Recorded live on an off day in Wabash, Indiana, in the back of a tour bus. This is one of the tunes from the show, although we modified the arrangement slightly to accommodate the fact that, you know, we're in the back of a bus.

About Josh Turner Guitar
Josh began making RUclips videos in 2007. Ranging from popular to esoteric, local to far flung, and playful to serious, Josh’s videos offer a little something for everyone. Josh also performs regularly with long-time collaborator, Carson McKee, as the folk duo The Other Favorites. Josh’s first full-length solo album, As Good A Place As Any, was released in April 2019.

Guitar is a Martin 000-28H
Keyboard is a Nord Stage 3 - Radial JDI
Bass is a 3-string American Fender J with Bartolini's and flats - Aguilar Tone Hammer
"Kick" is a 16' Yamaha floor tom with an sE VBeat mic clipped on it
There was also a Gadd signature snare but you can't hear it
Filmed on a Canon EOS R with a 35mm f/1.8 (set to f/4). Edited in Premiere.

Josh just slides in to any one, or any group, of musical geniuses and makes the recipe divine....... and always has a blast doing it. It's total musical joy. We are so lucky to witness it.
That's probably my favorite thing about these videos - they make it seem like there's this secret society of great young musicians HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT. And they're all buddies.

You are too literal. They don't have to be only on the bus while they are out riding from place to place on the bus. But, yeah, when I clicked on this video I was also expecting to see them actually inside the bus while playing.

Yet again teaching me that it is best to read the description before commenting -- and proving the accuracy of Alex Cavanna Music's comment. Definitely not the bus I imagined (see link in my prior comment).
There are so many wonderful little details in this video. When the pianist and bassist look at each other like "we're killing this", when the drummer hits that super satisfying high note in the harmony, when the singer with the glasses looks with admiration at the pianist killing that solo. And everyone is just having so much fun. I keep coming back to it. Great great great work!

@@imannonymous7707 Ah, I'm probably wrong. Internet issues yesterday so I guess all of the audio was out of sync. And 2:09 sounded like guitar but it's just their lips.
@@danperlman230 It's probably because the audio was recorded through a DAW and then mated to the video. It's not synced with a worldclock or anything like that just by eye/ear at the beginning of the clip.
this is quite literally one of the greatest covers i have ever heard. the energy is unmatched.
The fact a group of young people know this music and appreciate it and can play it so amazingly well gives me hope for humanity

The dad in the corner is my son Bob Sale, who has done several tours with the boys in The Simon and Garfunkel Story. He is the best drummer ever!

@@tsfurlan It's called giving a compliment. But if you want to go into the nitty-gritty, there's no sax solo but a nice piano solo. There is a great harmony with 4 different voices ( which is hard to do just live with that setup) and not through overdubbing Paul Simon 4 times singing in a different key. But most of all it was just a compliment. And in my opinion a better rendition than the original.
Woke up this morning wanted to listen to this younger generation of Baby Drivers & musicians carrying on the tradition of music born in America - Looking forward to what kind of originals you will come up with - - thanks kids (I'm 84 yr. old ex-outlaw, so all of you are 'kids' in my 'book')

This is memorializing, this is the greatest compliment any artist could receive! It means the original work was so good that people love it enough to want to sing it themselves and keep it alive for generations to come!!

Like many others I've listened to this several times and it's a fantastic rendition of a timeless tune. How 145 people gave this a thumbs down is beyond me, and yes before someone responds, I do understand that everyone is entitled to their opinion. In my opinion these guys are very very talented. The technical facility of Josh, the whole a sort magnificent musical statement, is breathtaking. Is there no limit to this musical wonder? The tiny, tiny chord changes at the very start are themselves a source of astonished wonder, at least for me.
