enjoy.
You sing with such a rare richness. This was just perfection. Thank you!!
Josh is awesome. The rest of the group is super.
This guy is so gifted! Never disappoints! Thank you!
Mr. Drummer is spot on the beat; with finesse ♥
I was getting ready to dislike this cover (before I hit play), and wound up singing along - great work everyone.
Josh is the greatest of the greatest...say no more...
I’ve been following this talented man for about 10 years now. Takes me back to some of the village coffee house days. Great music Josh.
I've been watching Josh and friends on and off your a few years now and was always impressed with his string instrument talent. Todays first time I've watched in a while and notice a maturing in his vocals. This cover was excellent. I definitely got a James Taylor vibe from his vocals in this. Enjoyed very much.
That was great. hate to say this but it brought me back to high school, junior year. Love your music.
Came over from Josh. Any friends of Josh gets my ear. Sounds great.
Excellent cover - well done to all who participated, and to Kelly for her filming. Nice to see Josh feature on another band's channel.
yeah Josh, we felt good about that one
Great job y'all. I was singin' on in the end "oh maybelline, why can't you be true ..." ❤️
Nice going. Sounded great and looked like fun. Always thought that was a cool song with strange lyrics that fit picture perfect in Simon’s color space. Cheers!
Oh hell yeah, Josh and company!
You are nailing these Paul Simon songs.
I bet your Kodachrome is safe. After all you presented a concise, respectful plea to your Momma That aside, I’m in love with the key board player.
I grew up with this song. Never knew the words before. I sing 'the dreams of summer'
and 'love to take you for a drive'. lol oh well.
Wow. I've been transported back to 1973. I'm 11 years old again. Good memories. Great cover. Thank you for sharing this
That was really fun to listen to, it got me singing backup.
Really nice arrangement, great playing all around and nice mix for all the vocals & instruments !
Very, very, very nice cover from Kodachrome !!!!! Josh's voice sounds like James Taylor :-)
one of best paul songs and very well done by Josh
Kudos to each of the talented musicians in this video….awesome rendition of this great song!
It’s amazing! From Russia, with love!)
Impeccable. This guy makes the best covers imaginable.Certainly, nobody does Paul Simon better. Can't wait for the day they do a duet.
Another excellent cover of a Paul Simon classic! Well assembled with the extraordinary band. Josh just keeps growing as a musician and as a singer. Fantastic!
What majorly talented diverse artist you are. Keep blessing us with what the good Lord has given you!
`70s music is the best music.
Just so nice to see young people keep the "real" music alive, fantastic talent
Every time I listen to Josh and crew I am simply blown away...Bravo!!!
Josh, I love everything that you do! What a talented man with a fantastic band.
Josh & friends soooo awesome at these Paul Simon covers. So perfect !
The best film ever, Kodachrome 200!
First time I’ve ever really liked that song. Young lady sang nice harmonies.
Fantastic recording, guys! Loved your Liverpool gig, Josh!
Damn, how awesome is this…
OH HOLY JEBUS MY EARS WEREN'T READY
Wonderful job guys
You know if your not a musician, it takes a lot of hard work to perform any song live. It’s worse performing it live and being spot on. I mean you guys have really done your homework congratulations
Never heard this band before, but jeese, started singing and sounded exactly like PS.
Been waiting for this one awhile now.......Inevitable, BIG smile
What a fantastic cover of that song! Brilliant!!!
Loved this Josh, your band is excellent and the singing is beautiful, loved the backing harmonies, bravo all. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
one of my all time favourite songs and you more than did it justice ❤
There is a whole lotta talent in that studio. Fantastic version of a fantastic classic.
Thank you. This is awesome. It reconnected me with music.
Incredible! Great cover! It's what all great covers need to be. They were true to the original but, at the same time, made it theirs. The lead singer has a great voice and his articulation with not only tone but also lyrics is top notch. These guys are quite good.
The harmony with the keyboardist is great.
Josh always incredible!!!
Wow! Another Paul Simon cover masterpiece!!
Having never heard these musicians (that I know of), I was struck by how much the lead singer (Josh?) sounds like James Taylor.
Nice video editing job!
This sounded like Jim Croce singing this. So good. Josh is so talented as are so many of the people he surrounds himself with
Another gem! Love it. Your phrasing and interplay with the guitar playing you do so well, always perfect. So easy sounding.
that was awesome . that chord Josh grabs way down the neck at the end of the song is perfect. (a fiddle would have been nice)
Josh loves Paul Simon and his originality and his bravery to think outside the box. This does both Paul Simon and Josh great credit, not many would dare to go there.
Well done,Josh (and friends)! One of my favorite Paul Simon songs.
Wow. They/he nailed it. Great song, great job!
One of my favorite Paul Simon's works. 1973, I think. Wonderful album
You guys do a beautiful job Paul Simon would be proud👍🏼👍🏼🎸😎😃
Seriously good
Righteous tribute to a classic, right there!!
Freakin owned it, and what a sweet ensemble josh put together there?
I still love that Rhodes sound. I owed one in the 90ies but sold it when I moved to Hamburg and didn't have enough space in my flat.
Definitely a talented group! Nice.
Another fabulous cover
Job well done
Two awesome videos in one day!!! What a treat! 😃😃😃 Oh, and I think Josh plays better barefoot. That must be one of those fancy techniques you learn a prestigious music school… 😂
