But to take on the character of Longarm, Shockwave makes a host of small changes, that added up to a _completely_ different form. Yes, nominally, his arms, hips and neck compress down. But there are so many other details, like his folding thigh guards, shoulder pylons, fold-down horns, rotating legs, new face, his shoulders pulling out and down to take on a broader, squatter form, and the thumbs of his claws rotating to form a whole new pair of hands. This all results and a character with an entirely different _shape_ to his original form, not just a few details. Plus he even has two different _alt-modes,_ from Shockwave's H-tank and its long cannon, to Longarm's high-rise crane mode. Like, if you look at them side-by-side, the similarities are obvious, but they're also different enough that unless he's already aroused someone's suspicions, no-one would think to make the connection...

7:25 I did one of these customs too, except the cannon on mine was salvaged from the torso of an old Zoid Hellrunner, with shoulder parts from a robot building kit...
7:45 He may not be the same Shockwave, but that lad (which was redecoed from Armada Terradive) was actually a really nice Minicon.
9:15 The conversion from Longarm to Shockwave is _ingenious._ Punch/Counterpunch was a clever idea in the first place, but each character was basically the other facing backwards.
