  • Hit and run on foot, that is.
    This episode is interesting, as it shows some fundamentals of investigative technique. I'm curious to see what y'all's thoughts are and will leave the intro at that... other than to mention that the subject's shirt probably didn't help his story much.
    Enjoy.

If you dont' drink for 7 days, and drink on the 8th day... it's against every law of physics to suggest that you have changed anything about the previous 7 days. Not drinking isn't going to make your life any better, it's just gonna make you sober, expecting anything else is irrational, anyone who's promising you more is apart of a new aged religion. That doesn't mean that you don't choose to make not drinking a priority of yours. don’t be concerned with what others think of how you do it. @@Mymentoh😂😂😂 you’re hilarious. There’s a big difference between comforting and enabling. My parents raised me to deal with the consequences of my actions and taught me how to be an adult. This lady is quite literally trying to do all the things HE should be doing as an ADULT i.e calling his work, figuring out the tow & bond. How is that showing him that what he did was wrong? If that’s how easy it was for him the first time, he’ll definitely continue doing it again and again. Obviously my parents raised me properly bc I’m not the one out here drinking and driving 😂 I’ve never even been pulled over before.

    • @Mymentoh
      @Mymentoh 6 месяцев назад +1

      @sewwithmo6618 That's great for you and I'm glad you have a clean record. You're right, he definitely should be doing all those things on his own. But I don't think someone that drunk is qualified to do those things. She wasn't pleading with the officers to let him off scotch free. Nor was she blaming them. She told him to stop lying, and tell the truth. Some people parent differently and it's definitely not fair to assume she's enabling. Maybe that's the first time she's done that? I have parents who also taught me to deal with consequences of my actions. I was put out on my ass a few months after I turned 18. But my brother who has the same parents is doing coke and treating us like garbage. Parenting doesn't always equate to how children turn out.

      He did not just want to "give him a chance." He wanted a confession to seal the case, so there could be no arguing it/getting it thrown out in court. The witness couldn't identify him, the traffic cam wouldn't be able to identify him, and obviously his DNA would be in his own car. All he had to do was keep his mouth shut and a lawyer would have an easy win on this case for him. Officer knew he couldn't prove he was driving the car, so offered to "give him a chance" if he just admits to it. My son wrecked, called me at 3am to tell me. Said he wasn’t hurt, I asked if he was sober he said yes. Then he didn’t answer his phone for HOURS
      HE GOT ARRESTED he WAS drunk and he lied to the cops. Though he wasn’t speeding he broke his collar bone when the airbag deployed. He had to sit in jail three days before he could get to a judge
      A DWI is a misdemeanor. But bc he lied more charges were added. So stupid
