I think the squishy plastic is used for his hands and sword because they don’t want people poking their eyes out with them. I hate it when “regulations” prevent having things like pointy plastic.

Voyager size yet Leader pricepoint? This figure is a shining example of this, i will gladly pay the leader pricepoint to get around some of the shortcuts and budget restrictions of a voyager. They should have put Sentinel Prime as a leader. Great review as always P!
@@Commander_Shepard. From what I see, hasbro uses way less plastic than they did back in the day (say 2003-12) than they do now and charge even MORE than they use to. I remember when deluxe class figures were only $10 and voyagers were $20 and they were quite a bit bigger than what we get now and im seeing deluxe class figures go for $15 and they are tiny even compared to movie 1 deluxe Bumblebee that sold for 10$. The only thing complex about this figure is the sculpt work but the transformation engineering is no more complex than many of their past figures ROTF leader class prime is a glaring example of this.

Never did care for Shockwaves vehicle mode but I understand why it was implemented in the first place. That said, I’ve come to appreciate his alternative mode a bit more as I see it as more of an extension of his arsenal. It’s pretty much taking his power and putting it on wheels. God damn though. He is one thick mother and a must buy. edit - One month later here. Shockwave just arrived and uh, yea. He's kind of really amazing and tabs in incredibly well. His vehicle mode? Dope as fuck. 9/10 SS figure. It's the rubber pieces. The blade stays in but the connection kind of sucks.
Mr Logical is back, and better then ever. The painting reminds me of his TF: Prime color scheme, which is cool. Love the resculpting and details in this Shockwave remold, looking exactly like his DOTM movie and video game appearance. Thought the feet looks weird, because it looks like he has no heels, just the heel spurs, but I'm sure there's some way around it. Wheelie and Brain looks cool, but the paratrooper, not feeling it. Again, a great improvement over the original DOTM Shockwave toyline. His transformation into tank mode, wish it happen into the movie, but it's cool we can do it ourselves and great admire its detailing. Similar to ROTF Meagtron, which is cool. Out of the two, Shockwave wears it best. -Looking forward to adding the Decepticon assassin to my TF collection, and hope that the Studio Series toyline release his KSI drone known as Two Heads and/or re-release Nitro Zeus with the Shockwave head, to match his TLK appearance.

I'm definitely getting both shock wave and soundwave. Holy crap they look amazing next to star scream and barricade. Dark of the Moon is oine of my favorite movies so I definitely getting all the decepticons for that movie
This guy is by far my favorite of the leaders of the line because Shockwave's the guy I have been pleading to Hasbro to remake. Now I'm happy this finally exist! He's my next christmas present.

Hello PrimeVSPrime I got my Shockwave almost a week ago, oh wow it is so awesome, and it dont have any flaw with the feet except the blade. But the best thing with Shockwave that it still have the 'Protoform' ich body type, unlike all other Studio Series Line
The one thing that really annoys me is the excessive unnecessary use of rubbery plastic and the fact that there are certain reused elements of the rotf voyager megatron. I mean really Hasbro. All the aside I am mostly happy with the figure.
I found him tonight, w more earthrise and all the deluxe and the other leader class scavenger. I bought soundwave. I'm hesitant to buy the leader class studio series without a sale/coupon bc they always go clearance/cheaper or target has a sale... But damn, it was hard leaving this shockwave on the shelf. Him and blackout are some of the best transformers made.

The details... the paint scheme... the sculpt.. I cannot believe this is an ACTUAL ACTION FIGURE!! It looks like something that would sell more than $50, like one of those statues.
I just got this figure, and I’m not going to unplug the hose but I found it better to put the hose over the front of his thigh and the hinge on his back faces inward, only goes in that way during transformation. It makes it where the hose doesn’t hinder the rolling

I still have the Voyager shockwave, but he's now missing his blade, and hose... Which I substituted with Lego parts... My mom got him for me when we were at target in 2011, and the movie had not yet released in theaters. I was gonna bring him with me to watch the movie, but I opted for the burger king shockwave instead...
I have to wonder why DNA design still mater not released DK-18 Upgrade Kit for this guy. But even still, this is an AWESOME FIGURE! I also have this figure, and i LOVE it! Although, my cop's ankles AND hips are too loose, and unfortunately, i cannot fix that. But I can probably fix his Cannon's loose bicep swivel.
I'm so happy this figure turned out so nicely! Alt mode is whatever but who cares?? The detail and paintwork are absolutely stunning. I can't wait to get mine. I don't mind the PVC hands, but the soft plastic blade is pretty lame. But who knew that metallic purple drybrushing would be my new favorite thing in the whole world?? Side note: You should invest in one of those turntable display thingies so you don't have to do it manually haha :D
